Hey y’all! Well you all asked for it, so today I’m doing it! Come with me on a tour of my diecast cars and along the way, we’ll talk about which ones I’ve owned, why I bought them, and what I loved about them!

Many of the listings for the 1:30 Japanese Toyota models here are by ZIPJAPAN, a seller I can highly recommend as I’ve bought a few that I wasn’t able to buy in Japan from them. Also, there may be more (other colors) than what I’ve listed below.

Ahaha! You’d be surprised, I’ve dropped a bunch of them or accidentally rolled them right off of tables and desks so… I’m not precious about them but I also don’t collect to resell or anything so it’s fine. 😂😅 But thank you!!

Loved the tour!! Appreciated the factoids on the Explorer, Highlander, and other more "pedestrian" cars! Had no idea about the Highlander's secret Lexus roots. Also, the blue V60 Polestar you dropped in has a special place in my heart!

I miss the old days of boxier body on frame suvs. Back in the 90s, my parents couldn't afford them and even now they are too cheap to buy one. Luckily toyotas and lexus are plentiful in many years and in fairly good working order. This is great for me as i can now afford to get one.

Hey Josh Great video love the story .. I would probably have as many as you for all the cars I’ve had over the past years lol I only have one Diecast and that’s for my 97 blue Ford Mustang. Thank you! And no I totally understand that! Honestly, if Toyota hadn’t started cheaping out on their interiors, they would be unstoppable. Maintaining the same level of material quality with the new technology would even somewhat justify the higher prices they’re charging too.

Really impressive - you truly are an enthusiast! You even remember what model car began your love for cars as a child, but who could blame you - the Land Cruiser 100/200 series is legendary. I didn’t know that about the ford explorer, I’m curious how the mercury & Lincoln iterations turned out if the explorer was that good. John liking smaller track cars is so ironic, but that does compliment and balance you out so well!

Thank you!! And seriously. If they didn’t hold their value so well (for being such a legend) I’d have one. As for the Mercury Mountaineer, that was actually the one I really would love to have. I loved that last era of Mercury when their cars were luxe but understated. There are still a few mint condition Mountaineers on the roads here and I die when I see them. The Lincoln Aviator was less appealing to me just because that baroque era of Lincoln with plasti-chrome everywhere was a turnoff for me personally. 😂
