P.S. I had finished filming this story back in November and was struggling with editing it and trying to make it not a sad video, but rather give it purpose, lessons and most of all value ANYONE can apply to their daily routine to amplify themselves to that next level whether its business or personal.
We'll be back to regular fun videos soon!

Sorry rewatched this over again (months later) and I was all over the place. Wish I went in more detail, maybe in another video sometime if enough people would like that ?! Also let me know if you have questions or just anything in general!

@@ScarletRose I actually have and didn't get a chance to try their Anti-inflammatory medication, but a friend of my vets did for their dogs cancer and said they saw improved comfort (not in pain) and energy.

Good video. Thanks for sharing your story. My Great Pyrenees 8 plus years old and about 105 pounds, was checked out by the vet and the X-Rays reveal an enlarged prostate. I hope to take the best care of him. Hopefully the anti inflammatory medications will be helpful. It's a very difficult time to go through, but I am staying positive and hope to pull through.

I lost my 13.5 years old beagle yesterday due to prostate cancer. He passed on with kidney failure condition induced from the obstruction of urine tract. He was diagnosed in Nov 2021 and we decided not to go for prostectomy due to his age and low success rate. A well care of diet and keen observation on pee behavior is definitely helping to sustain the quality of life. For my case, Donut had experienced difficulties in passing the urine ( due to the enlarged prostate). The NSAID ( anti inflammatory ) helped to reduce the size of bad cell and enabled him to pass urine easier for several months. However, the constant obstruction to the urine tract did caused the acute kidney failure at the end. With this condition, timing to react is in the essence. So, the moment that the dog cannot pass urine at the appropriate usual amount ( e.g lower amount, dropplet rather than the flow style of urine passing), please bring your dog to the vet. Immediate action such as saline injection or stimulation drug for kidney recovery will come a long way in saving the dog’s life.

My dog has prostate cancer, diagnosed at the beginning of this year (noticed blood in the snow when he peed as well). Unfortunately they said there was not much they could do outside of chemo (after paying like $1500+ in tests/diagnosis/medication). I stuck with the anti-inflammatory pills and the cancer didn't progress too bad until now. It seems painful, he doesn't walk, pee, or poop well currently. He is also not eating much and throwing up occasionally. Thanks for sharing your experience, somehow it helps hearing others who went through this.

I'm so sorry your dog was diagnosed no animal should have to experience this ever. You're never alone as corny as it may sound. Its rough and I'm assuming your dog is a "young" older dog like mine was (13y old puggle). When mine started losing more interest in eating/drinking that's when I didn't give up or in, I knew his body needed to stay hydrated and at least eat some food. I would syringe him small amounts of water every hour or so on top of blending some cooked none seasoned chicken breast (cause chicken is easy on the stomach) in water to feed him. I'd do this again with the syringe as it can suck up the chicken blended in water easily. Putting the syringe in one side of the back of his cheek in the mouth so he didn't have to chew just swallow. I only did this in portions through out the day so he wouldn't throw up... unfortunately even then it was a gamble and he'd throw up 75% of the time. For me it was a mental triumph of doing anything I could to not feel hopeless and be there for him till whenever his time was. Was also fighting a ton of internal denial that Rocky and I could kick prostate cancers ass. My thoughts are with you and your doggo to have the at most comfort through this battle.

My dog just got diagnosed yesterday. He's been leaking urine for about a year, and recently he's started vomiting after meals. If you had to do it all over again, would you have him put down? Or fight to the end again? I really don't want him to go through any pain. I'd also like to remember him as a happy dog, not a sick cancer patient. Any thoughts?

Hi. Thanks for sharing your experience. I may be going through the same thing. Question for you - my doctor said my dog has a swollen prostrate - and is treating him for such, but he also mentioned he feels same "jagged" spots. My dog is also leaking urine so bad I had to buy some dog diapers for him. Did you come across this with Rocky?

So Rocky had at times (almost daily in the beginning) when in the morning we'd get up for a walk and he had leaked urine to the point where his under belly coat was damp. Also when he'd be just laying around the house he'd leave little leaking drops of urine around. When this started I didnt get him diapers I just rotated cleaned different blankets and bedding for him to sleep on that would get cleaned/washed - Really did this for the comfortability factor and the fact he wasnt dumping his whole bladder out at once. Eventually this got better as his diet changed and he started on anti-inflammatory meds it became less frequent for him to do so, but it'd still happen maybe twice a week max. I was also lucky enough to take him out a lot for walks and a couple in the middle of the night just so his bladder never was full before resting long.
