My P. Patriciaea is so tiny. I loved seeing yours, I know what I have to look forward to. Your micans is gorgeous, also one of my favourites. I have mine in semi hydro and she's taking off beautifully, again what I have to look forward to, loves a good shower to keep those leaves clean

Awh thank you 🥰 I do love that this hobby just continues to give; plants grow, they shift and change so much and even when we chop back and start again we know the potential they have and what we can look forward to! They’re forever changing and I love that! You’re totally right about the Micans and a shower, I used to do it so regularly but I’ve definitely been neglecting her over the last year or more 🤦🏻‍♀️

Haha 🙈 honestly, my carpet after filming that video was full of dead leaves and old cataphyll/sheaths 🤣 and my hands were so sticky and gross 🫠 thanks for being here! I’ve been enjoying your videos by the way - I’m not the most consistent commenter but I’m making my way through your uploads 🥰

I cut my Gloriosum up and planted 3 in my pot. That way it looks full. The chonks have been popular at the local plant swaps. I like the Mamei as the nicest crawler. The petiole to leaf ratio is the best. However, the Dean McDowell has the prettiest leaves.

That Majestic is stunning! It gives me hope mine will look nice someday! I bought mine and promptly broke off the top. Yadder, Yadder I ended up with a top cut, mid-cut and the bottom cut. So I too have 3 stems on a pole. ♥️🤞🏻♥️

Eek! Fingers crossed for you 🥳 I feel like 3 stems on a pole for plants like this is ideal, enough to make it look bushy with those intermodal spacing but not all much that it looks chaotic - at least that’s the hope 🤣

The Burle Marx is always so chaotic. 😂 I’m trying to grow mine just wild and trailing in one direction. Similar to the Florida plants that are left to trail. But more bushy. 😂 I chopped mine and replanted like 5 more props so it is going to be FULL. We shall see!

I think you’d enjoy the Jose Buono. Much prettier than the Paraiso Verde and keeps the variegation easily.

I haven’t ever really looked at the Jose buono but after seeing your comment I had a lil insta search and you’re right, the ones showing up there are gorgeous, love the variegation style! If the opportunity presents itself I think I will get one, thank you for the recommendation Mandy!

Get the Paraiso Verde on a heat mat or it’s going to revert. Mine grew many green leaves until I put it on one. Now it’s pretty again. I have mine in PON in no drainage and she’s doing great.

Crikey, she’s a high maintenance plant isn’t she! 🤣🙈 I’m intrigued to see how she does, not wanting to use a heat mat during the warmer months but I’ll definitely keep it in mind for the cooler months 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have brought her into the living room which is generally consistently warmer than the room she was in before 🤞😅

Thank you lovely! I honestly don’t give the patriciae anything special in terms of lighting 🙈 she sits on top of my plant shelves and doesn’t get any grow light action, so just relies on the daylight from the windows; if footcandles or lux mean anything do you I can measure them a bit later on in the day and let you know - but I’d hazard a guess at very low 🙈 I think I actually only have 2 begonias 😧 which I’m very surprised about! I used to have quite a few and many have left my collection for one reason or another but there are lots that I would like to have again 🥹

I gave up on the Brandi which is saying something as I’m s.t.u.b.b.o.r.n. I tried with 4 different plants. The stuck leaves finally pissed me off enough that I gave up. Try a Scindapsus Silver Hero or Platinum. They fill that gap for me.

Haha I love this comment! The leaves do get stuck a lot don’t they. They’ve got potential to be stunning plants but I’m not sure I want to put in the effort 🤦🏻‍♀️ I have a few silvery Scindapsus and they are gorgeous, just not quite the right shape for it to fill the gap for me 🥹 but I love them for other reasons 😅

I can’t get any variegation on my pairaiso’s they are ALL fully green, dunno how hot she wants it but I’ve tried cabinets, windows 🤷‍♀

@@perkyplants I really hope not because it’s lovely. I’ve spoken to a few people with lovely variegated ones that stay looking lovely with hardly any effort and couldn’t offer any insight as to why some stay green despite best affords and good conditions 🤷‍♀️ How is you paradoxa? I am so so very jealous, it’s my top wishlist plant. I’ve scoured the UK market for one for 2yrs. I emailed Hayley but I think she’s been on holiday. I was hoping she had some cuttings or something left over x
