my designs got stolen 

I didn't get to mention this in the video but I have more thoughts on copyright and the like. I honestly think people should be free to copy and build upon on people's work. that's how creativity has always functioned. I think people are driven to these antics due to one, they need money (capitalism) and 2 lack of talent. but mostly capitalism lol. if we were free to create whatever without the need to worry about food/rent/healthcare i honestly think people won't copy as much and there wouldn't be a need to anyways. idk i'll talk more about that in a future video with well more thought out arguments haha but i wanna mention that.

holy macaroni, i'm no lawyer but i'm almost certain you'd have a small claims court case on your hands. I think he owes you some money for selling your designs. this guys behaviour is a big no no bad bad.

God I remember when this happened and I was just so sad because I don’t think people realize that when they do this they rob themselves of the design community they could have had for a quick buck, because none of the designers I know fuck with thieves haha. These videos have been great, buddy

that dude is just a lazy designer who's trying to make quick cash by creating subpar copies of actual good work, not to mention they even sell posters with trademarked and copy written content without any permissions or license (i assume?) which could get them in all sorts of legal problems you shouldn't have to worry about guys like them though, you're obviously a great and knowledgeable graphic designer, much love

LOL! Once someone stole my profile picture, made me white, and sent me an automated twitter dm to sell me graphics. My community had a good time making dozens of versions of that profile pic. It does suck especially when they're making a ton of money on your effort. That hits hard.

There was a TikTok that kept going viral where two lines would come together and diverge and it would represent like relationships with your parents and siblings and how you get close and drift apart. Well I did a parody of that where it started normal and then transitioned into a story of someone who seems to be stalking the guy in the shark tale costume at Universal Studios Orlando. It didn’t do too much just a few thousand views. One of the commentators on the video who said he “pissed himself laughing” posted the exact same video but changed “guy in shark tale costume” to “guy dressed as a minion” and it has over 3 million views. He gave zero attribution to me it actually just showed up on my fyp and I thought I was going insane.

aren’t the movie posters you mentioned are „etsy core“ also illegal? Because they use pictures out off a movie they haven’t the rights for?

Damn, that sucks - it feels like it always comes down to a lack of respect for the people you are taking "inspiration" from. Also the rip offs really highlight the details that make your designs look so much better by comparison
