Great video. Nice to see the different fits and hear some stories behind them. I am also getting into wider fits so this was perfect for some inspiration. Loved the PBJ.
Great variety of fabrics in your collection, that's what I hope to accomplish with mine. Started my selvedge denim journey 3 months ago and have a indigo and black pair.
Great video. Has also reminded me to try and be more mindful in consuming so I can pick up a few more heavy hitters (e.g like those epic century denims).
Fun video ! My least favorite fit wise and look of denim is those our legacy jeans. My first impression is they’re not flattering on you. Great taste in everything else 👍🏽
Nice collection! Building mine as well, slowly but surely. You mentioned not having to wear a suit anymore, what were you doing then and what are you doing now?
I would check your measurement. I wear anything from a 30-34 depending on the brand and Japanese brands love to play around with sizing. I went with a 34 on these but prob could have gone with a 32 witch is my true size
When I was living in Madrid I got to visit the Redcast store, such nice people! My understanding of why Kapital doesn't make their century denim selvedge is because they see it as redundant. If the sashiko works as intended it should take a "century" to break in the denim to the point of it falling apart, hence the nomenclature. That could just be marketing gimmicks at work, but that's the lore in forums.
You might like the Samurai 510 fit. It's a relaxed straight fit with a comfortable rise that's not too high. It comes in a variety of weights but I've got the 15oz and it's great.
I ended up getting the Kapital 5P Cisco N7S last Fall. Such a fun pair. Going to Self Edge in a few weeks. Hopefully I can find some lighter colored denim with Summer here.
You should think about not folding your denim when not wearing them or when putting wears on them. I personally butcher hang all my pairs especially the raw and japanese pairs.
@@JamesHerlihy half fold is okay on pairs your not wearing at all. Them being folded presses down the wrinkles and honey combing and all around shaping you are putting every wear. If you care about fades that is, that’s why your lee riders have that flat almost squared fading at the thigh because they folded them while not wearing them.
