You make it look so easy! People don’t realize that this a common adjustment for most 4 stroke engines. Just a slight valve adjustment makes all the difference especially if you are having hard to start issues.
I did this on my kombi km91R. Lot easier than I expected. I got the same leaf blower as this. I’ll use it during winter storms to see how powerful it is
I have a bunch of Stihl power tools. If you don't start them with their peculiar sequence, you flood the engine and game over. I have a Husqvarna backpack blower, 20 years old, made in Japan, starts on the second pull and I only use it once per year during leaf season. The engine purrs like it was just assembled. What can I say, facts don't lie.
I bought a Echo PB-500 10 years ago because it was the best for my budget. 5 years no problems..6th it needed a carb. Stills works great. Just got a 800x for Xmas. Haven't used it yet but it must have a lot more power than my pb 500. I'm wicked excited for the new Stihl.
That arrow is there for lining up TDC as you noted. It is supposed to point straight up at 12 o'clock when making the adjustments. This video link is a Stihl tec showing how to do it. If you note, he leaves the spark plug in in order to gain compression and hold that arrow up a the top where it needs to be and it eliminates one added step by not having to remove the plug. IHTH ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Ku5fBQzabyg.html In case YT removes this since it is a link, just google the term STIHL Technician BR800 Valve Adjustment
Hey Tony. I just came across your channel while I was searching Stihl backpack blowers. I have a part time mowing business and currently have an Echo hand blower. I find myself going back and forth over sidewalks and driveways numerous times, especially when trying to blow out the sidewalk edges. I am new to the game and one of my co-workers called my blower a "baby blower," and told me to pull the trigger on a backpack blower. Therefore, I am on the fence about buying a backpack blower and my local dealer carries Stihl products. What model Stihl backpack blower would you suggest for general lawn care and a handful of leaf cleanups per year. Thank you and stay safe out there! From Mid-MO, Fezz!
Thats why i dont like them STHIL. For the money not worth it to me. But everyone has different experiences that make or break there opinion... ive been a Husqvarna fanatic for years now.. they start every time eazy to fix. Light weight. But i say to each its own... stile not a fan of STHIL. Lol
@tonyslawncare lol only the non commercial units 🤣. Go buy a 535 lst from lowes I'll wait. Or a 580bts mark 2 blower I'll also wait ✋️. Only the cheap residential ones at lowes bro
Praise Jesus Echo does NOT have valves, timing drive, etc etc and I do not have to deal with all that non-sense. 4 Stroke should be limited to mowers not small stick and blowers. lol
