When my dog passed away I gathered his things and put them in a box under my bed, top right corner, under where I sleep. I have two other dogs which helped me transition, but he will always be loved. Extra cuddle time with Clay will help.

Mira, we are sisters in grief and I am also on the Decluttering path. I lost my soulmate, Harley a few years ago…I still cry for him (my profile picture), and there was a day when I stood in the middle of my living room and just screamed. Nothing changed but I just had to let the pain out. I have a pup now ..we needed each other…but Harley is still with us. Your doing a great job and I will follow your progress. ❤🐾

PLEASE don't forget to give yourself grace and time to heal, but also give yourself the credit you deserve. It would have been much easier to sink into self pity and grief, but you refused to do that, and that's HUGE. Give yourself the victory. If you've ever watched Hoarders, you know that grief and loss can be huge triggers for hoarding, but you got up and got moving. Grieving a pet can be devastating. I'm glad you've got your Clay. And remember that it's okay not to be okay, so long as you keep that forward momentum. Obviously you needed a break, but you didn't give up, and that's amazing for you. I'm sure that Cupid is looking down on you with pain free puppy smiles and a corn dog in his mouth! 💕

I’m so sorry about Cupid. I lost my senior girl on Friday and can totally relate to how you’re feeling. Grief is the worst but I would prefer it over never having known the love of my girl. I just want to say you have done an amazing job on your house. You should be so proud of your accomplishments! Keep going Mira, Cupid would want you to. In 2020, I lost a dog 18. A cat 18. Then another dog not even 12 years of age. All that happened within 24 days. I was shattered to say the least. Anyone who has loved and been loved by a fur family friend, knows the absolute anguish we go through when we lose them. And grieving is just one of those things you have to go through. It has stages just like you have stages within your decluttering progress. You and Cupid were very lucky to have one another.😢❤

Mira, I’m so sorry for the loss of your beloved Cupid. I had to have my cat put to sleep this July because she stopped eating. She had cancer. I was so depressed after she passed away that I didn’t want to do any decluttering for a few weeks. I didn’t do much of anything , so I got blood clots in my legs. The blood clots moved into both of my lungs, which caused me to have emergency surgery in August. To make matters worse, I got Covid in October. My house had spiraled out of control. Watching your videos has greatly inspired me to take back control of my home a little bit at a time. I’m so grateful that I found your channel when I did. It was perfect timing for me. I enjoy watching your decluttering journey.

Cupid was adorable! we lost our doggie of 17 years last year, it is so hard, they truly are fur babies. The loss of a pet is usually felt harder than even some people because they love us so much the loss is felt greater. Take care of yourself, you are doing a great job!

What a great bunch of viewers you have. My last house was much like yours. I desperately needed help to get through everything. I didn't get the help, but because I was moving cross country, I only had a small bit of space to take my things. I HAD to declutter. Everything I brought fit in a U-box and was shipped to a storage warehouse. I moved in with my dad, and his house was completely hoarded. 1800 square feet of junk. He passed last September, and I moved out and into my first home. It's 80% not cluttered. My two worst areas are my dining room table and my kitchen. It'll be a year in January, and I still have unpacked boxes in my kitchen. And, all my stuff is still in storage. I'm afraid to bring it home for fear having a hoarded house again! I'll get there. You're inspiring me. ❤

Just sending a little love your way. I lost two of my fur babies earlier this year. One from diabetes and one from dementia. I still have a blanket I haven't been able to wash and toys I can't throw away. I'm really proud of you. All changes take time. Take all you need.

I imagine how hard it would have been to cope with the loss of your companion if you hadn't already started this. It would have been overwhelming to face the house when you're depleted by grief. In Cupids last days he saw you taking back your life, I think maybe he knew he could leave you in Clay's company and you will be ok. ❤

My husband cried every day for two years straight after losing his beloved Annabelle. I was so worried for him. Big hugs to you. ♥️

pet loss feels just as strongly as losing people, don't feel bad about being "emotional" . actually scientifically, i heard that we view them as babies (which to be fair pets are all adorable and deserve all the love) which is why we grieve them so strongly. all the love to you for pushing through and putting out this video ❤

The stages of grief are sure...shock, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance...but they don't come in order, they might go back and forth, there is no time guidelines for each stage. We pet parents know the last stages of our relationship will come...but it doesn't make it any easier. My thoughts go out to you. I know that pain so well, yet I am so glad I had those pet angels in my life. We had great times together. I saved my only doggie's collar after she passed...it was in 2000. I have had my other sweet kitties pass and that has all been so sad also. You have so many of us wishing good thoughts and love and healing your way. ❤

Loosing your dog is such sad news. I’m binge watching from the first to the last video. That’s why I’m a bit later with my condolences, but grief doesn’t go away very fast. So I would like to say that I’m so sorry for your loss. But I can tell that your other dog gives you comfort.

And here I am randomly crying over a dog I've never met, but that's what's amazing about our pets, they love so unconditionally that when we lose them we only have beautiful memories of our time together. So very sad for your loss of Cupid. It is obvious he was a very cherished member of your family. I hope you realise that our pets never judge us for how messy our homes are or what we look like or how much money we make, they only want to be with us, looked after and loved. I got tired of hauling the cases of water and the impact they impose on the environment so, I started taking sparkletts water. I highly recommend it. It's about 28.00 per month. I bought the cooler so it decreased my monthly bill. I highly recommend it.

Grief cannot come unless you have been blessed and loved deeply. It comes to all of us. It may help to focus and remember the love and the blessings…Cupid brought you both.

I have been looking forward to seeing your living room, and when you posted this video, I was so excited to watch it; you are an inspiration to me in my own decluttering journey, and I have watched you work so hard--physically and emotionally. What a huge difference. And major kudos to you for tidying the areas by the front and back door. I bet it wasnt too long ago that you either wouldn’t have noticed the clutter or not cared. It only took a bit of time to tidy up which is the benefit of all your hard work. It’s hard to find the energy when we are emotionally exhausted from our grief but “ dishes math” as dana k white says is a thing. If we can spend 10 or 15 minutes on the dishes and 5 minutes throwing out the trash it will help keep our space in order until we can get back in the groove. I found this out from hard experience during an illness. Take care of yourself and Clay. All the best

Oh my goodness, i feel your pain. My family dog died over a year ago and my dog died six months ago. I still dream about her multiple times a week. The vet said i needed to think about euthanising her, because she was ill and that i would be the one that had to make that choice. Her body wasn't going to give up but she was suffering. And that broke me. I cried for multiple days untill i couldn't breathe anymore. She ended up being going within two weeks of that conversation. And even tho it tore me apart, i'm so happy that she didn't have to suffer for a long time. Hindsight is 20/20 and now im shocked that i didn't see it coming. But i got another dog, which helped a lot with the grief. He was in the shelter for over 4 months and nobody dared to take him, bc he had behaverial issues. Turned out he just needed a calm home, and almost 80% of his bad behavior went away instantly. I'm so happy that i got to take him home, even tho is still miss my previous doggo so much. Sorry for the long story, just know you are not alone in this!❤

Mira, I’m sorry that your beautiful boy was so sick. We lost our cat Oliver to kidney disease a couple years ago and it was the biggest heartbreak my partner and I have ever felt in our lives. The only thought that brings me relief is that he’s no longer suffering or in pain. Wherever Cupid is, I’m sure he’s got an endless supply of corn dogs to snack on. Grief is a rollercoaster. You are most definitely not alone. And though no one can truly know what you are feeling, we are all here to support you as you allow yourself to feel it.

I'm so sorry about your sweet dog. I went through kidney disease with my beloved cat, I tried treatment after treatment (2 years of it). I put him down at the beginning of the pandemic. It was horrible. This is my first time on your channel, but I know everyone is here for you, because everyone can understand how much we depend on our sweet pets. I only just started the process of cleaning up my house over the summer, so 3 years for me.

I think he is afraid I will go to. He is 16 and a tough little cross terrier.What an amazing job on the front room. You are definitely an inspiration to us who follow you. Oh please don't apologize about your beloved Cupid. I've lost my sweet baby Luna and then our old dog Jobe within a couple of months. It was terrible. It is such a hard thing to go through when we love them so much. We couldn't wait for another kitten. Our other cat Norman was just as lost so not even a month later we adopted Nellie.
