I want to see how my dogs react to new things. I'm creating strange new situations to get my dogs reaction....and to see if Pollux and Maxxie will have different reactions or the same. This experiment is going to be fun! Plus I'm letting my dogs review food. Do they think yum or yuck? Let's find out!

They knew you were faking. Your smell didn't change. If u were really crying they'd smell your tears and know your mood changed. You can't fool 200 million scent receptors!

the fly swatter and Pollux's dislike might be from him being in the shelter. Not all employees/volunteers treat them well and enjoy teaching or harming them when no one is looking. Just a thought. I have to say thank you again for adopting ... both of your furbabies are so lucky to be loved so much by their parents. From rags to riches and never will have to look back. Just experiencing the love they get unconditionally is so wonderful for watch. Pollux is a sponge learning all his new surroundings and Maxxie such a good older brother.

Polleux gets startled as soon as he hears some noise and is scared of fast reflexes as he has them too🤣....and maxxie was with you from a very small age..so he feels comfortable with you ..and polleux tries his best to treat you the same like maxxie does...but as he doesnt know how to be a cuddler, as his most time was back there in animal shelter..he is shy..but he tries to greet you.....once try keeping polleux alone in the house ..and you enter the house..maybe he will try to greet you as maxxie does...and maybe he will get use to this greeting behaviour... I love how they are opposite but best brothers...and maxxie is such an awesome big brother...love from india❣️❣️💫

This is adorable! My dog Chloe loves carrots, bananas, watermelon, blueberries and pickles...yes pickles! For some reason she is also afraid of cardboard boxes. She is also a rescue (my house is her fourth house) and it will be the last :)

I thought this was a fun video. Loved Maxxie's reaction when you came home ... so sweet, but he was upset when you cried and when you hugged him he was happy and even growled at Pollux for coming close, but eventually he said, that's enough ... LOL Funny Pollux tried to howl like Maxxie at the ambulance siren ... I loved it all. Love to see the boys with you and at play.

So, I adopted a greyhound today and it's almost 1 am and she was howling in her crate so, like a dumb dog mom, I decide to go downstairs and sleep on the sofa next to her. She stops howling. I decide to watch a little RU-vid, lol, and play your video 😂😂

Reminds me of when both of my fur babies were with me. Winston still is, but his brother Boomer has been gone for several years. When my son was a teen, he said, “Mom, have you noticed that when you come home from work, Boomer has a different bark and dances around?” We called it his oh boy, Mom’s home song and dance. Winston’s always excited when the husband and I return home, but only Boomer had the special song and dance just for me. Winston doesn’t pay any attention if I’m crying, Boomer hated to see me cry and would do everything he could to comfort me. Life is better with a dog and your two sweeties are adorable.

This is such a fun vid. Love their reactions. First time seeing Pollux do the tippy tappies. So cute. The Maxxers is so all over you leaving him. He's telling you all that happens when you're gone. Our dog, Shelby, who looks like Pollux is afraid of the umbrella. As soon as we reach for one, she leaves and stays away until it is gone from her sight. Sometimes, they just develop certain phobias like we do even if it's not from a traumatic experience.

My Chihuahuas are both afraid of flyswatters and I know they have never been disciplined with one. However, they have seen me go bonkers trying to kill flies so I can understand why they might be intimidated.

Put the fly swatter away. My pound dog did the same because they have been hit with a fly swatter. If he only responds to a man then a man whipped him My dog was abused by a female. It wasnt easy getting him to trust me but he loved me so much. I never spanked him, i had the flyswatter out to kill a fly. I put it up. He was only 5 lb chi. Who could hurt him.

My parents' last dog, a Shepherd mix, LOVED carrots. She learned to recognize the sound of the vegetable peeler, and when my mom stood at the sink prepping carrots, there was Star at her feet, waiting expectantly for her treat!

Pollux mimicked Maxxie when he howled but he couldn't keep the same energy. Ended up looking like he actually helped calm Maxxie down like "dude chill". Also, I hope Pollux isn't triggered by the fly swatter because of some past experience in the shelter, was that a discipline tactic used.... alot of shelter dogs have trust issues with men for that reason unfortunately.

I read your comments and everybody is talking about polleux past as he barks when he sees fly swatter....I dont think its about past...polleux is a noise-phobic dog,who gets scared of small kinky or crippy voices like doors squeaky sound or some toys squizzing voice or fans voice or someone using fly swatter ...its normal...nothing to freak out ...

This is so cute! I trained my dog with carrots and peppers. He loved the vegetables. He never had the dog treats. He loved carrots and I would by the baby carrots for him. I used to cook him a sweet potato for dinner and give that to him with dinner. He used to jump and pull the apples off my tree and eat them.

@@WelcomeToMyCurls You're welcome with two dogs you can cook one sweet potato and split it. For fast cooking just prick it and put it in the microwave 6-10 minutes depending on the size of the potato. It is supposed to make their coats shiny and healthy!

You're such a genuine, sweet, fun gal, it's no wonder everyone loves you so much - you make it so darn easy. The reaction to the crying was hilarious! Maxxie, ever the distinguished gentleman was like "Oh dear, you *must* get yourself together Renee. We can't have any of this ugly crying - it's ever so unnecessary." Pollux is like "No, no, no, no, no, no, what do I do, what do I do, you're scaring me, k I'm outta here!" The reactions you captured were priceless.

It would be interesting to see what they do if you or someone in your home was really crying. I know they can tell the difference. When my grandsons get hurt or are feeling down they can be assured of comfort from our dog. In fact, we had a mastiff (who has since passed away) who would come running to check on the boys when they got hurt. Our current dog is the same way. They just know! You can't fool them! Either way, it was a fun video and made me laugh... especially the howling!

I WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED IF pollux had been hit by someone in his past using a fly swatter. HE HASN'T HAD THE PAMPURED LIFE OF maxxie. THEY ARE BOTH SWEET DOGS -- AND FUNNY!! i once walked a friend's black lab on a regular basis. One time, when I stayed over their house, FRERE WOULDN'T COME DOWN THE STAIRS. tHERE WAS A CAN OF "bAG bALM." hE DIDN'T LIKE GETTING HIS EARS WIPED WITH THAT STUFF. hE RECOGNIZED THE CONTAINER AND WOULDN'T GO NEAR IT. mY GIRLFRIEND COULDN'T UNDERSTAND WHY HE WASN'T COMING DOWN THE STAIRS. bUT i KNEW. hE WAS A SMART DOG, WITH SOME FUNNY ATTITUDES, EVEN WITH HIS BOOMING BARKS. i'VE NEVER OWNED A DOG (s), CATS ARE LESS COMPLICATED FOR ME, LOL.

It looks to me that Pollux doesn’t like loud noises.... re you crying. I don’t think it has anything to do w/ him not caring. My opinion. 😉 Gidget would of eaten every item on the plate. Gidget LOVES just ab everything. One of my cats that doesn’t eat can food comes running when I open a bag of chips of any kind. He loves to lick them. 😎 Pollux may have been hit by a flyswatter. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Hi Rene (I hope I spelled your name correctly), I'm a new subscriber to your channel, although I've watched several of your videos in the past few months. This was such a cute video, I love the attention you give to your dogs, so sweet to watch! However, I had to stop the video to write you when you offered little pieces of lime to them, because I've read that any type of citrus fruit is a definite no- no for dogs. Whenever I'm not absolutely certain on food safety for dogs, I just Google it, there's a whole list of foods that are considered toxic these days. You might want to check it out. Well, I do enjoy your videos, I find you to be quite entertaining, informative & sweet!😊

Pollux was interested and concerned when you were crying. BUT, when you started flailing your arms around it scared him off. It probably had something to do with his experiences at the shelter. :( Hopefully he will get over his fear of sudden movements once he's been with you longer.

At the end of the howling session Pollux looks at Maxxie like, OK are we done now? Should I stop howling or do we go on a while longer? So funny!!! Btw, not liking the fly swatter may remind Pollux of a bad experience in the shelter, something that scared him before.

My little rat terrier could hive a hoot if I cry. My boxer mix will always try to console me. Both dogs are peanut butter junkies. That’s how I give them any pills they have to take. Never have to fight , just slap it in a little peanut butter and it’s a goner. The rattie is 16 1/2 , mostly blind and has the I’m old I’ll do darned well what I please attitude. He is highly allergic to grains so absolutely cannot have anything with grains in it. He can be snoring away and if we get the peanut butter pretzels out the nose starts wiggling and up he comes looking the peanut butter. We break them open and let him have the peanut butter from inside a few, but non of the pretzel.

Dogs know your emotions so what you did was presented them with a conflict....a happy spirit and loud noises. If you were sad and even quite they would come to comfort you.

So easy and fun. Dip a spoon of peanut butter...then get their attention. Take each finger..like a peace sign put peanut butter on each finger they will come and eat together. I do this every morning. These are my roommate s dogs. They soon learn to share and be close.

Pollux is still in the puppy faze. Max is much older so he just in chill mode. Peanut butter made my daughters dog hyper & my 29 year old old hyper when she was little. Love your channel
