Before anyone gets too excited, I'm not saying this is going to be my next car, but I was definitely blown away by my experience and when I start weighing up options, it could be a contender ... if I find a cheap one that's done 100,000 miles!
The cheapest one out there in UK looks like £115,900. Vanquish would ask F-type R "Who's your daddy?" Very similar car, F-type just a little, or a lot, cheaper. And I guess that's why you fell in love with it. You drive your car everyday, so I think you better end up with a "comfortable" supercar than just a quickest car you can afford.
and then gtr fanboys say that the r34 is the most beautiful car in the world... this one is not only one of the most beautiful cars ever, I think it's also the most beautiful aston ever made
If you see a supercar for sale at a significantly lower price than other similar models: don't buy it. Most of the time it's either because it has been trashed, crashed or poorly maintained.
Sam, why not replace the F-Type with a 911 Carrera GTS? Its good to live with every day and will happily hoon its way down a twisty mountain road and is also easy to live with every day.
Test drove a FF, Cali T and Vanquish recently. Vanquish is easiest to drive, sounds the best during normal driving and feels the most special, Screen small but graphics looks cool, saving to buy one, Stunning Cars
Awesome 👌.....for me not the vanquish, but my DB9.2....I'm smitten as well...didn't do a custom exhaus, but did do a secondary cat delete.....agree on the infotainment, but then again, I'm too busy listening to the car itself to actually care...lol.....what a lovely auto
I love the vanquish, it's such a good looking car and one of my top 5 dream cars, love the video. in the video u said that u would probably like the f type replacement to mid engine, which got me thinking, what cars would fit into your 'bugdet' with this ive come up with a couple cars that would be pretty good considerations; 2016 Audi r8 v10 plus 2012-2015 porsche 911 turbo s (more of a GT car, and it's rear engined) 2012 McLaren 12c All of these car are between £100000 - £150000 for the cheapest ones and it would be pretty awesome to see u own a supercar/supersports car
that aston seems amazing! if you have the time whilst being in L.A., go to the Griffith observatory. it is located a few miles east of the hollywood sign. there a re some nice roads there (do keep an eye out for cops), and if you are there during sunset, it is the most amazing place to be at, looking over downtown L.A. and the entire L.A. area! great for photos of the cars as well.
Great video, as usual. First, love the Aston and it would make a good daily. It would seem to hit almost every point on the check list from a drivers point of view. But, at least for me they don't excite the soul. Astons, well, most of them are beautiful cars. However, they don't stir the soul and ignite the fire making me lust for them. I also enjoy Doug DeMuro's youtube video's and he recently did a "reactions on the street" about the older Aston he has been driving. Kinda nailed the feeling. Now, a bright color, better exhaust, rims etc might change that as you just don't see many Astons like that.
I always like to see Aston Martin cars because they have bigger backside and wider tyres, just like the Porsche 911 turbo, nice to look at, that should be the style of a supercar, they are pretty awesome.
A list of more "comfortable" grand touring type of supercars/high-end sports cars I can think of.(and likely your budget allows) 2013-15 Audi R8 V10 plus: £75K-90K mid engine and great V10 sound, looks and feels like a supercar, but pretty much do-it-all. 2009-11 Ferrari California: £90K-105K a little old. a grand tourer, sound is pretty much the same as 430. some feel *too comfortable* for a Ferrari. 2014-16 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS: £90K-£105K quite new. definitely more comfortable than track toys like GT3 and GT3-RS. a deceptively fast car. NA flat 6 sounds nice. 2013-14 Porsche 911 Turbo: £95K-£105K defined as a grand tourer by Porsche, therefore its ride quality is good, despite of possessing ridiculous acceleration, even as a "non-S".
the reflection of the red leather on the interior side of the windshield from the dash isn't an Aston ONLY issue. I have a corvette z06 and also an audi and its just that the reds and blues reflect on the window. Tan never did.
It's really stunning, so much nicer than the new DB11. The paddle shifters, on camera, do kinda sound like the overly plasticky Corvette paddles. I've always liked how understated Astons are compared to most supercars. If I had the money, I'd be picking between a used V8 Vantage and 911.
Hey See Through Glass you should consider the Acura NSX if you are looking for semi-affordable mid engine super car. It is a hybrid so will great on fuel, which is great for a daily driver and you don't see a lot of them! Just my opinion when hearing you talking about a replacement for your F-Type this video.
You my friend are better than the stuff I am seeing on Motor Trend and Top Gear like silly skits and acting. This review sold me based on your genuine enthusiasm. Like night and day the British are to the Americans. Anyhow, both love war mongering. The war has begun everybody! What a wonderful Xmas present this car would be if these times were not so precarious. Invest bankers are pulling monies. As you all should too. Good luck everybody and when the they flip the givernments Internet kill switch then we will all go outside. See yang around.
one of the things that i dont like about the db11 is that the rev counter goes in the right direction and it seems like im the only one who noticed that
Problem with Aston Matins is that the put Bang and Olufsen stereos in them. I don't think I could live with a British car that had a Bang and Olufsen stereo.
