What a superb collection of TVC and 3.75 figures Nate. Such a great selection of figures, so many cool Jabba's denizens and aliens. I just wish that the Black Series got the same kind of love when it comes to aliens and creatures, we all know that Hasbro would kill it! Thank you for sharing Nate, great tour!
You guys said that different content usually doesn't do as well as the regular content of the channel. Well, I hope this video bucks that trend, this was an awesome video taking a tour of your 3.75" figures. I myself have slowed way down and haven't gotten a TVC in a while, gotta save money for TBS. Lol. Thanks for the tour, and great video. 👍
Nate has done a few TVC reviews sprinkled throughout the channel...but most of the time I think he would agree that the effort doesn't justify the return. We've been trying to think of ways to incorporate other things into the channel that wouldn't be straight up "reviews." I'd like to do something similar with 3D printing! -Justin
I could tear open Black Series all day but I don't think I could ever bring myself to desecrate these beautiful card backs. I grew up in the PotF era so the vintage style cards always seemed like mystical artifacts from an ancient time. The retro OT 80's ones are cool but I find the EU and new canon ones give me that special feeling like in a childhood dream where something you wish existed exists. People used to make customs but Hasbro always stuck to the OT. Nice collection!
Awesome 3.75 collection Nate! I’m a collector of both scales but 3.75 is my first love. You guys are my go-to channel for Black Series but I like getting your thoughts on TVC/3.75 as well so please keep mixing these kind of videos in.
We've both been thinking of ways we can incorporate "other stuff" into the channel without getting punished. I think an entire collection video was the perfect idea for Nate's TVC collection. Thanks for checking it out, Brett! -Justin
Hello Nate it's nice to see more of your collection of figures. I've had so many figures from other lines I've collected over the years in boxes that I can't get rid of. I've only sold a few of my original Transformers my Stunticons and haven't sold anything since, feels like I've broken a taboo. I am going to send you guys my only holiday Snow Trooper I got from a friend a couple of years ago. If you have him already then let Justin have him. I've got things I'm sorting through and hopefully I'll send you guys more stuff eventually. I'm a terribly procrastinating person, but I do things eventually. Thanks again for sharing your collection with us and take care, Tom
Hey Tom! Thanks for checking out the new video. I appreciate that! I think Nate does have that one so I'd love to get it for next holiday season. Take care, my friend! -Justin
Pretty crispy 3.75 collection. Love the cardbacks of TVC! When i was in my later half of Highschool POF figs where going strong. I use to buy them and hang them on my wall so this hit the feels for sure! The jabbas palace display is epic. You can hear max and the band playing when looking at it! Thanks for sharing this Nate
Thank you brother! Honestly POTF is becoming a favorite of mine. I can’t believe how many sculpts still hold up to this day! Only bad part is being pretty much down to needed the more expensive figures from that line. I was happy to get the 3 I found this weekend. It was totally one of those “just when I thought I was out” moments lol. -Nate
Thank you for the tour that was awesome. Is a real fun video. I currently don't purchase much 3.75 but it's a large part of my collection. I do love it. I love the old price tags too K-Mart Toys R Us KB ect. I love people that aren't in the Box and can love both lines of toys TVC and Black Series.
Very cool video, Nate! I only have a handful of 3.75 inch figures. Two that you guys gave me, Bariss Offee still on card, and some from the 90s that are still on card, and the Dr. Aphra/000/BT-1 three pack still in the box. Very impressive collection - I had no idea you had that many. Thanks for sharing!
Great collection, Nate! Been thinking about starting a small TVC collection ever since I got the old Max Rebo Band collection last year for my birthday. Figure they’ll fit well with my 3.75 inch SW figures I still have since childhood. Definitely gonna get that Dark Times Vader first!
Very nice collection! I sold all my star wars figs in this scale and went all in on the 6 inch black series. But I do enjoy a good collection video and they look cool posed together with so many characters hasbro hasn't made yet
Ooooooohhhhhhhhhh!! A treat this is, to be savoured later!! Can't wait to see this. Natey!!!! Termi-Nate-tor!!! The One-Eight-Straight!! My collection is in chaos at the moment. I've ripped the shit out of my sw room and there is stuff everywhere. Got so much new bs in the last couple of months there is nowhere to put it in the current set-up. Everything is going to be jammed in tighter which I don't want to do, but now have no other choice. I also pulled the trigger on a bs grail item yesterday, seconds after seeing it on weebay, and need some front and centre room to display the pricey barstard! Won't say what it is until it resides in ol' Dave's sweaty palms for fear of jinxing it. Really looking forward to this, late in the evening, uk time, when I've sat down.
Hello David I've got black series figures in my second bedroom that have been piling up starting with red and black boxes, so for awhile now. I also have a few vehicles from black series like Luke with Landspeeder, Dak with snowspeeder, and a mandalorian scout trooper with Grogu in the bag and speeder bike. Yeah I've got to get organized. I want to make that room into a computer room/ office with a small couch with a pull out bed if someone needs to sleep over. So many things I want/ need to do. Eventually redo the kitchen, bathroom, and work on the living room. You wouldn't have an extra million dollars hanging around you don't need, do you?? LoL 🤣 I just wanted to say hi so nevermind my rattling on. I hope you and your daughter are well and having a great new year.
@@theperceptor9287 Tom! Rattle on my man! Hope you are both well. Myself and daughter are good, thank you. 23 hours over the last few days I've put into re-sorting my collection. I'm sick of the sight of them! I've gone from using glass doors from an old cabinet to a reclaimed shower door as a 6ft glass shelf in one bit! I am truly now out of space. Everything new has just about gone in, but that really is "all she wrote" now. Having got all of the bs vehicles now, I really am disappointed we probably won't get anymore.
@@davidedge2828 I'm also disappointed about black series vehicles situation. Glad you and your daughter are well. I'll start tackling my black series shelving issues soon. My wife is on vacation at the end of the month so she will assist me in going through that situation. LoL
What a nice sized collection Nate! The Revenge of The Sith boxes bring back so much memories! I have a ROTS Vader in the same box shape and also loose great figure! Your Jabbas palace diorama looks really nice! Thanks for showing your collection dude! -Stephen Penor
Those ROTS boxes are peak nostalgia! I really hope we can get some kind of throwback packaging with that style in the Black Series for the 20th anniversary in 2025! -Justin
I collected both black series and tvc for about 8 years or so. Recently I've sold all of my black series and only collect TVC. It now makes room for all my other brands
You know what Nate deals are needed man. Those clearance sales are key. I do recommend getting those cardbacks you really want though. There is a tone of awesome product out there. TBS has taken a back seat for me right now because I know I can pick this stuff up in a year from now for the same price at some point. That being said I just ordered Echo last night lol. Going to get the 40th cardbacks though. If I was caught up on TVC 1.0 I would be getting all the TBS as well.
The only 3.75 stuff I have is the TIE bomber. It sits on my bureau. My son has a bunch of figures from the 2010's and a Legacy Falcon. He's currently trying to sell them for tuition.
My 3.75 collecting fills the holes that I can't fill with 6 inch specifically vehicles and dios/adventure "play sets". I have about a dozen carded figs for some classic packaging representation. Can't wait for the Jabba/Boba throne room palace set. I had fun this summer picking up figs from old lines to fill out the palace. That Jabba glob could work great in that set 🤔
100% same! One of the big reason I got into it was just how deep they have gone with Jabbas Palace stuff. I’ve always been fascinated with all the different crazy characters you see. The Jabbas palace play set is going to be a game changer! That will literally be a collection rearranger for sure! I’m thinking if we don’t get a crack at TVC Jabba that it’ll be the one I use for that display. -Nate
@@OutOfTheBasement Ya if there's one dio I'd go all out for in terms of money and space it's Jabba's palace. I love it for the same reasons. I'd be surprised if they didn't release a new Jabba or re-release the one from a decade ago. It makes too much sense with the rotj anniversary and this set being released. I always wanted old figs like ephant mon, max rebo etc. but I needed extra incentive and the palace set pushed me over the line. I found a bunch for cheap at a garage sale recently which was a rush you can't get at Walmart. The carbonite wall will look so good with it too. Your current setup already looks great!
@@OutOfTheBasement Aside from doing reviews for newer releases (I'm not sure if you're going to be getting Luke for the end of Mando season 2 or the Endor bunker) you could do custom feature videos for both TVC and TBS, I know theres a lot of talented people out there that have made amazing customs you could feature on the lazy Sundays live streams that would add more to that live stream and could be great for both lines. But it is hard to think of stuff since you're not an avid TVC Collector in a TBS based channel. Still great video!
Impressive..... Most impressive... I still feel the vintage collection is better when it comes to world building. The 3.75 figures are now as good or even better than the black series in some cases. The sculpt and paint apps are top notch. The vehicles and playsets ade amazing as well.
I’d agree world building is hands down better and the new figures are getting better and better! I wish they would do more new sculpts though. So many TVC figures are obviously like 10+ years old just with new paint. -Nate
If SWB never came along, I would probably have TVC as my main Star Wars collection. But I really don't have space or money to run two similar collections side-by-side. As it is, I never had any of the original Kenner figures as a kid in the late 70s/early 80s, and I only ever had a PotF C-3PO, so I don't have any particular nostalgia for 3.75" Star Wars figures.
I feel you on the space issue that’s why I really try to limit myself to only opening Jabbas Palace stuff! Soon enough though the walls aren’t gonna have any room left! -Nate
Great collection, i’ve recently gotten back into 3.3/4 and ceased buying TBS all together and have even sold some off. I always had and was buying 3.3/4 aa far back as the POTF2 days, before that my folks got me the Kenner era stuff, but i’m only focusing on Mos Eisley/Cantina and Mos Espa (films, EU, TCW etc) these days. Some figures from TLC are proving hard to track down carded but that’s half the fun of it.
@@OutOfTheBasement that’s a fact. My only hope (or would that be a fools hope?) is that Hasbro gets back to the cantina, Mos Eisley and Mos Espa at some point in the near future. There’s so many missing characters and Hasbro could even dip their toes back into the Holiday Special cantina again like they did with POTJ Zutton (Zutmore/Rachalt Hyst). Hell, Hasbro even released Greedo with a picture of Bludlow on the packaging, Momaw Nadon with a picture of Deneb Both on the packaging and Labria with a picture (and a Holiday Special paint job on the figure ) of Kardue’sai’Malloc on the packaging. There’s still a few podracers left, too…..Ebe E Endocott, Elan Mak, Aldar Beedo, Boles Roor, Ark ‘Bumpy’ Roose, Neva Kee and Wan Sandage. Pack each figure with a Pit Droid and it’d be double salivation for me. Kitster & Wald in a 2-pack would be awesome, too, just quietly. I shall wait patiently.
The Force is strong with this shelf. Except for one, all my TVC picks have been great. I’m not into world building yet because I’m just starting out. My wish for modern TVC 2.0 is more villains so each can benefit from new tooling. If anything, I hope for all that Revan and Tyranus eventually get revealed at some point.
Hi Nate, Do u have any information of where can I buy these figures, I ve been looking on amazon but there isnt much variety. Your collection is pretty awesome dude!
awesome vintage figures man love the collection also so you’re friend broke the shitter and gave you a action figure in return? lmao just was curious if that haha
