Thank you so much for your kind words. :-) Many of the things you said ring true for me too. I definitely agree that childhood experience can shape who you become as an adult. I was made fun of by my peers too. Skin tone, the way I speak, how I look...I also felt like I didn't have a true friend. Luckily, It got better for me socially. I wish you all the luck and best wishes. Don't forget to SELF care. Do things that make you happy :-) see you somewhere out there too.
Young man, you look and sound like my best childhood guy friend. He had a tough life and ultimately burned his body out with drugs and alcohol. I'm glad that you are able to recognize the crutch that using is. I don't know where you live and wonder about your finding a therapist who you could truly connect with... are you a reader? As open and intelligent as you appear some self therapy might be the way to go... I hope that things improve drastically for you keep writing!
