I think this is my favorite videos yet. I am a fabricholic! I love all of your fabrics! I can spend hours and hours in a fabric store, I have to touch EVERYTHING, all the textures and all the prints/colors are pure joy for me. One of my very first jobs was working in House of Fabrics, now JoAnns. I also am a costume designer and seamstress and worked the Renaissance Faire/Dickens Christmas Fair for over 30 years and 6 years respectively. If you ever want info on costuming for the Faire I would love to help! It is a passion. I noticed you called the garment a “corset/stay”, but what it is a “bodice” sometimes spelled as “bodyce” from the term “pair of bodies” for Elizabethan faires. I love your fabrics! Though for the chemise or peasant blouse, I would recommend using cotton or linen. Stay away from polyester or synthetic fabrics, as they will not “breathe”, wick away sweat in the heat of our California faires, and the temps can be upwards of 90s-100s. We get a lot of folks in polyester garb in the first aid for heat stroke. However you go, I’m sure it will be amazingly beautiful when you finish. I love costuming!! Also, I love ❤fabric❤. Cheers!

I have been having such a tough time recently and finding it hard to comment on videos but this video was joyous. My fav fabrics has to be the vintage Care Bear and Strawberry Shortcake fabrics an the vintage handkerchiefs but I was born in 1980 so I have a huge nostalgia feelings for those characters! Love watching special interest videos and seeing your joy too.

I might not have a fabric collection myself but I appreciate all the different colours and textures!

The challenge now is to stop planning projects but actually to start one and perhaps even complete it!! My craft room is crammed with projects waiting to be started so you're not alone...

LOL, not only am I watching the fabric stash video, but I just found myself shaking my head "yes" and agreeing with you, as well as ooo'ing and ah'ing along with your excitement. You are totally get me piecing quilts again. That's a good thing. I literally have bolts and bolts, as well as my longarm quilting machine just sitting here waiting for me. Take care.

Soo many lovely things and soo many projects to do. Someone is going to be a busy bee. I think it would be fun to see how the hanky dress comes out, I love the plaid materials as well. My most recent project was for a blue fluffy tail, it was the most awful material and for my son to dress up for a book character for school, well he had been writing his own book and the character had a blue tail, it wasn't difficult but I wasn't keen on the hair that came out of it's, was longer than on really wanted 😊 the tail turned out well was as excuse to get the machine out.

Love this. Great Ren Faire ideas with the chemise and the cape. Plaid is awesome.A plaid shelf is a terrific idea. Maybe different types on different shelves. Edited to add: yes to the vintage hankies! Would love to see that idea come to fruition!

There's a thrift store in my town where everything is a super cheap. They have a material section and its priced a quarter to 5 dollars! Depending on the material and how much there is of it. I have found some really great material there!

Hm. Funny. I so totally like other colours and patterns (no square patterns! Maybe if then a classic green-blue tartan with a thin yellow line. No flowers. No autumn-colours, just very cold winter-colours, mostly blue, green and a special rasberry-pink, pigeon-blue, pastel-green, just very light icy yellow, ...). But I love to see the joy You have with it. Like Purple Ella with those small plushies. I really dislike if things have eyes/faces on it. I would love plushies of vegetables or things like that, but they have to be natural No faces! But because they loves it so much I love to watch it. Do You know what I mean? But there were some I loved, like that "Emily Erdbeer"-fabric (strawberry xy?), the feathers of cause, this white with thin lines of different colours waved in (of cause it has to be waved in, not printed on) and some others I don't remember now. I have two big boxes of fabrics, but not that much. I have always been poor and with that always lived in very small apartments after I left my higher middleclass home. But if not I for sure would have a lot more and would love to watch and show it😂😂😂 And I had guineapigs as a child, still love them and would totally buy every fabric that has guinea-pigs on it, even if it would be orange (I deeply dislike orange, sorry. Growing up born 76 everything in kitchen or things like plastic baskets for laundry had been orange. And my mother loved all autumn-colours like brown-beige-woodgreen-bordeaux amd only baught me clothes in those colours because she decided that fits me, and as I didn't like her I guess I hate those colours.

Wow - that's an awesome stash! I'm gonna have to disappoint you with the rabbit blanket though - that big rabbit looks too much like General Woundwort & I had nightmares about him when I was little after watching "Watership Down"!! (I know, it's weird, one of the only films to ever give me nightmares was a cartoon!! 🤣)
