Well, if you have a conventional dish (one with 4 ports) you can purchase a Multi-Switch from eBay for about 4-9 dollars. This will allow you to hook up 8 tuners (TVs). I would not recommend a splitter because they do not usually support satellite signals. But, if you have a SWM dish (one single wire) you cal call DirecTV and ask them to install a SWM splitter. Please note that both of these (conventional and SWM) are Slimline HD dishes. Hope this helped! :)
It works great in all weather, the lowest signal that I've ever seen is about 96% which is good. It doesn't snow here but I know people where it does snow that have DirecTV and that never loose signal. Thanks for asking me!! :)
a 771 error means that there's a tuner error. NO signal traveling through the line. The problem could be the outlet the line itself or all the way back to the multi switch Legacy "SYSTEMS" swim module or splitter on a "SWIM" system.
Oh, If one is working and others aren't, it could be the wiring that goes to the dish. Some of the copper on the inside of the coax could have broke causing the signal to stop or something might have come undone outside at the dish. Again I think that I should mention that I am not a pro at this stuff, I am only 15. Hope this helped! -Connor
The service is great....however any satellite (Dish or DirecTV) will go out when heavy wet snow sticks to it or a severe downpour occurs. My experience has been the HD signal on 99 and 103 are even more sensitive than the SD service on 101 satellite,
Well, I am no pro at this stuff but it sounds like your dish had come out of alignment or is not reaching the satellite in space. The wind or poor installation conditions could have done this. Also there might be an obstacle blocking the line of view of your dish. Compare your dish to others that are around and see if yours is pointing in the same direction. If you need help realigning your dish, it is very simple. I might do a video soon on alignment. Also Google can help you. Hope this helped!
