I love love 5th ave. Its happy and fresh and sophisticated at the same time. I can wear it for work every day on spring and summer if i didnt have other perfumes i llike to wear too.
I did not know that Fantasy was from the Elizabeth Arden house! I love Fantasy :) I like to layer with it, it adds a lot of just yummy to other fragrances. You have some really interesting Green Tea's too - I had a sample of the Spiced Green Tea once and I liked it a lot, but the Iced with the eucalyptus and spearmint sounds really interesting and worth keeping an eye out when cruising antiques malls and stuff. I've never tried Blue Grass, but I'm going to keep my eyes out for that one too. The one EA line that I really like a lot is the Untold line - they are so nice, I have all of them I think. Thanks for another really great video, I love these :)
Have Blue Grass and the Blue Grass Cream Deodorant which is nice when wearing the perfume. Might have to give 5th avenue a try! Ty :) Love Lonesome Dove I think I dropped that comment to you, in another video...its a fun read though :)
Lonesome Dove! Yes, it is outstanding. I need to re-read it, it’s been over thirty years at least. Love your appreciation of quality, reasonably priced frags. Of the ones you’ve shown here, the original Green Tea and Mediterranean are my faves.
I’m an EA fan from back in the Red Door days. It was my first department store perfume and I bought it when I got my first “real job”. I thought it smelled like money, lol. I’m surprised you don’t have White Tea, I think it is beautiful. I also like Fifth Avenue. Green Tea used to be my everyday scent, very refreshing. I had True Love and I remember it was very pretty but I declutterred it because I just ran out of space. I’m glad to see you enjoy the old school perfumes too. ❤️
When I first started exploring fragrance I tried to find out what I really like in a perfume. Elizabeth Arden was a brand I could purchase inexpensively and I found some that are very lovely. I have Arden Beauty, True Love, Splendor, Blue Grass, a couple of Green teas and Always Red.
I just discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying it. I love that you take the time to research the perfumes you mention in your videos. I also like you talk about all kind of perfumes and not just all the trendy, niche ones (like other reviewers). Love Elizabeth Arden perfumes. I wore 5th ave. in the 90's and own the current version which I find a bit different than the original. It's softer, it gives a similar vibe but it's not the same. Still like it though. I also own Green Tea and White Tea (both favorites).
I have a bunch of Britney Spears scents, and I'm in my early 40s. You would like the Fantasy Intense version because it has patchouli and less kiwi. Also, I love Red Door.
I have also wished for a perfume meet-up like you. And paper crafting ones too. I am into junk journals. They are all about upcycling old paper and anything paper related and vintage.. it's a rabbit hole that has opened my world and youtube is amazing for that. I'm grateful for your videos.
I've read that Blue Grass is like Je Reviens but with lavender. So curious about these older perfumes... Alot of what I seem to enjoy came out in the 70's & early 80's. I love aldyhedic fragrances. Never got to experience many different scents except for Avon because I grew up rural, in a mountain town...
I really like and somehow collect Elizabeth Arden scents. I love Mediterrainen and 5th Anenue the flanker in the black bottle. For Spring and summer nearly all Green Tea scents are easy and plasent to wear. Blue Gras is old school but none the less still nice and I wear it occasionally. In Europe it is difficult to get old versions of the EA perfumes. I like your videos very much, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
I love it when I see Blue Grass getting more attention. While I know many consider it a dated fragrance, I think it’s truly an underrated gem. I’ve gone through quite a few bottles - it was even my signature scent at one time. It was my grandmother’s signature scent, so it holds a special place in my heart 🩷
Yeah! I bought Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean, blind by on fragrance net a couple years ago. I was drawn in by the beautiful blue color. When I got it home, I opened it up. I sprayed it, and I immediately threw it in the trash. It just was such a sickening smell to me I don’t know what it is in there. Fast forward to a few months ago I bought Kim Kardashian honey at TJ Maxx. It looks so beautiful and sounded like it would be a really pretty perfume. I opened it up I sprayed it was immediately turned and thought of that Mediterranean perfume so I agree they are pretty much the same thing. Of course I don’t wanna throw this away I will Declutter it somehow probably give it to my neighbor or something lol
After watching this video I’m going to wear Elizabeth Arden 5th ave NYC that I got at Marshals for 14.99 and 5th ave lotion I got on clearance for 4.00 dollars .
Blue Grass... like root beer.. and candy liquorice with sugary coating... Not when I tried it. This is old school vintage, dry, aldehydic, in the vein of Van clean first, Chanel 5...
