I think for a while they would alternate logos when transitioning, one example is Doctor Who The Sontaran Experiment/Genesis of the Daleks BBCV 4643, tape one has the streaks logo and tape two has the globe logo.

As far as I can tell the last tape to include the diamond logo is The Young Ones: Oil, Boring and Flood because it features the 1988 corporate logo on the side of the case as appose to the "BBC VIDEO" text and the catalogue number is BBCV 4166 and Postman Pat's Big Video is BBCV 4168.
