14 Juli t/m 27 Juli ben ik met de organisatie EF naar Miami Beach geweest. Hier heb ik een talencursus gevolgd voor 2 weken. Ik ging samen met Amber en Anne en wij deden de algemene cursus. Deze twee weken waren echt geweldig, ik heb zo veel leuke dingen gedaan en leuke mensen ontmoet. Ik heb er nieuwe vrienden en nieuwe ervaringen aan overgehouden. Het EF team daar was ook echt top! Ik hoop dat ik dit snel nog een keer kan doen, want ik mis alles nu al :(

I went to Miami Beach with the organisation EF from July 14th until
July 27th. I followed a language course for two weeks here. I went with Amber and Anne and we did the general course. These two weeks were amazing, I did so much fun things and met great people. I made a lot of new friends and experiences. The EF team there was also great! I hope I can do this again soon, because I already miss everything :(

i want to go to Miami or Hawaii next summer (2022) and I really enjoyed your video! did you have to pay the flight by yourself?

Besides classes, yes! You are allowed to miss a very small percentage of the classes but I don't recommend skipping classes.. I never did! There's also a curfew if you're under 18 but that's around 11 pm so no need to worry about that. I was 15 year old when I was in Miami!

Sorry super late reactie! Maar feestjes toen niet echt, wij waren 15/16 jaar en toen hadden we een curfew van 23:00/00:00. Daarnaast mag je daar meestal ook pas clubs in vanaf 21 enzo. Vanaf 18 jaar heb je geen curfew en kun je dus veel meer. Wel hebben wij het gewoon heel gezellig gehad op de campus in de avonden, je hoeft bij die curfew nog niet te slapen ofzo, alleen binnen het gebouw zijn.

Do they only learn English over there??

Yes in Miami it’s only English. EF does have other locations where they teach other languages though! Usually they teach the language that’s spoken in the country you go to!

@@amytrouwborst5519 Wij vlogen eerst naar Frankfurt wat volgens mij een klein uurtje was, en van Frankfurt naar Miami was het geloof ik nog zo'n 9 uur maar dit kan heel erg liggen aan of je wind mee of tegen hebt de dag. Tuurlijk was er wel een klein beetje turbulentie, zoals bijna altijd, maar niks heftigs!

No problem! I did the general course and it was great, I had around 3 hours of class a day so I had plenty of free time. And before you go you make a test to see on which level you are, you'll be placed in a class of your own level. I did C2.2 and it was good!

Heb je ook echt iets geleerd in die twee weken? Of moet je dan langer gaan?

Als je écht naar een hoger niveau wil gaan met je Engels zou ik aanraden om langer te gaan. Ik heb zeker wel wat geleerd in deze twee weken maar vooral het makkelijker leren spreken in het Engels. Mijn niveau was al redelijk hoog dus qua grammatica enzo ben ik niet súperveel verbeterd maar daar kwam ik ook niet persé voor! :)

Gaan er veel mensen in hun eentje, of allemaal met een vriendin? Ik wil graag in mn eentje gaan maar ben bang dat ik geen vrienden maak.... :(

Bijna iedereen komt in zijn eentje! Ik was niet alleen gekomen, maar zat wel zonder mijn vriendinnen in de klas. Dus ik dacht ook dat ik geen vrienden zou maken, maar dit ging echt heel makkelijk! Heb er hele leuke vrienden aan over gehouden :)

hi can I ask you how was the weather in Miami in summer?? and where did you stay in Clifton or international house? because I would like to go with ef to Miami but I want to know something more :)

Hi! The weather in summer is very hot, it's around 30 degrees celcius everyday but there usually is rain later in the afternoon. I stayed at the campus, but it's also an option to stay at the residence (that's a small 5-minute walk to the campus). I liked staying at the campus because everything is in that building, the classrooms, cafeteria, 'dorms'. And the campus was just a really nice and fun building!

How clean were the rooms ? I only saw negative experiences with that.

When we arrived, they were very clean. Of course you need to keep them clean while you live there but they get cleaned I believe once a week but I’m not sure! I didn’t have any negative experiences with the hygiene of the rooms!

@@misae_2411 I went there in July 2019, I don’t exactly remember how much I payed for that, you can visit www.ef.com to see the exact prices per week for every destination. Yes there were others around my age, I was 15 then and the ages were between 15 and 25 I think!
