DyslexicAdvanta... Dyslexic Advantage visits with #1 Amazon Bestselling Mystery Thriller Writer Simon Wood Help us caption & translate this video! amara.org/v/HoTG/
Anyone know where to find advice on the practicality of being a dyslexic writer, at what point to get it 'translated' in lexic English, copeing with reading to writer groups, politely explaining to fellow aspiring writers your not able to read there whole novel in a reasonable time etc.
I'm a screenwriter and I use Text-to-Speech software to read aloud screenplays shared for reading before our writers group meetings. On my Mac I use a program called Text2Speech and on my PC I use a program called Balabolka. As far as writing goes, I would suggest Dragon dictation software. It's come a long way in the past few years, so much so that professional authors are using it to speed up their writing. In addition to that, I would get Grammarly to spell and grammar check. Both of the Text-to-Speech softwares are free. Dragon is expensive, but worth it if you're writing a lot. Grammarly cost around $100 a year but you can get a browser extension for the major ones like Chrome, Firefox, Safari... for free that does 90% of the paid version.
