Fred is a great hunting dog! He loves it and hustles and brings the birds back to you as asked. That’s what hunting dogs do! Great video!

Enjoyed the video from the phone more so then the go pro. Nice and fun seeing the birds work. Dog was thirsty on the one big group of retrieves.

Just something to try. Take about a 3 foot rope put a big knot on the end and step on it and try to set up a “hunt scenario” and make as much “excitement” as possible. And if he breaks or moves any he doesn’t get to retrieve the bumper. They learn pretty quick to be still when they aren’t aloud to retrieve when they move. That’s how I got my pooch to quit breaking. My dog is a meat dog too he ain’t perfect my any means but he gets the job done. Fred is a straight hammer bro.

If your gundog brings you 50 geese, he does exactly what he is needed for. Fred is an awesome dog and you have every rigtig to take pride in him. Most Who run "professional" dogs at hunts, do only that...they don't shoot at the same time( and film for videos for that matter) Great video👍

In videos years ago. You had worked with Fred. We wasn’t breaking nearly as bad. You are right. Most dogs break now and then but, not all the time. You can’t rant and cry all you want about people calling you out on it. Most of the people who say something are more worried about someone shooting your dog than they are worried about you. I’m not sure how you can be on RU-vid this long and still let the comments get to you. Your rants are a waste of time.

Once again what can we say ******* brilliant . Thats what you want in a wildfowling dog, as over water they can escape very quickly.

I'm for real Bobby...get one of those dog harnesses that hold a GoPro camera and mount it on Fred for a dog eye view of a retrieve or two. C'mon, tell me that wouldn't be great content. I wouldn't suggest he wear it all the time, but I guarantee, if my lab Buddy was still alive, I'd certainly giver' a go. Course, there is a chance it might just be a blur seeing how fast Fred scoots out on his retrieve.

Most auto's right where you put the cap on the tube to attach your barrel that ring the tube goes through, there should be, 2 little gas ports that. Help feed your shell ejection unless you have an old slam bolt auto those two little holes gotta be cleaned periodically, now if that don't cure it,then the spring that goes into your stock to help forward your bolt is spring only cure restreach it and hope, or get a new one from the manufacturer. I shot and old 1187 until it started blowing powder into my face. It would plug using shitty rounds that how I found out about shotties not cycling a round. Also the rubber seal ring could be damaged or worn. Notta gunsmith but lucky I know guns and can repare them.

For fred you should just get a gallon of water and cut the top off so he gets plenty of water and easier for him to drink the water

Great shoot for sure. My suggestion is throttle back on the yelling at Fred- send him, let him come back and heel. Your yelling “fetch it up”, “here”, “hold”, “c’mon” is more for you than him. If he can’t do those things without you yelling at him then he needs more training. JMO.
