Today my daughter, Abby, is driving the draft horses and taking the Percherons for a run! The horses haven't gotten as much exercise lately with all of the rain we have been getting so Abby went out with Ken & Buck, our Percheron team, to get some energy out!

If I heard right you have musicians in the family wonderful, we would love a concert. Do make sure the Horses are in attendance. LOL. It would be fun and who knows maybe you will get to the 50,000 with a concert.

Yep, horses will "step up" when going home.....I even noticed that when doing field work. It was a good idea to stop just a bit before reaching row end to catch a rest because if I turned them around to rest and they were pointed toward barn they would want to take off. Had to keep their back ends toward the barn and heads pointed away. Great drive ladies. Happy Easter

On Thanksgiving Day, 2021 I counted 28 Amish horse and buggies travelling in a row on route 17 in Whitefield, Maine. At about 8:30 a.m.

Great ride girls. I liked the one angle where ya had all the "butts" lined up at once. I know.... I'm being bad for saying that, "butt" it was just an interesting angle. Abby is becoming quite the "teamster"!! Thanks again ladies!!

Good afternoon 😊 to all of you,the weather is looking very moody for you out there.lts a beautiful day for us with full sun and the trees are full of blossoms.I noticed that Buck was not walking on the road with Ken but on softer sandy surface....wouldn't he be working harder and maybe that's why he was panting more then Ken! I hope you all have a fabulous time seeing all the family it sounds really exciting.Think you might have to bake some more of your apple pies Brenda,do you have custard or cream with the apple pies! Oh that sweet little cat,l think she's been on a date 😆 she is very very larg and probably have her baby's in two or three days time...lm going for 3 kittens at a guess 😊 Have a wonderful week ahead,all the very best dear friends 🌱🌱🌱💕

Normal gestation (the length of a cat’s pregnancy) lasts 63-65 days. Mother cats typically know what to do when it is time to deliver, and if you find them building or sleeping in a cozy nest, then know you are in the final week of pregnancy, and it is almost time for the birthing process to begin.

This was an exciting video to see mother and daughter on sled. It’s very brisk day for a brisk ride with the team. You definitely got a nice view of how much bigger buck is then the other horse. It was a nice run for the horses but I could tell that Abby’s Hands are beginning to hurt her as they were being pulled upon when the horses were cantering. The hill slowed those horses down pretty quickly though, and she got a reprieve from all the tugging on her hands!! Such a beautiful sleigh and it would be fun to ride on in the snow for sure! I Love the sound of the horses hooves as they walk… They are so beautiful. It was nice to see mother and daughter out for a ride❣️❣️

Use riding gloves, helps your grip strength. Keeps the sun off your hands in summer, the cold in winter.

Not sure Im too keen on letting the horses run home.. (maybe Ive had 1 too many run aways).. to me theres a difference between "asking " them n "allowing"...tis good to see the ladies take them out..and holding the reins as you say Jim personal preference in this case if Abby was too hold the reins with lil finger leading and up right making a Z with the reins she may have more purchase n less fatigue in her hands..again personal preference..having said all that at the end of day all got home safe n sound n thats the main thing..keep up the great work..cheers

I love watching your daughters filming all you show good shots this what's its about the horses I don't like to hear music like Playing when you are doing what you do as said I want to here that music of what you do love watching yall do it O when I went on that drive I made the music play that hoofbeet and your daughters drive real good love watching them they exsplan how they drive looks like they injoy there self I'm going to start doing jobs for my friend and hopefully take my new girl with me when I can get her. Trained how to handle the horses I love every one of your videos I don't miss many of them by and keep that music playing I'm hereing the chains now and that gust adds to the music got togo

Jim im.not a horse guy i had riding horses fir years and years, but last year I switched to mules I've never driven horses or mules. But I still learn a lot from watching your videos video's . Thanks for sharing your 40 plus years of knowledge . And as you suggested I to have amish here where i love and there a great resource of information .

When I was about 12 years old I had a Riding mare who was hard headed she would be really gentle and slow going but, on the way back it took a tight rein to keep her from galloping back home. She once gave me a unpleasant choice we turned into the lot and I had to decide whether to duck or roll of her back. I rolled of her back she went on into the barn.

You need to buy a pair of ladies riding gloves. You could have leather burn with out them. More control on the horses. Another good video!

You guys all you show real good shots of what you do how you do it I like that I can here the hoof beat on the payment just music to my ears you shoe real good shots of the horses stepping real good of pulling shots I just lovei I went this past sat and drove a pair black percharons to a wagon net to exercise them pluse took my first dTe in 40 years with me and she loved it I hope we get to get together just because she likes working with horses and I love it she said she like to do this again we had a good time I love watching yell and I save every video you do darn good showing I like to here the birds sing the horses snort chain saw wagon creeks cracks can some times here the wheel on the pave ment and that music of the hoofbeat it is real its butifull I like WActhi g your wife when she helping

My grandpa had Haflingers. I loved riding with him in the sled, cart, wagon, forecart basically anything he could have a passenger on. We plowed with them. Hauled fire wood and manure. We showed them. I miss everything we used to do.
