Longchamp is my favorite brand. This may not be popular, but I do throw my original nylon totes in the washing machine and hang them to dry. It cleans the corners in the inside and outside marks, and the leather is fine. Then I also use leather conditioner when dry. All fresh again. It works for me! ☺️

I am new to Longchamp, but I am in love!!! This bag will survive a nuclear blast! I have five different Le Pliage in different colors, different sizes, and a vintage leather tote.

I might also have a few Longchamp duplicates, you are right - they do travel so well, we have some Off Store Racks nearby and I can find a decent selection at a discount. The short handle ones sit great on a roller bag, I love that I can collapse them down or bring one along packed to pull out later.. so versatile. I actually go to the dollar store and buy the cheap cutting mats and cut a base shaper for them which allows them to keep some structure when I travel and protect the stuff in my bag in case the airplane floor is wet or something. My favorite in is a tiny shoulder bag one and it doesn’t have the flap- I toss it in my work tote and it has my card cases and mini Pouchette in it. I need an XS but haven’t settled in one yet.

I’ve loved Longchamp bags for many years, but my collection has increased exponentially thanks to your reviews. I just got the boucle fabrication…that strap!!! It looks great on the XS taupe bag too!

🇨🇵 Hi, Autumn! A nice growing collection here! Some Longchamp bags are in my mind like Le Pliage LGP leather black XS or Le Foulonne shoulder/crossbody bag leather brown M. Did you know that, several years ago, Longchamp discontinued a Le Pliage hobo bag with a large adjustable/non removable strap? You can't find it in regular stores or on the French/German Longchamp website anymore. BUT, because the German people really like this very practical bag, you can still find it on the Breuninger website as a kind of exclusive product (several colors). I gifted this bag in navy to my daughter. She took this bag every single day during her highschool time with her. It was perfect to wear crossbody because she had to take her bike to school as usual in Germany. Each time I see this bag, I think it would be a great piece for your Longchamp collection! I don't know if you can get it in the USA!? Have a great weekend!

It should be next time. People are telling me in the comments that from the outside the material is waterproof but not from the inside. Somehow it's different from the inside so it can breathe. I'm not really clear. I've never heard of such a thing.

Most waterproof fabrics are only waterproof one way - since you want wearable things to breathe (shoe and jackets) - so as long as the water is from the outside I think they are pretty water resistant ^^

I have the backpack top and I don't like it. It has no outside pocket for quick access to keys, phone or anything else. The coin purse is my recent purchase and it's so cute. Thanks for sharing your story.

Thank you!! ♥️ I love Longchamp le pliage cuir! I have only two, another on the way. I’ve returned three mediums bc they just aren’t quite large enough, can’t access stuff when they’re crossbody. The gray one I returned reluctantly: it was made in Tunisia and the gorgeous gray leather was silky soft, best leather I’ve ever seen. The color was gorgeous, too, not too dark, not too light. It was just too small for my needs, but I regret returning it! 😊

I’m so excited to see you also have added an item in the color paper! That has been my absolute favorite. I have a small top handle, backpack, and large travel bag in paper. I also love cognac. My large tote & cosmetic case are in that color.

I haven’t pulled the trigger on buying one of their tote bags yet since my Neverfull is my go-to tote, but I definitely will consider purchasing one when I travel again. Not sure I’d pay for more than $100 for a nylon tote, so I would definitely pick one up from Nordstrom Rack or off eBay. The mini size bags are super cute … wouldn’t mind owning one. My more “affordable” luxury focus has been on Strathberry and Mansur Gavriel the past few years, so that’s where most of my own collection expansion is coming from! I can definitely relate.

So sorry about your disaster! I'm glad your computer is okay. I recently heard from another RU-vidr, although I can't remember who. That Longchamp mends their bags. The RU-vidr was specifically speaking of the corners that fray but it's worth looking into. They said that they are able to mend the corners one time. 💕 Longchamp 💕 thank for sharing your collection 🤩

I got it preloved from The Real Real so I'm not sure of its origin story but they made a gunmetal metallic one, too. TRR has one right now that tempts me but it's stained inside so I'm not getting it.

I love your collection. I have a story similar to yours and can definitely say they are not water proof. was at Universal studios had a bottle of pineapple fanta (we don’t have it in Australia) in my bag, I didn’t realise the lid wasn’t on it properly. Anyway walking through the park when I noticed my side felt wet, the fanta had not only leaked through my entire bag, passport, camera everything but had seeped through onto me. Everything dried out and the bag is as good as new, that’s why I love Longchamp they are so durable. Have you seen the personalised ones you can get?

Wow ! Your wine disaster was almost a Lemony Snicket’s event ! Your neoprene sleeve saved the day . Since the bag isn’t purple stained in tne bottom I’m assuming it was white wine . It’s amazing how seemingly innocent decisions can backfire spectacularly sometimes . Sometimes you just have to laugh , and realize you didn’t see that one coming !

It was white, yes. And I'm so glad I keep my laptop in the sleeve. May have to buy another one, though. It reeks of wine and I'm not sure how well it would do in the wash.

My first ever longchamp was the original le pliage in navy with brown trim (the large tote). First rainstorm of the year I was wearing it to work (I thought it was waterproof). It was not. My stuff was wet inside and the bag still has stains/water marks from that event. IDK how to get them out or if its even possible. They're definitely not waterproof.

What is more tragic, liquid in the bag, or spilling wine??? 😯. My experience with Longchamp is that they are water resistant, you can carry them in the rain and the inside of the bag will stay dry. But wine!!! It’s a shame you had to do that “experiment”. I’ve put my totes in the washer once or twice. They came out pretty ok.

There's water repellant and there's waterproof. The outside of the bags are repellant. You tricked the bag with the interior flood of wine ;-D Its your fault I'm getting an XS. I already love Longchamps so that boat had sailed, but the XS is def your fault :)

I really appreciate your love for Longchamp! It's one of my favorite brands and the brand I have the most of in my bag collection. I too love the XS bag (I have it in black/silver hardware). I'm curious about the new line of coated canvas bags in their city line collection. I'm considering the black one in a large size, as well as the little pouch. Anyway, thank you for a fun video. Oh is THAT the difference with that line? The canvas is COATED? I was just talking to someone yesterday about the pouch and how her regular one is $65 and the city pouch is $125 and we couldn't figure out the reason for the price difference. Now I get it. I might have to pick something up to review it. I'm very curious now. And that terracotta color! Wow!
