I played azir support the other day and honestly it went pretty well, not my best off-meta support pick but not as bad as garen went.

if u go ingenious u stack spellthiefs faster. i was experimenting this rune a lot on tear, banshees, ludens during season ten or whenever the rune got changed. xpetu did it not so long ago on heartsteel

I honestly feel like azir was always meant to play support. His abilities make him great at zoning enemy players, preventing enemy sieging and disengaging bad team fights. Never understood why he got pigeonholed into the mid lane role, he doesn't have the burst damage you would expect from a typical midlaner.
