Hey guys! Here is my entire physical tbr! That's right, I have over 700 books on my physical tbr and I show them all to you in this video! Where to find me: Goodreads: / katie-magruder Instagram: / katielynnreads
You can feel better about yourself. I have at least 3 times what you have on my unread tbr (and yes, I still buy more, but i thrift them lol). Look at it this way….we always have options on what to read next!!
Whiskey Lies and Loving Whiskey by Brittanee Nicole are AMAZING! I love them both so much. The stories are great and the audiobooks are incredible. I’m honestly not a huge audio fan but Joe Arden does the narration and he literally IS Cash. Definitely bump those up on your TBR!
I guess my biggest question is, does it not stress you out having 712 books that you've invested thousands of dollars on but have yet to read and no way of know whether or not you're actually going to like them all? even if you read 100 books a year, it'll still take you 7 years to read all these books not to mention all the additional books you'll more than likely pickup over the years. I'm not trying to be a B. I know my comment sounds judgie. But I'm legitimately curious. Truth is I found myself in a similar situation not that long ago. I owned 800 books, 500 of those unread. Personally it stressed me out to no end, just looking at my bookshelves overwhelmed me. And anytime I read from those books only not to like it, it stressed me out even more lol! I ended up doing a HUGE unhaul. Luckily I was able to sell most of them, all be it not for what I had paid, but still getting some of my investment back was better then nothing at all. Ended up inhauling over half of my unread collection, and put myself on a book spending budget of $100 a month, that allows me to buy anywhere from 3-5 books a month, though I now try to read it before I buy it but that's not always possible. Yeah so legitimately curious how having such a huge tbr affects you if it does at all. Oh and if I could recommend any of your collection to pickup sooner then later, I highly recommend Still Beating, omgosh LOVED that book, as well as One Day in December (btw its not a Christmas book). Happy reading! Love your videos. 😊
It’s nice to know I’m not alone when it comes to book buying but honestly it doesn’t bother me to much because I feel like I’m a book collector as much as a reader. I love the look of books on shelves, I enjoy looking at the covers so when I think about the money I get a little 😬 but I’m single with no children so I have the luxury to spend money on myself. Lol
I haven’t read the Brutal Birthright series but I pulled the Kingmakers series on my July TBR so I’ve been working through those. I’m enjoying them so far…I read books 1 & 2 and I’m like 80% through the third. (Also sorry for a million comments, I’m just commenting as I watch and have something to say 😂)
I’m so torn on the Mystic HD books. Haunting and Hunting is one of my favorite duets ever and I am literally obsessed with these copies. I’m afraid if I return them that I won’t like the new ones as much 😫
I love all your videos, you crack me up and I love it... it definitely doesn't feel like you went thru 700+ books... I would suggest reading The Perfect Ruin, Jar Of Hearts, The Holiday Swap, House Of Salt And Sorrows, The Plot, The Hunting Wives, BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY you HAVE to read STILL BEATING!!@!... also, you have a lot of books with the original covers that you could sell online and make a lot of money on (the Sophie Lark books, The Sara Cate books, the special editions, even the original Mariana Zapata's!!) It's so tempting! But then again they're your babies!!
I don’t know if this is helpful 😂 but I tried to both read and listen to The Guest List and hated it. I DNFd both. It was too confusing for me. There were so many POVs and a back and forth time jump of present and earlier in the weekend. I had trouble keeping track of who everyone was and remembering which time period it was. Maybe I just don’t pay enough attention but it was awful for me…I actually just sold it at a yard sale this weekend!
Midnight library was okay, but I felt the ending was hokey lol. The silent wife was ok. Finlay Donovan knocks em dead was funny - go into it like an I love Lucy show
Are the Twlilights special dust covers? I just found the whole series in hardcover at a thrift store last week and I just found out that those are a thing and I want to get some! Those look so pretty
I want to see Barbie so bad (also 34 and grew up on Barbies) but sadly I’m the only female in a house with 3 males and my 12 & 10 year old sons said “eww no” 😂😭 I may just go see it by myself!
The hating game was annoying. She acted like a tween with issues against him and he just tried to keep his distance, but he’d prod her every so often (don’t blame him).
I do…. This year I haven’t read as many as I would like. I’ve read 26 so far. I’m not a big audiobook listener because I’m a visual person so if I do listen to it I’ll also read along in my book to ebook
@@KatieReads I can’t do audio either- I fall asleep. I am down from last year too. I read 250 last year and this year just 109 so far. I don’t have as much time AND I am running out of space so trying to unhaul ones I know I will never read again etc. good luck!!
Im sorry but this is actually concerning. It’s not only bad for your wallet but also for the environment. Over consumption is a serious problem and it seems like you have a book buying addiction…
Maybe… but it’s my money and it’s what I enjoy spending it on. I’m not married and have no kids so I spend it on myself. I’m the words of Adele… “I don’t have to explain myself to you, I’m a grown woman and I do what I want to do”. But thanks for the feedback. ☺️
This is a really big unread collection, but to be honest... It's your money and you're supporting small/indie authors. It's not like you're out here doing a haul of a fast fashion brand where the money goes to billionaires. The only thing that ""hurted"" me to see was the books on the floor, because I'm way to clumsy for that lmao I know I'd accidently bump into a stack and the whole thing would crumble
