Wow. Love watching your beautiful designs. You should put your mom cross stitch in a frame. Your mom did a beautiful job. It is georgous. Then it can be pass on to Katherine. Especially in a frame. Good job on everything.

Nice Wip parade!!! Love the diversity in your projects! Tip: take a picture of the DMC list you need to buy and keep it in your phone so you will always have it with you when you go shopping!!

So many works in progress... I'm like you, I must have about 8 on the go and always want to start another one without finishing what I'm working on.. but I'm not doing it as a job, that's the way I am. I did finish the wolves one though and it made a wonderful pillow that I keep on my bed during the day.

I looked online for Romantic story and Ali express came up so I went there and there were many designs. Your work is lovely. I really enjoyed looking at them. I have to tell you I have one counted cross stitch and one colored canvas started and then 4 quilts as well, so seeing you have quite a few WIP makes me feel better and not so much like I’m just slacking off. LOL (Seeing your babies sleeping was not a distraction to me at all. They are so sweet. I have a baby sleeping next to me, his favorite place to sleep!) Have a wonderful day and have fun stitching.

1st canvas, I remember when you finished and washed it. I didn't realize we could do back stitching after washing. I had forgotten that the pattern shows where to do it. Nice. The ballerina looks lovely, especially the half stitches. I have yet worked on a canvas using half stitches. Must goes pretty fast.

That’s quite a collection! I think you should continue some more with the wolves, the cat (cougar?) and the flowers on the black canvas before deciding if you should finish them. They might start looking better once you get into them a bit more. The cottage kit near the end of the video is gorgeous. Your mom did a great job on her cross stitch!

keep going with the cougar you will see that you are stitching the paw under the one you are looking at , the cat is holding his other paw down , so yes it is in shadow

a word of warning when buying cross stitch kits: if the image they provide is a normal, hd photograph and not a picture of what the actual cross stitch will look like, it probably means that they didnt put much effort in making the pattern/choosing the colors etc. thats why the colors on that cougar look so weird, that kit was just carelessly produced in some factory

For the blend of flowers on the black canvas, it is necessary to take a thread of each color and sew them together, not separately as you do, they must mix them and not sew one color and then the other above. Otherwise it won't be very beautiful, that's why you don't like the look of it. It didn't blend. I hope I could have been helpful.

This kit from Riolis has to be stitch this way. It’s in the instructions

@@Lovecraftforever Maybe but the instructions are sometimes made to be bypassed. If you don't like the visual it makes, try it differently, why not by mixing the two threads, and maybe this way of doing things will make you want to continue it. As you said for the canvas where you tried to do tent stitch, you have to experience what you prefer. 😁

@@BlackRaven1995 you are right, i would blend like this, but this canvas must be stitched in one thread only. so there is no way to blend the other way, because it will make stitching in two threads . That is the problem
