46:26 you are right. Actually this is the most comfortable shape for any pen i found till now in my fountain pen collection journey . This is not only for leonardo ,any pen made in this. Shape is most comfortable 😊😊😊😊😊
Beautiful collection!! I feel so honored to have a place in it!! I’m so glad our paths crossed in 2023 and look forward to what 2024 will hold for us!!
Wowzer! You have selected some really beautiful resins! I have slowed way down on pen purchases because now the ones I want are really expensive, so I have to save up and be really selective! I did get my first Jim Hinze pen (from Pen Chalet) in Irish Isles because I love green, and I wanted to support small American pen makers. I order from Pen Chalet a lot because I am in Arizona and generally get my orders within 2 days! Really gorgeous collection you have built! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you! I understand about saving up for a big purchase... there are a couple of big purchases in mind this year. And that Hinze Irish Isles is gorgeous!
This is a lovely collection! I think you did great in curating it - and way to go: working on letting go of the anxiety of having too much. I'm glad this brings you joy instead of the feeling that you overdid.
Thanks Simone - there were many many hours thinking about each pen that came in and the pens that left, but for how this collection came to be at the end of 2023, I'm happy with the journey!
One of my pen goals this year is to explore more of the hand-turned pen companies, so this video is so helpful! Wonderful video, as always. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I watched your collection video and it sounds like it's your time to delve into the hand turned pens! I love being able to work so closely with the makers - it makes the whole experience so much more worthwhile.
I love seeing all of your beautiful pens in one video. I truly like the variety of brands, models and colors. The talent of the makers in all of the hand turned pens is evident! I started to buy a few hand turned pens recently to support their work.. I have never had a pen tuned by a nibmeister, but I bet it can make a significant difference in how well you like a pen. Thanks for sharing your collection and your thoughts about the pens.
I own Pelikan 405 F, Pilot 823 Fine, Pilot E95S Fine, The New Benu Euphoria Gray Earl Fine none of them beat the Sailor Mediun-Fine nib smoothnes with a little bit of feedback, by the way I am medium nib guy since I hate feedbacks and last month when I tried my first Sailor (Vega) pen I decided to let go all the pens I mentioned above to either buy a Sailor King Of Pens or three regular size special editions, you know like a Holy Trinity kind of thing. Every time I use the Vega Sailor which barely cost me $80, I scream at my self for all the years I’ve been in this hobby and never wanting to buy a Sailor, Sailor revived my love for fountains pens the only thing that it sucks about them is that the colors I want are always sold out.
I just love your collection and how it changed over the last year… especially your tray of handturned pens makes me drool… :D Thank you for sharing and I’m already curious about your end of 2024 video. ;)
I love how thoughtful you are with every purchase Karyna! Your collection is beautiful! I especially love your maker collection! Also, so happy you pulled the trigger on the M800! Excited to see what 2024 has in store for us!! Happy New Year!
Thank you, Lori! I've been following your journey as well and I love how your collection is a true reflection of you and your tastes! I cannot wait to see how 2024 unfolds! Take care!
Bolstered by your love of Esties, I tried some at the Philly Pen Show. They really are lovely but I really don't like how they feel. I prefer slim, light pens, so basically the opposite of you :) so I get to enjoy them through you versus having my own. I love seeing you enjoy all your pens.
Beautiful collection! I am nowhere near your price point ( I have the Furore Aquapetra ) but if I was to go crazy I would want the Vanishing Point, the Brown Pelikan and the Leonardo Andromeda…. delicious pens 💜
You have a beautiful collection Karyna! Being an Aries, one must have a Zodiac Pen in the Aries model. I have the Galaxy Prime in Matte in the Aries model. It is wonderful in the hand 😍
Just found your channel. Loving it. I am quite envious of your lovely collection. Is there any chance of ever getting either or both of those Leonardo pens? The Andromeda or Milky Way. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them.
You talked about a few pens you have sold in the past. I don’t know if it’s just me, or where I live, but I have never bumped into another person in my life who collects fountain pens, let alone might buy one I might like to sell.
I have a couple of friends who are also into fountain pens and I met some more at the Pelikan Hub in September. But I have sold all of my pens online through my Instagram or through Reddit.
@@KarynaLovesToPlanWhere I live there is so little that can be organised for pen lovers of any type of pens. There was the Sydney Pen Show, but they have done nothing since 2019. I was unable to travel to the Pen Shows when they had them, and now that I can, they don’t have them.
Yikes, that’s impressive! My addiction takes a slightly different path. I’ve got about a dozen pens, all either #5 or #6 original issue nibs, but I’ve bought swap out alternatives (nibs) fooling myself into thinking I’ve got a new pen. FPNibs from Spain, plus FPR domestically and Franklin Christoph have become reliable nib sources. Lastly, my real addiction has been inks. I’ve gone from zero bottles four years ago to >300 today.🙄
I would also say the same about the lamy 2000, never thought i would own but but it’s a good, comfortable pen, as for the nib i went in the other direction with a BB. Sailor mediums are indeed lovely! I too didn’t like my MF, had to tune it before it starting writing well
