So cool! I worked the lights once for Alice In Chains. Well actually I just had my phone light on but still! AIC and Muse the following night. SICKKKKKK
Dude Jim and Mick are so nerdy with their guitars I love whenever they manage to do interviews about guitar. You can tell they can spend an entire day talking about guitars and im here for it
Hey X, I'm an IOWA guy and Slipknot is our people. I have 2 of Jim's guitars. That is such a cool life experience for you. Thank you for sharing brother.
My mom’s boyfriend is from Iowa and he said when he was younger his band played a shit ton of gigs with Slipknot before they became mega rockstars. He said they were super cool and the one thing he kept saying was “i don’t think I’ve eve seen such a small man play such a huge drumset the way Joey did” lol
Hopefully at some point someone will upload a video called My Day with Xander Raymond Charles. Mick Thomson, Rabea Massaad and Xander Raymond Charles are my idols.
So effing envious man! I'd live to meet this band and especially Jim. He responded to me on social media once and still think it's one of the coolest things ever.
This is special, Xander RC. :) Beautiful! Thank you for sharing! Heart-hand gesture! 🫶 I am thrilled for you, and for these artists to have such good relations with er'body. :) Enjoy your special witnessing of _"Scissors!"_
so awesome xander. been a fan of theirs since about '99 saw them in a smaller venue in south dakota of all places.. and i love seeing what they are doing for their 25th anniversary. All your content with Jim is f'ing dope... that dude is a national treasure. love it. thanks for letting us ride along. & be well++
So awesome that you got to do this. It’s really inspiring seeing people have their dreams come true. I once got to sing with one of my idols, granted on a MUCH smaller scale but either way it’s a memory I’ll treasure til I’m in the ground. Congrats X, you deserve it ❤
I'm so stoked for you bro The first vid of yours I saw was your Jim Root tour rig so you've come full circle and a million miles from where you started And God damned man even with the phone audio you can hear Eloy's snare like a bomb🤘🧐✌️😎
Man, this is so awesome to see how far you’ve come. You deserve all the success that is coming your way. Also, as a longtime Slipknot fan myself, thanks for sharing this footage from their concert!
Sooooo awesome man!!!! Thank you for sharing this. Getting those guitar picks is awesome. I have a Guitar pick that Dimebag threw into the crowd when I saw Pantera in 1995 in Madison, Wisconsin. I have it framed with my ticket stub.
@donniejean no. 🤣 it landed right in front of me and I had like 10 people on top of me trying to get it and I was triumphant and ended up with it. And I was a kid. It was 29 years ago.
12:58 new nightmare unlocked Congrats for all of this, you deserve it. It's wonderful to see such connections between people who share the same passion
I was at this show. 7th row. It was amazing. Love this video. Stoked you got to do all of these special things. That’s awesome. I need one of those picks man.
This episode is really special for me because it was the 2019 episode that attracted me to your channel back when you were STAY METAL nice pivot BTW i’m so happy for your success you continued to grow and become a better you love your style love your vibe love your passion keep rolliN XRC
I couldn’t be more stoked for you to be getting opportunities like this, man. You’re such a positive dude and you’ve been making killer content, grinding it out since I first saw your videos during the pandemic. Won’t be surprised if there’s some dude sitting side stage at your show years from now talking about how cool it is he got invited to be there to see XRC play
I was there, it was my very first concert I’ve went in and man was that the most exciting thing ever going to !! Sick to know that you were there as well, would have been sick if I met you there😁🤙
Four years ago you mentioned scissors to JIm and now you got to hear live in the set. Irony lol good video!! From the beginning to now!! X keep up the hard work!
Caught the show here in Baltimore Maryland on the 9th of August. I really hope they do Iowa in 2026 just like they did with the self titled album anniversary. Seeing them play the entire album live was amazing. I never got to see them during self titled era because something happened and they couldn't make it to a festival I was at. I did see them during Iowa's Pledge of Allegiance tour and then at Ozfest for Subliminal Verses tour. I didn't get to see them during AHIG era but then saw them during Gray Chapter era. Didn't catch the WANYK era.
What an experience! I tour for a living but have never had the opportunity that you have to be side stage for a Slipknot show. I tried recently at Rockville and got the boot! lol They had the police escort there as well, which I thought was pretty wild. Great to know that Jim kept in touch with you after all these years.
That is so fucking cool, dude! Not gonna lie, I’m a little jealous! I would kill to meet Slipknot; Mick in particular. I met the boys in Trivium once, but it definitely wasn’t backstage or anything. They hung out with the VIP folks after a show in Denver in 2009, but it wasn’t nearly as intimate or as detailed. That’s an experience you’ll never forget! Very fucking cool, brother! 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
That’s so awesome… you got some sic footage I saw the middle finger/fist bump video on a RU-vid short today that someone re uploaded. Saw them in Massachusetts Thursday night, such a good show 🤘
@@RKOjoker77 Uhmm Tom hanks lol fuck I dunno I don't watch movies anymore fucking Robert Downey jr I don't fuckin no I haven't watched a movie in like ten years... movies were better in the 90s
What a way to meet one of your hero’s (that’s hilarious!) and what a story and experience! I am so glad you were invited to go have such an amazing time at the personal invite of Jim Root himself. I hope meeting him takes you and your career to some amazing places. You are a hard worker and a super amazing guitarist, and nobody deserves these opportunities more than you. Thanks for sharing this with us! Wild!
Awesome post! I was there in 99 front row side stage when they handed out cassette tape demos. I'm a Hard Rock/Metal Drummer in the Philly area. We should jam sometime
Yo bud! Thats me in this video haha. I saw you walking in right in front of me and wanted to grab your shoulder to say hi but didn’t. Seen your videos for a long time! Thanks for including us!
