Semien and Jung should start. And Heim, García, Seager (even though he missed a month), Taveras, Lowe, and Duran have a good chance to make it. That’s 8 legitimate All Star caliber players and that’s not even mentioning the pitching. Really heartbreaking news about deGrom but Texas is for real this year.

I am just going to list the NL bench players who missed by a smidge: 1B- Olson (no bias, just pure stats); 2B- Ketel; 3B- McMahon; SS- McClain (MAYBE Arcia); C- Diaz; OF- Bryan Reynolds. I will make another comment for AL later.

Leaving Trout off of the ballot is crazy. His "slump" is just because his launch angle has dropped 6° so he isn't slugging quite as much. His Savant page is still crazy red everywhere, his power hasn't dipped, just getting unlucky

Really cool to see my Dbacks doing really good, one player you didn’t talk about much is Gabi Moreno. I know Murphy is much better and he is the one that deserves to be in the all-star game, but Gabi is out of his mind throwing out base stealers, even hitting pretty good this season. One of the better catchers the Dbacks have had in a long time
