I deeply love MDB since 28 years. For me - there's hardly any other bands that are capable of creating this kind of atmosphere. I'll never forget the concert in Cologne back in the 90s, Cry of Mankind tour. It was the day, my beloved grandma was buried, and in the evening I stood crying in the crowd listening to the most appropriate sound for such a day. Well done, guys, this song is amazing! I hope to hear another 20 years new music from you. And please visit the Rock Hard Festival in Germany this year.
21 years ago, "For You" was also our wedding song. Of course, the irony of a band called My Dying Bride being played at a wedding was not lost on anyone....
Lyrics: CTM!! From my deep silence They feed the fire Building a gift from This broken liar Forsaking your face My fingers blind I touch the lonely face Of your crime The doom of your Your broken shore It washes over me Hair woven of the sea You sleeping boat drifts Away from me A broken sister Now out to sea I have lived through The depths of time I spilt the blood and She was the crime The doom of your Your broken shore It washes over me Hair woven of the sun And the sea..② The doom of your Your broken shore It washes over me Hair woven of the sun And the sea..② Stolen from A dead man’s heart Remember me sad I was your art The voice of my Blood orates Touched by the sacred Horrors of the hour The doom of your Your broken shore It washes over me Hair woven of the sun And the sea…
@@Harjawaldar "When I write the lyrics and create the artwork, I only do those things when I am particularly depressed, so what you get is quite genuine. You get a guy who is really pulling at the heartstrings here because he's low, so you're really getting the genuine article. It's very therapeutic, though, because once I create the artwork or the lyrics, then I've allowed the negative thoughts inside me to be released and I've kind of unleashed them on to My Dying Bride. I've got somewhere to put my depression and it's called My Dying Bride." www.metal-rules.com/interviews/MDB-May2004.htm
Beautiful, heavy and balanced. That bog water is actually chocolate milk, because it's Aaron's favorite drink. They're having the rest bottled and it will be for sale soon. MDB's Chocolate bog water milk. You heard it here first folks!
LMAO!!! This should be top post. Everyone who wants the Chocolate bog flavored water milk will want to place the advanmced orders asap. I have already sent my credit card number via email, text, and DM on twitter to MDB. Order today
There must be something in the Halifax air. How unlikely is it that a smallish town breeds two genre defining bands of awesomeness? Thanks for My Dying Bride and Paradise Lost, Halifax!
Remembering the first time when I heard Aaron's "Good evening, Eindhoven. We are from England. We are MY DYING BRIDE!!!!" My world has changed forever. Doom metal as it is!
I once had seen MDB during WGT-leipzig @ the Parkbuhne, he spent the entire show on his knees, that's fucking DOOM!!! Never in my life I had a band that mesmerized me more than MDB! Although people asking me if I'm not getting depressed from listening to their music I only can say no band makes me more happy ...
I remember when Within Temptation started out as a Theatre of Tragedy like, soprano+deathgrowl, Beauty&theBeast, kinda band, and after the gloomy, melodramatic growling and high-soaring "Enter", a young Sharon gleefully, in regular voice, blurted out "Eindhoven! Jullie waren godverdomme te gek!" Lol that sh!t jarred my psyche.
I love how sad this masterpiece is. Especially when folds his hand into his face. Amazing how he times the the chorus with singing and grunting..pure magic
All locals know the creature known as Aaron of the bog. Although to this day he has been found to be harmless, many fear the superstition, and children dare not venture the marsh at night.
Absolute doom brilliance! Aaron's performance sends shivers down my spine. Lena looks gorgeous with long hair. Ade contributed with drone footage, it's good to know he's still around MDB, hope he's doing well.
The day I saw this released I nearly had a heart attack. I cannot believe I finally am loving MDB song after so many years. I dont even know why I stopped listening. I am so fucking hyped just by this song! Its so fucking good! I have always loved Aaron's clean vocals. And they were a huge standout for me this time!
One of the most important and wonderful moments in my life was 20 years ago when my friend gave me Like Gods of the Sun. That album changed my life, changed how I wrote music and introduced me to one of my lifelong favorite bands. This album is going to be my 2020 album of the year.
@@atmangoth Towards the end around 6:15 . Not exactly like WoY, David Gold had a lower voice and probably was the more versatile and technical vocalist, but I'm talking about having several clean and growl vocals layered together.
Breath taking, painful and soul awakening. Moves your whole inner being to feel the pain Aaron felt with his daughter’s prior ailment. May 2020 shine bright on the legendary vocalist and band!
After hearing about what poor Aaron Stainthorpe went through last year, I found it incredibly hard to look into his eyes during this video. Brilliant stuff, but it got me properly choked up. Great music and all the best to them.
Well, it's been worth the wait and they sound just as majestic as ever. One of my all time top favourite Metal bands delivering once again. March couldn't get here soon enough.
Reading this comment two years later is pretty funny. The last part of that comment didn't age well. We all know what ended up happening in March 2020 😂
I 'm thirty years old and fifteen of them I 'm in love with my dying bride. The paradox is that I began to listen to your gloomy drama in solar, hot and positive Uzbekistan 😀 Now I live in cold and not positive Moscow and you warm my soul! ❤️ Very much I wait for the visit of you!
I can't see why some people are already accusing them of sellouts because of the NB thing... an 8 min long song with growls on the chorus (from an Aaron dipped in mud), is far from my idea of a sellout 😆😆😆 Absolutely amazing !!!! (and this comes from a fan since the "As the flower withers" era!)
In 90s my highschool friend missed classes to listen My Dying Bride at home loudly on his taperecorder while his parents were at work. I never understand him. Now I do...
My Dying Bride, the band that never disappointed me all these years!! I am looking forward to take in my hands one more great masterpiece album from My Dying Bride!! P.S. ...I'm happy also, because I read that Aaron's five-year-old daughter has overcome her health problem!👍
Damn.. and if I thought this song was amazing to hear, you go and throw some amazing visuals and pour the emotion from within. Love everything about this upcoming album this far. Can not wait for more and please grace the PNW with a tour.
