Everything you need to know about the Emirates Airlines Open Day! I will also include descriptions of the group activiteis I had as well as my best tips! If you want to ask anything just hit me up in the comments!
heyyy, loved your video, it was very helpful!. Just a quick question, did you have to take your laptop to the assesment day or with the phone was enough? thank youuuu
@@andreananen3574 I wish a very best of luck to you! They are hiring 5000 cabin crews from 353 cities all around the world. I hope each of us are the people who made it to Dubai! I'm super excited! 😊
Wish you luck for today please after you comeback tell us how it went do I need to send them my cv before openday or I just take it with me on that day cuz there's an openday on 17th feb and I haven't done my cv yet
Hi! I have to say it depends on how many people attend so it can be anything from a few hours to a whole day in if it's in a big location with a lot of people it can take up to 2 days. I'm really sorry I can't give a more specific answer the open day I was at didn't have a lot of people so I was only there for a couple of hours
Hey! If you look at their website it will be marked either as an open day ( you can just show up) or an invitiation only ( you need to apply on their website) And I would reccomend printing your CV and picture!
Thanks for the helpful info! Does this mean there will be another round of open days all over the world? I might not have time to go this week so I'm curious if there will be another opportunity in the UK as well soon x
Hi girly , I’m going to attend this month and what should we take with us except for the cv ? Do we need pictures? Are they necessary? If so what size ?
@@sunshine.and.shenanigansHey! Do you think they will reject me if I only have finished grade 11 and not year 12? I meet all the other qualifications but I just dont have a highschool certificate 😭 is there any possible chance they hire people without one?
Mmm good question! My best advice would be to go for it anyway and maybe you have other work experience/eductaion that will help. But best to consult the experts on that. You could potentially call Emirates to ask as they do not have a public email I belive. Best of luck girl! Crossing my fingers for you!
Hello! Sorry for the late answer! You should bring something to prove you have passed or have an education higher than grade 12 and your CV and job application with a picture of you in business formal attire included❤️I hope this helps❤️
Hi, thank you so much for making this video and helping us, I wanna ask u, how many attributes we have to give? One for person or all the group have to agree for just one attribute. Thank you in advance💛
Hi! Thank you for the lovely comment❤️ everyone presents 1 attribute so 1 for every member of the group so if it's 3 people in the group then 3 attributes get presented 🫶
Are there gonna be more open days this year? Because right now I can only see just that the open day is gonna be on February and I'm planning to attend the open day sometime in summer.
Hi! The pattern Emirates has with Oslo, Norway in particular is about once a month they will have an open day so we should be getting the date for March soon🫶 but I wish you the best of luck when you attend your open day in the summer ❤️
HELLO IRA,Thank you a lot for your story I like your communication style and I am waiting for 3 months rules too ,And wish you good luck in next chapter ❤️
All the information I have about the group scenario's is written in a answer to a comment further down but I will put in here as well when I come home❤️❤️
We had a group activity we were given a card with an occupation on it my group got the card “Photographer” and we had to pick an attribute the photographer needs to be a good one, so we presented ourselves infront of everyone and what attribute we had chosen I had chosen patience as a photographer is needed for long shoot days whether you are shooting animals, people or events patience is needed to carry all your equipment around all day as well as to wait for the best opportunities and shots, another in the group chose creativity and another one empathy. There is no right or wrong answer to this you just have to explain why you picked the attribute needed for the person to be good at their job. Then we had another group task we were given a laminated paper with the uniform information in regards to makeup jewelry hair and even hosiery. And were encouraged to make a group discussion about the uniform set up while we would be called in one by one to do the height and reach test. So we were just discussing what was written on the paper while we got pulled aside 1 by 1 to do the height (160cm) and reach (212cm) tests. After that we had another group activity in which we were given a discussion task about how you were working at a hotel and you only had 2 rooms left and you had to choose who would get the 2 last rooms we ended up picking the guy who was already staying in the hotel but his bathroom flooded, and a family with an infant attending a medical check up at a nearby hospital. and the runnerup was the couple going on their honeymoon. there is no right or wrong answer to this. There was also a the options for a social media influencer a politician and a travel jounrnalist on holiday. The next round of this we were working at the gate for a flight and we would be upgrading 1 person from economy to business class we picked the elderly gentleman who has only flown once before but was exited to fly with emirates. Again there is no right or wrong answer. Some of the other options were a business man who wanted to join the loyalty programme and a nervous flyer, and a worried mother flying with her baby. This is all the group activiteis, after these its straight to english test and final interview
Hello, Ira! I was in a Openday in portugal, and a fail because I didn´t dress myself like they want, and I haven´t done my home work!!!! I´m going to try again and I´m seeing a lot of tips and reading cabin crew things! Good luck!
Hii thanks for the video I will like to ask, how do I introduce my self, do I have to give the roles I occupy in my job or just say for example in a a waitress and that all. I have an assessment next week
Hii!!❤️ Thanks for the comment! If you are thinking about the group task where you introduce yourself to everyone at the front and that stuff, well it's a simple formula Name Age Current profession Your customer service jobs that you have had like list any and all jobs you have/had that involves customer service in real life I wish you the best of luck on your assessment day!!❤️❤️❤️
Hey i have a doubt like i got a rejection mail last week which i applied through the site ..can i still appear for the open day or do i have to wait for six months to apply again
Hi! You should still be able to appear for an open day they use codes on the open days to register that you attended the event. ( Also the new time period inbetween them is now 3 months and not 6!)
@@sunshine.and.shenanigans I have no idea about how this works ,I am from India and here we have to apply through an institution called franfink or something and many PPL are saying that they are not entertaining PPL other than their institute ..so I'm clueless so can you explain how can I directly apply through the site and how to get my resume selected or something coz as far as I know there is no location for India in the site
HI so so sorry for the late reply!! But the code that I mentioned is to used on the emirates website at the event to kind of register yourself on their website that you attended the event. I do not know the specifics about this institution, I looked at their website and they had an OPEN day open days you can just show up to they also have invite only ones in wich you send in your CV on their website and apply to attend one. Either way I wish you the best of luck!!
Hey! From what I have gathered it depends on how many people are there usually it's just 1 day but if alot of people are there it can take 2 days but the norm is 1 day🫶 in my experience they only last like half if the day ish
I'm going to an open day in March. I'm preparing myself for that day. I'm kinda excited, although I won't feel too bad if I don't get the job. What I know is that I fit the requirements and I already have experience as a cabin crew. I will try to do my best that day and let fate decide 😊

Hi! there is no right or wrong answer and you need to decide kind of as a group but for the sake of it we all discussed which ones felt right at that moment like who had a bigger NEED and not a WANT to it if you understand?
Did you pay for your own flight to Dubai for the open day or it was paid by the airline? Aside the passport picture and formal full picture, is there any other photo you need to upload?
Hi! They have their open days in cities all over the world! In my case I flew from the west coast of Norway to the east(Oslo) to attend the open day there! You have to get there on your own, so yes you pay to go there if it is not in your area. The open day it self is not in Dubai, they are all over the world. You can check on their website for when they have open days in your country. You will need to bring with you a formal picture of you in style with the emirates uniform. So a face shot and a full body one.
Hi! Thank you for the wonderful comment!❤️ You should bring a CV in english with you as well as proof of you passing grade 12 / a diploma🫶 I wish you the best of luck and I will be crossing my fingers for you 🤞🤞🤞
It definitely was because of the age, you’re a great candidate and the way you did, even with the heater point, I believe you have to give it another chance and try after your bday! ❤
Hello thank u for the video I want to ask u since u attended the open day I’m 157cm but I can reach 212cm do they only do the reach test or reach test and measure my height?
Hi! I did not personally take the english test, but from what I have heard and seen online its supposed to be pretty easy, you will get questions to fill in the answer like a grammar test with situations in airport type settings so some simple grammar checks and read and answer ones. But I would advise you to google the test itself! You get some really good results from that
No its just to check if you can make yourself understood in different situantions like in the airport/aircraft. And to be able to understand what the guests say in cases of something happening.
Hello! They have a guide on how to dress on the Emirates career website. But it's basically formal business attire❤️ and Good luck on the open day! I will cross my fingers for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Hi! No they dont! They will only check your height, it has to do with being able to reach safety equipment! And that you can reach up high enough and you can stand on your tippy toes for the reach test. They do not check your weight nor your BMI. Just height and reach.
Hi! I was told that you need to be turning 21 in 2 months ish time but you can still go to an open day for the experience and ask some questions to get a sense for it before the actual open day closer to when you turn 21❤️❤️❤️
The uniform guidelines only mentioned tattoos and other major appearance changes after being hierd like surgery and stuff so scars should not be an issue. You will have stockings/thights as part of the uniform as well
Well I prepared a little bit here and there by watching youtube videos and reading some blogs and going thotugh the emirates website. But to really prepare you dont need to go all out watch some videos look at google for a bit 2-3 days before? They will show videos and tell you about things you ned to know there really so just get dressed feel good about your shot and socialize with the others attending
Yes actually you can pass the whole open day and have the final interview but they still might decide to not bring you to Dubai. Much like any other jobs that have interviews I am afraid. Emirates just often have an extra long interview type. (open days)
They did tell me you should be turning 21 within 2 months or so but several people attended that still had more months to go but they got to do group activities for the practice! So I would recommend it! Even if you don't "qualify" (they could let you potentially go through the whole thing) it's never a bad idea to just go for it! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and I wish you the best of luck❤️❤️🤞🤞
Hi! From what I gatherd its supposed to measure your skill in english, so they will be listening to you to hear how your oral english is and then there is a simple english test that checks airport type grammar and reading skills. If you look it up you should be able to find some examples online
@@sunshine.and.shenanigans don’t be wondering and sad I meant not bad just I can’t speak enough English , your pretty and cute but when you talk the same time your busy with your hairs and it make in your talking to much breaking it’s more nice if you talking like eye to eyes and give some respect for your followers and they saw you
@@user-gg9rd6xg5uyou are overeacting , i think you should be grateful because she sharing her experience about the assesment day that u can use urself lolllll
@@sunshine.and.shenanigansoh that was my another doubt so workshops and online courses about hospitality management doesn't count right and also we need a 1yr experience on this ...I'm a fresher with a technical background I have no idea about this
Not necessarily! I also attended twice now. What they look for is someone who is social and can speak up in front of people, and also be inclusive and work in teams. Yes they do have a strict uniform and appearance rules but everyone has a shot.
@@sunshine.and.shenanigans well, I didn't mean to offend you, girl, it's just what I see as a subscriber. You could listen to, learn something new, and create further, better. So piece!
Hey, dear! Did they change the time of reapplying from 6 to 3 months everywhere? When did that change? On their website it still says 6 months. Do you know any information about this? Thank you 🫶🏼
Hey! They told me at the open day and I honestly have no clue but I am going to an open day next wednesday to ask some questions (I cant officially go until April) so I can ask them for you?
