Great video. Only discovered your channel recently. I recently managed to find a Tomb Raider 2 wetsuit figurine up in Dublin in a retro gaming shop. You never know what you'll find in those shops.
What a lovely collection and a comfy video of it all! There was also a long series of Tomb Raider comics published by Top Cow back in early 2000s, hopefully we get a reprint of the whole collection at some point (I think the hardcovers were called Tomb Raider Archives).
@@suzannetheraider They really are right now, it's so sad. There was a softcover collection of 50 issues called Tomb Raider Compendium, which may be available a bit cheaper, but it doesn't contain all the one-offs and crossover issues, so it's not quite as complete. Hopefully Dark Horse can reprint the collections at some point. EDIT: okay I take that back, I thought the compendium is more recent, but it's actually older and so even more expensive now. Never mind!
Thank you so much ☺️ oh amazing that you still have them!!! 😍 they are pretty difficult to keep in good condition! The TR guide books I had as a kid all fell apart and are in terrible condition 🙈 But it means we got a lot of enjoyment from them ☺️
This was such a cool video! Although I'm not much of a TR collector myself (I only have an AOD Lara bubblehead I won in a contest once, and the 20 Years of Tomb Raider book by Meagan Marie), I love watching other peoples collections! 4:18 Have you ever played _Tomb Raider: The Prophecy_ on GBA? I really liked that one! Maybe you can play it on the channel some day, would be fun! 5:07 Although I'm a huge fan of Legend, I'm not much a fan of Anniversary and Underworld - I still like them (I like all TR games and different versions of Lara), but they're definitely on the bottom of my ranking. But I will definitely watch your upcoming series on them to hear your (updated?) opinions on them! 6:09 I agree with you on the (games in the) Young Lara trilogy (that's the most accurate title for it, in my opinion) and largely feel the same way. When we're getting there, I am all up for (hopefully) interesting conversations about them!
Thank you 🥰 I’ve never played any of the Game Boy games but I’d love to play them at some stage 😃 oh yay! Thank you for saying you’ll watch Anniversary and Underworld even though you don’t like them. I think it’ll still be fun to learn the info about them and luckily they are short 😂😂😂 Anniversary is my least favourite. I’m not hugely looking forward to playing through it but I’m so excited for Legend and Underworld 😍 I will really enjoy the conversations when we get to the reboot. Everyone always has such varying opinions on it 😂
@@suzannetheraider Luckily, the GBC games and the GBA game can be played easily on pc using an emulator, so it isn't too much of a hassle (plus, you can create save states everywhere and anytime you want, which makes for a much more enjoyable experience). I still like TRA and TRU, but they are definitely not my favorites. Having said that, I am always interested in hearing the opinions of other people/TR fans on them, even if - or maybe especially - if our opinions differ. That's also true for the games in the latest trilogy, although the discourse around those can become quite nasty (sadly). I grew up on the classics, but love the Young Lara trilogy (so not all classic fans 'hate' them, far from it). First, it's time to enjoy Legend though :) I am really looking forward to your playthrough - have fun!
The original Tomb Raider was indeed a Sega Saturn exclusive for maybe 11 months I think and that's where I first saw it. Finished the whole game in a week and played it to death for a couple of years after that. I later got The Last Revelation on my favourite console the Dreamcast. I couldn't find a route up the giant Pyramid near the end, so unfortunately I never finished it. I bought the entire set of games on Steam during Covid, but couldn't play them with a controller, so when the ReMastered Trilogy was released I bought them immediately. Angelina Jolie was great in the first film, haven't seen the second, but Alice Vikander was a bad choice for the most recent one. Read some of the comics 20 years ago and also had a great figure/statue of her too. Thanks for the great video showing all the cool TR stuff...! 👍🏻
The next tomb raider after shadow of the tomb raider is not going to be a reboot it's going to be a mix of old and new games you will have to control other characters besides lara
I love most of the Tomb Raider The angel of darkness was terrible with its controls how 1996 started it all 2022 now and there still making them super video Sister 😊
Thank you 😊 I would recommend getting the games on Steam to start off if you don’t have them already, and maybe getting some of the comic books, they are great fun ☺️
1:55 My Childhood Game Tomb Raider Lara Croft Yes!!! I Grow up played that game. I'm a Big Lara Croft fan. Nothing will Never Change that. I just subscribe to your Channel for the Frist time. and Yes I Have Tomb Raider legend on PS2 and Tomb Raider Anniversary on PS2 and Haven't Even finished playing Tomb Raider Anniversary But eventually I will.
I have a pretty decent collection. Not really by choice! 😂 Lara Croft was my childhood superhero so my parents to this day still randomly surprise me with Tomb Raider stuff! 💚
@@suzannetheraider it’s always special when they get something from Tomb Raider. It’s sweet how they remembered how much I enjoyed the games and films as kid! 💚
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support 🥰 oh wow! Hello to you in Texas! Haha I won’t ask but that’s so cool that you’re from Westmeath! Close to where I grew up ☺️
I remember playing Spyro when it was first released on PS1. I thought it was so ahead of its time. The graphics were really good for a PS1 game. There was a game called Croc 2 that I really liked too.
Yes I thought the same! I thought Spyro looked so real! The graphics were amazing at the time 😍 I love all the Spyro games so much and was so impressed with the Reignited Trilogy and improved graphics ☺️ omg! I played Croc 2 also! Loved that little croc, he was so cute 😂😂😂
@@suzannetheraider I recently bought Tomb Raider 3 and 4 for PS1 on ebay. I think there was another PS1 Tomb Raider game. Chronicles or something ? That one I never played.
Wow fantastic collection thanks for sharing, I really like you're mugs and would love to get some but I went through a phase of buying mugs from different rollercoasters I've been on, now there's no more room for new mugs 😂
Thank you so much for watching ☺️ haha I totally get the not having space and a growing mug collection! 🙈 that’s so cool that you collected them from rollercoasters 😄 I love a good rollercoaster myself 😊 my shelves are absolutely packed between the Tomb Raider mugs and I have a lot of Disney ones too 😂 I need to be careful about buying new ones 🙈🙈🙈
@@wicksley oh cool! I don’t think I’ve ever been on that one! 😃 My favourite for pure memories is probably The Pepsi Max Big One at Pleasure Beach Blackpool. We went there a lot when I was a kid. Also the Revolution in the same place is pretty cool because it reverses backwards around the loop. More recently I loved Revenge of the Mummy rollercoaster in Universal Studios in Orlando Florida. That is quite a scary ride and I love the 90s movie 😊 I used to love crazy rides but I think those days are over for me since I was recently diagnosed with severe vertigo 🙈
@@suzannetheraider I love that ride we went to Blackpool a lot as a kid too, they have some great rides and the new rollercoaster Icon is amazing too 😄 Wow I would love to visit the states and ride some of their crazy rides, I love the classic 90s movies too they have a different vibe the new movies can't seem to capture 😁 oh dear sorry to hear you have been recently diagnosed with severe vertigo 😟
