I’m defending the desert elephant 3s for a sec. That leather used on that shoe is actual thick cuts of real leather like the jordan 1 hi 85 models. It takes realwear to break em in.

Personally I would say that you should focus on the shoes that YOU like! I mean the Jordan 3 is a solid shoe and I believe you should have it in your collection but with SO MANY releases from Jordan they’ll dry out your bank account only concentrating on one shoe. For a while I was copping stuff that was hyped but I found myself not wearing them because of their value! I say regardless of the Jordan model as long as you like it cop it! That’s how you make your collection unique but if your trying to build your collection add some Jordan 3s in there 👌🏼
Honestly I didn’t really do anything to keep ‘em that way ….I think as long as they aren’t in the box with the tissue paper you should be ok hopefully the previous owner of the shoe preserved it under those conditions though most resell sites wouldn’t let something like that pass through authentication
And I personally use the display boxes from “The Container Store” they have different sizes durable and some of the cheapest I’ve seen. Only downside is that the door notch to open them does break off over time but you can buy a door replacement for like 2$ if they ever do
