Let's take a look at my Elvis Presley collection that has a unique connection to Sun Studio 👀 𝐓𝐢𝐩 𝐉𝐚𝐫 Venmo: @itsashley423 CashApp: @ashleysadventures1 #Elvis #ElvisPresley #ElvisMemorabilia
Ashley you are the best! It’s nice to see a young lady like you into Elvis! I have 3 stepchildren who are all around your age and unfortunately they don’t understand the greatness of the king. I wish I knew you personally! You are a true Elvis fan like me and you really put in the time and effort in your videos. Because of people like you, his legacy will always live! The world needs more people like you, Spa guy and Trey!
I appreciate that and happy you enjoy my videos, Paul! As for the others you mentioned - the nicest thing I can say is I’m not associated with them in any way, shape or form. Thanks for watching
Having been in sun studio and later finding out it had been converted to some kind of auto shop and then restored to how it used to be when Elvis recorded was a bit of a disappointment, knowing it wasn't original stuff, but they did such a great job with it, it was still a great experience, it didn't feel like a recreated atmosphere, I truly believed at the time it was all original. AND I got to record a song there myself :) That tile you have for me was the best part of this video, it's something straight out of the 50's, right out of that era when Elvis got his start. So Amazing! If that tile could only talk lol
I have heaps of books on Elvis. They are absolutely beautiful I treasure it like gold.Have been to beautiful Graceland & Sun Studios. I Live in Australia & visited the USA in 2014 & 2018 with my hubby. Absolutely Loved it. Hopefully, will visit again. ♥️🙏🏽⚡️🧸🌻😊
I have personal guitar picks, cigars still in the wrappers with Mr. E. A Presley printed on the cellophane from the Denver Hilton Hotel when he was last there in April of 1976….Scarves, Autographs, 150 tickets stubs and unused tickets to his concerts and many other pieces. That SUN tile is very cool!!!!!!
Omg Ashley! That tile! I almost fell out of my chair when I saw you take that out of the box! Real history! Elvis himself would be impressed! TCB AND God bless! Your COLLECTION IS AWESOME!
I collect “ ANYTHING” and “EVERYTHING” pertaining to Elvis! If it’s about Elvis, and I can afford it, I WANT IT!! Always have my eyes wide open 😳 🧐 👀 looking! Can’t wait to see your collection. Bet you have your magnifying glasses 🤓 🕵️ on like you do when you go to Graceland! 🤗
What a great video, Ashley!😊 Thank you for showing us your collection! The nicest pieces are always the ones that come with a special memory.❤ I hope that you got to meet Jimmy Velvet someday!👍
Like seeing your collection Ashley. The acoustic tile is my favorite - imagine what it has heard, songs, laughter, conversation, music. Gives me chills. Thanks for sharing with us! 🌸
A friend of mine owns many pieces of memorabilia that used to belong to Elvis. Jewelry, badges, glasses, etc. He acquired a lot of things from his friends that were part of the Memphis Mafia. I had the opportunity to try on Elvis' American Eagle costume belt that he wore in the satellite broadcast from Hawaii. It was beautiful and a rather heavy. I also got to try on a couple of his rings. It was so hard to hand them back to my friend. LOL. I do have a TLC with a diamond encrusted lightning bolt that belonged to one of the wives or girlfriends from way back. I do have a Elvis in Concert jacket. The jacket is a replica but the patches are the real deal. It's red wool type material, black leather sleeves, the TCB logo on one of the sleeves with the "Elvis in Concert" on the lower front area. It's probably best described as a crew jacket or baseball style and lined in a black tuck and roll type material. I look forward to seeing your collection. I love anything Elvis. :)
Very cool. I can imagine how small that belt was, 28 maybe? He was on a 500 calorie diet for weeks before that show to get that thin, if the MM guys are correct anyway. How fortunate to have some great things.
I wasn’t following your channel when this video came out in 2021. I’m excited to see it in 2024 because of the special treasures you have accumulated. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic video🙌🏽🙌🏽 ur collection is all dat and some😭😭 the 56 pin is awesome, all the 56 memorabilia is sought after, and if only that tile could talk🥺 maybe I’ll start collecting one of these days😉
Thanks a lot, Travis! I always thought I don’t want anything if it isn’t a real Elvis owned item but I didn’t even realize there was a nice little pile of stuff here. I had to reread your last sentence, you jokester! ⚡️
Giiirrrrlll! You’ve been holding out on us! What treasures you’ve kept tucked secretly away! 😳 I LOVE THEM ALL!! That is a gum ball like another commenter said. I have one too and a leaf from Graceland ( no rocks though, dang it). LOL. What is it they say? Great minds think alike? HaHa! Only thing different is, I was a lot older than you when I collected mine. Before they opened the house, could just walk up to Meditation Gardens. I also have a little music box that plays “LOVE ME TENDER” but mine is in a little wooden box, but looks the same as yours inside. Have a 78 Sun Label vinyl record of “ Good Rockin’ Tonight”. That’s my treasure!! 🤩 Love the ‘56 pin too. But giirrrrlll, when it comes to that tile, 😱. OMG, be still my heart!! 💓 I just get the QUIVERS !! I want to touch it, hold it, listen to it and yes, ( asbestosis or not), smell it too!! Wish I had a friend of a friend that went dumpster diving. Too bad he didn’t realize what he was getting and got them ALL!! I sure would like to have one! 😢 Love ALL your treasures!! Enjoy them!! Oh and I’m SOOOOO jealous!! 😩 Just kidding! Happy for you! TCB ⚡️🕺👑. Later girl!!
Aww you have awesome treasures! Definitely - great minds do think alike! LOL asbestos be damned, the tile must be listened to and sniffed 😂 Thank you for tuning into my collection, Linda!
@@ashleysadventures ~ Yaayyyy! Asbestos be damned is right girl!! You sniff that tile! 💪 Stay strong and keep getting on with “ Your bad self”. LOL. TCB ⚡️🕺👑
Woooooooow, Ms.Ashley! Cool collection and I flipped my wig when you busted out the Sun Records studio tile. That is so, so, soooooo incredibly *awesome!!!* I very much enjoy your enthusiasm for all things ELVIS and of course your videos! Thank you and God bless you and yours!!! 🙏❤🧸🥰 👑 ✨️ *T⚡️C⚡️B* ✨️ 👑
@@ashleysadventures You're most welcome, dear and I want you to know your videos have made my day and night. I really love when, as I heard you put it before, you "geek out" on the details. That's one of the many reasons your channel and of course you are so awesome! I give you my heart felt gratitude, ma'am. Bless your little pea-picker! 🥹🥰
This has to be the cutest comment ever! Thank you for making me smile! Yayyy love that you like to geek out as well. I really appreciate your support Surya! ❤️
Great collection only really collect Elvis cds books and magazines got around 300 cds and hundreds of magazines like Elvis monthlies and Elvis the man and his music which is a brilliant magazine. Thanks for this Brilliant video
Nice collection Ashley. I understand completely about calming up when you are around people that knew Elvis. I had the privilege of singing and recording with Sherrill Shaun Nielsen back in 2009. (Mike, Sean, Sherrill, Brenda and myself) all recorded together on his last album before Sherrill sadly passed away. I look back now and wished I had taken the time to sit down with Sherrill and ask him about his time with Elvis. We were so involved with music and recording that all of our conversations we more about how to make the songs better or the vocals need a tweaking. I am thankful that I had the time with Sherrill, and I have the songs and a few pictures that we took as a reminder. I have learned to cherish the moments while you can, because the moments will come and go. Keep up the great work on your videos! I enjoy them very much!
Very neato pieces of Elvis’ world. Seeing Elvis through other fans’ eyes and what they hold dear, gives us new personal perspectives on Elvis and how he still impacts people. Thanks for sharing!
Parabéns Asheley. Você ficou mais bonita ainda com o cabelo assim. Sua coleção sobre Elvis também é especial, como tudo que se refere à Lenda! Caixinha de música com a canção Love Me Tender é demais. A corrente com o crucifixo the best.
Love your collections, Ashley. Thanks for sharing. I have lots of Elvis vinyl records albums that I purchased from someone who purchased the records during Elvis' time. I love em all. I can't wait to go to Graceland one day.
Looking forward to seeing this video. Seeing your Elvis collection will be quite the honor. I've got a big Elvis collection myself. But I'll bet yours is even bigger! 🙂
Thanks for another great video Ashley. The photo of Elvis and a some police officers is from July 10th 1974. Elvis is at Memphis Southmen's Football opening game of the 1974 season with his 1973 Lincoln Mark IV. The location is Liberly Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis.
Ashley I've been a collector since I was 15 years old back in 1975 a little bit of everything book's posters magazines CDs vinyl records 45 single s and DVDs .but it got so expensive i had to cut back im 64 now I'll probably sell most of it some where down the road it's nice to know other Elvis fans from all over.your a nice young lady and you take care
@@ashleysadventures Wow ! Delicious menu that's very filling to the stomach ! Like a Puertorican saying , A Full Stomach Equals a Happy Heart ! When I was a kid coming from New York City to live here I remember my Aunty used to make Sancocho with large pieces of pork belly steaks cut into small chunks added ! Sounds weird but Devine ! Next time try the Mofongo with chicken broth on the side and the pork marinaded in garlic with a little bit of olive oil ! Then fry the living daylights out of the pieces of pork ! The broth will help with the mofongo and pork ! Happiest of Thanksgiving Ashley and your wonderful collection of Elvis items and pictures will always inspire me ! I had a dream that I was in Heaven and Guess Who was in Heaven ,Elvis Presley in his 1977 look ! Everyone in the dream would call him The King the Rock ??? Blessings!🙏😇♥️🇺🇸🇵🇷
That’s some really awesome collection you have. Enjoyed the video ☺️🙌🤗 I do as well have collection of his vinyl records and memorabilia I have accumulated over the years. Never stops growing lol. TCB ⚡️⚡️😎 Josip.
Hi Ashley, if it's of interest, the Dave Hebler photo reminded me of a documentary by Frank Skinner a British comedian and fan of Elvis. He bought, what was described as a shirt worn by Elvis in '56. He meets Dave Hebler - 'A Little Bit of Elvis - Frank Skinner' on YT. Unusual collection of artefacts of historical importance you have there, thanks for showing. I collect the 45 EPs and love dicographies. Love the sound tile idea, Sun records. soaking up Sun sounds, if only the tiles could talk.
EP continentals was a group of Ladies from Orlando. They presented their list of Elvis fanclub members to E.P. The President then was Shirley Swebbs. She explained that Elvis was sitting on the hood of his Lincoln fiddling with the hood ornament when Elvis asked her what was the name of the fan club. Shirley said that they didn't have an official name yet, and would he like to name the club. She said that he smiled and looked at the hood emblem and quickly said: "Continentals" "call it the E.P. Continentals." I knew Shirley personally (she passed last year) and the thing the E.P. Continentals did was amazing. They held the yearly Elvis festival near Disney and all the proceeds of the show were donated to the Russell home for children. I don't know the exact numbers or details of the monies. But I was informed that it was substantial. How I met Shirley and E. P. Continentals was through Sheryll Nielsen (later known as Shaun Nielsen). Kinda like the Boy named Sue story. Lol! Shaun happened upon the Forge in Miami Beach where I used to sing. The Forge was a nice place where back in the day whenever in town the Rat pack hung out. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis were a few. And the rest of the story (which is QUITE interesting) I will not subject you to for this is not the appropriate forum. I will tell you that I was able to see parts of Graceland and the car museum like nobody had, and All thanks to Shirley and Shaun. Keep up the wonderful work. I love your presentation as usual.
Great video! Very well done. I think it’s time that we all pitch in and get you an authentic EP autograph. I’m sure you’d treasure it. As great as you are at keeping Elvis’ memory alive, I couldn’t think of anyone more deserving! Thanks for sharing!
Ashley! Cool collection girl! My faves I think are the tiny music box, I love that and the TILE! Nice story about that. I have a very tall poster of Elvis when he did the Hawaii Special it's beautiful! Whiteish jumpsuit with the red flowered lei. He looked fantastic at that time-- I have all the newspapers from when he died as I was there in 77' 3 weeks after he passed. I have several Elvis books, a book of pictures of him etc. Happy to have it all with me~ See ya tonight!
I found an authentic Hilton Elvis button from 1975…the lady told me her personal Elvis story & she had tears in her eyes. I love that the item has a story straight from someone who was at the show.
I have quite a large collection of Elvis memorabilia. But then I have been collecting for 40 years. Probably spent a few thousand £s in the process but it's worth it😉
I love your collection! You had me giggling, you are too cute. Do you hear all those bubbles bursting all around the world, hahaha that tile is giving up it's secrets to our drewtective. I am happy you got ahold of one of them. I can only imagine being a fly on that tile back when Elvis was at Sun... it must have some very precious Elvis sounds locked within. Keep listening (and smelling, lol) and they are yours for the keeping. How cool. The other things are amazing as well... love this video, very cool.
Wow! That is an incredible piece of history you have. Sam Phillips and Memphis Recording Service is the reason I became an audio engineer. And I am not ashamed to say I am super jealous of the tile you have from there haha. Thanks for sharing!
That was cool. My favorite part was when your face lit up before you pulled out the tile from Memphis Recording Service/Sun Studio. That was awesome. Thanks so much for sharing and keep being awesome Ashley! God bless.
Oh Ashley, I so love the sign photo's from Elvis' friends! I love your collection of Elvis things. I never even thought to pick up anything on Graceland grounds when I was there as I was in so much awe of even being there. Wish I had picked up some things off the ground. Dang it! I LOVE that you have a tile from Sun Studio (if that tile could talk!!!), hate that they tell you it is all original though. Lucky you!! But it couldn't have gone to a better Elvis fan. I love that it is from when Elvis began his career, so cool. I had a velvet painting of Elvis given to me by a boyfriend, then when I "grew up", I got rid of it. Kick myself to this day for getting rid of it. I had one or two albums that I got rid of too, again, was moving on with adult life so....another kick to myself! Now I only have books that I am collecting on Elvis. Some digitally, but trying to do the physical books more. I would give tooth and nail to have a book that Elvis owned and wrote in though! lol I would love to own pieces of his clothing like you have, that is so cool. Or anything original to Elvis would be so amazing to have. But one has to have money for that and that is one thing I don't have. lol Great collection Ashely and thanks for sharing it with us. My favorites being the coloring and tile.
Ashley, your true passion as a historian was evident after watching Graceland before Elvis. Your passion continues when you show your Elvis Collection. I love how you are following your passion. Keep up the great work! I love my Sun Studio Pin that you wore in high school even more after seeing how you love the tile!!
I love the Sun tile. After your telling the story of how you got it, it makes me wonder if that microphone they have at Sun is the original. As Elvis once sang, I really don't want to know...(I'm just gonna believe it is the real deal!) Wouldn't it have been great if they had taken pictures of Elvis with the clothes they cut up and included a picture with the swatch piece inside the box set? Then we'd know what the clothing looked like and have proof. Ha! I can just see the chaos that event would have caused.
I’m with you - I don’t know if the mic is real but I prefer to think so! Girl I wish they had a whole fashion shoot before cutting the clothes! Thank you for watching!
I thought that too, because i think the rock n roll hall of fame in memphis also claims to have elvis's 50s michrophone. For some reason, graceland supposedly has the piano elvis played during the million dollar quartet recording instead of being at sun studio. I'm like you. I'm going to believe the probable lie and keep thinking that was one of his mocrophones. Ashley red pilled me and now i know they lied. Is nothing sacred. Lol.
@@user-rr3yw9dn1l It's a bitter tasting pill, that red one, lol. It can't change the atmosphere in the room where it all began for our boy though, so we can hold onto that. Once again our drewtective is onto the history and that is cool too.
When I took the tour, they said hardly anything was original. My wife and I were the only people there at the time. They said the microphone was original and had been in storage and that a desk was original but not back to the time of Elvis.
@@epgoldenage7049 Hmm, that's interesting. I visited in 2019 and I thought they said everything was original. I really just care about the mic, but why tell people it's all original if it's not? Oh well. Thanks for the info.
Ashley thanks for sharing your collection. my mom was born on Elvis Presley's birthday and that makes me an Elvis Presley fan LOL. I have a lot of memorabilia also the best thing I have is a scarf that my mom got at one of his shows. I would in case that tile in a nice plexiglass frame to protect it anyway thanks for sharing love your show. Rick, Las Vegas, Nevada USA
Also a bottle opener that I am now the happy owner of lol👏👏👏. Even in your collection it is mainly made up of people close to and special to Elvis. I think you show a lot of respect for Elvis in that you don’t view your items as fan stuff but as pieces of Elvis life. Wonderful job Ashley!
Ashley, a nice surprising video. I figured you would have a few Elvis stuff but I thought most of the video would reveal all of your Elvis books. You have some prized possessions for sure. Elvis related stuff I own are autographed images of George Klein and Billy Smith and the MMK family and a piece of carpet and change found in one of his vehicles by someone who worked at Graceland. I always love your stuff - keep it up! TCB
Nice collection 😃👍I love watching all the videos from Elvis week and his friends you get to learn so much They seem so friendly and down to earth Lol you gave me a chuckle when you said I love sniffing old things🤣,your too cute I know what you mean tho, that old antique smell I do too Thank you for sharing your collection Ashley God bless you 🙂❤
Hello my room is full of elvis things from CDs tapes vinyl box set s 45s concert belts all his films all so rest in peace Lisa Marie Presley she will be missed by all Elvis fans
Really like your channel. Very much into different types of music from very heavy to classical. And Elvis fits right in the middle. I learn alot of things about him watching your channel. Thank you.
