Just came across your video. Same thing happened to me. Plenty of thieves out there. I filed criminal charges because nobody could do work that bad unless it's intentional, and that's criminal.
I live in Virginia also, and I have had people do the same thing to vehicles that I own. One guy in Amherst if my car for over a year, charge me a couple of thousand dollars for stuff that he didn't even do. Worked on the engine, I said he did head gaskets for it, I trusted the guy I never checked behind him until the engine start messing up again. I had car going over by another mechanic and that's when I discovered the other guy had not done anything that I paid him for. It's sad that people run businesses this way, what goes around comes around. They will get it back. I'm sorry for your loss. That is heartbreaking. I love the old Ford truck

Man in Texas to get a good paint job you need to pay at least 10k if you paid 3 in Texas you would get probably about the same thing so maybe you should just up the budget sorry for the truth but just being honest 3K doesn't get you nowhere here!! Check out my white truck 3K just to get five spots fixed!! But don't get discouraged man I know how you feel people just don't take pride in their work anymore. I've had so many projects go south because other people's work I just started learning how to do everything myself I know time is a factor that's why it takes me so long to put up new videos of my truck. But love the truck keep the videos coming I hope it all turns out well for you.

BRO, MY SYMPATHY TO YOU, I WENT THRU A SIMULAR SITUATION WITH SUPPOSEDLY A PAINT AND BODY SHOP, MY TRUCK SAT THERE FOR 8 MONTH IT WAS STRIPPED DOWN AND BATTERY WAS STOLEN UNTIL I GOT TIRED OF WAITING FOR IT, SO TOOK A POLICE OFFICER TO RETRIEVE MY TRUCK AND I GAVE THEM 1100 DOLLARS AS A DOWN PAYMENT WHICH I NEVER GOT BACK, I WAS TOLD I COULD TAKE THEM TO COURT BUT THERE WAS GUARANTEE I COULD GET MY MONEY BACK.
3K is not much for body work we all know that but probably the body shop promised full body work and paint for that price just to get the money and im sure is not the first time the body shop do this.

You know? I was with this guy on the fact that these people screwed him over, but after I saw that trim in the scrap box it didn’t make me happy. I’m just a kid trying to take the summer to restore my 79 f150. I would’ve gladly given him $150 for that trim compared to the $25 he’s gonna get in scrap
I painted and did body work on my dad's 68 mustang in autoshop class and did a better job then the guy he paid like 7,000 to for paint and body he got wat you got pretty much and I remember asking him if I could take it to school and paint and do body on it since the motor was rebuilt and he said sure I couldn't eff it up anymore then the guy did so I painted it and did the body work took till the end of the school year but I drove it home and told him to come look he loved it I felt so happy he was jumping for joy and he won 1st in a Local car show and 3rd in a outta state show
I think he might owe you some money back, but I definitely think you're exaggerating about the work you did on that truck. And if he "didn't have lights" in his shop, you should have chosen the shop more wisely than you did.
You should've looked it over prior to paying! That's PARTIAL your fault! There's NO WAY IN THE WORLD, I would have NOT looked it completely over, and I'm a female! If you want a "SHOW TRUCK" be prepared to buy new Fender and expect to be paying anywhere from $7k for decent work up to $15k for "SHOW TRUCK" work It's not the end of the world at least you have a base to start off with fix the dents left on it sand it down, block it, replace the rusted parts take the bed off, take the glass off then find a reputable shop to redo and repaint it end of story
I would have to agree for 3k it looks ok. If you are looking for show quality 15k to start and be ready to go to 30 plus Sorry you were unhappy and hope you can get some money minus materials back

what you should do is ask for you money back plus the cost to undo the worK he screwed up on and if he don’t pay park your truck out the front of his shop with a sign on it stating what he has done to it and if that don’t work just kick the shit out out him
yea i have a 69 f 100 that's why i do all the work myself. i even learned how to paint and weld from you tube. i think i can rustolleum roll on a paint job that looks better than that.
dude seriously that's a shit flat black paint job my 1976 got restored I paid 850$ for my paint job engine bay and all 100% professional and that was candy Cobalt blue!!! that's why ya get buddy buddy with your paint guy but looks nice
