I NEED to do this simple vocal warmup if I'm going to have any success singing my high notes without strain! Free Voice Lessons: chrisliepe.com/free-your-voice/ #singer #vocalcoach #warmup #exercise
Man, you're a singing mad scientist 😂 I love your videos and how simple, easy to understand and original every concept is. Too bad I can't access your courses 😢.
ONE OF THE BEST Teacher on YT, I started singing learning myself and for 5-6 days I Resarched everything and try multiple technics and practices warmups, multiple tutorial from different people understaning the science behind it and playing wit all of my voice and registers. I think my impovement went up SOOO HIGH within 5-6 days. It's fff hard but so fun and it's getting better and easier, right now I'm enjoying playing with my voice, sing, and practice with sooo loud silly sounds and technics and it's working, I'm getting better easier and I love it. THANK YOU FOR ALL These Tutorials 🙏
Special thank you Chris bottom of my heart for always updating new fun fluid exercises! I found that Scat Jazz warm-ups REALLY help me relax for metal vocals if you're up to attempting it 🤣🤘
He has so many different ways to explain any one aspect of sing it would be useful if he made compilation videos on specific aspects of sing such as extension of range, power, support, mixed, ect. Cause even just listening to the different mental approaches to singing is useful it would be awesome to just go through all he has on certain topics at once
Glad you enjoy the many approaches! If you want a systematic, compilation approach that also includes guided practice and backing tracks and targeted exercises, check out my course Discover Your Voice! You can request an invite at chrisliepe.com
At 08:25 where you say "varying my compression" you couldn't have sounded closer to Dave Mustaine on Sweating Bullets if you tried! Thank you so much for all the content you're putting out, it's a genuine help.
Throwing you voice instead of trying to reach or push... it really is intense but not tensing! I think i got it. The only thing left for me is to find a good tone up in that register. Chris sounds amazing at those extreme pitches!
By far the most effective vocal warmup I've ever tried. Also, have you ever listened to Days of the New? The frontman Travis Meeks has a really unique voice, I think it may be cool for a vocal analysis! Anyways, Happy New year!
The depth on my voice changes throughout the day. On a good day I can drop down to Eb but then other times I'm just sharp of the E note that's being done in the first part of this demo. I do have a reasonable falsetto/head voice, though which is fine if I wanna blast out the Darkness "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" on Karaoke or the high part of Bohemian Rhapsody (I was aware of that song before Wayne's World! :) ) but I'd like to improve consistency if possible. I've just signed up to the course, too ;)
chris can you make a reaction/analysis of keaton pierce? he was the singer for '' too close to touch'' he had amazing vocals, and a very unique style, look up for songs like '' sympathy'' or ''before i cave in'' .... even noah from bad omens did a tribute for him when he passed, they were close friends.
I love this you really are a musical genius, could you react to hansel by sodikken or people eater by the same artist? I really love this artist different characters...their songs sound very sweet on the outside but if you listen carefully they sound very controlling
Hello Chris! First, let me apologize for posting this comment under a couple of your videos but it's veeery important to me and I've been looking for an answer to this question for years and am inhumanly frustrated so I really wanted your attention 😅 I know that you usually don't take requests but could you make a video about what I think is a really important topic?: Early vs Late briding and how to make your mixed voice beefier? (I know that you made videos on how to make your mix beefier but it's not exactly what I'm talking about - I also mean tone wise) A perfect example of this is a song sang by two different vocalists of Iced Earth(notice the very obvious difference in tone when they sing "the blood is the life" - Barlow sings it much closer to how Chris Cornell would sing it and Stu Block seems to be using more of a Halford/Falsetto approach) This is the beefy one(Barlow): ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z_B5EfshvO0.htmlsi=XqBwnngp34ivQq7N And this is the weaker one(Block) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-so99F-1DbOk.htmlsi=hrjRH2CcWDXwapCw I don't think it solely comes down to their voice types as it is evident that Barlow puts in a lot more of his chest voice Almost like reaches down for it I also think that Cornell did it too hence his vocals had that "weight" that's very hard to replicate If you or anyone has any insight on how to do it please feel free to let me know Thank you
I want to learn how to manipulate mine. I want to sound sweet, then sound like I drank gravel. I want to work on my deeper range, cuz it hurts when I go deep. I'm a woman who sings high and low. As deep as Marilyn Manson. EDIT: I really miss that creepy voice in Sweet Dreams. He can't do it anymore. But I want to.
I have videos like what you are asking for in my course, Discover Your Voice. As well as dozens of other tracks and exercises. You can request an invite at Chrisliepe.com.
Should we do this as soon as we wake up or after a couple of hours? Cause I never know when I'm "allowed" to sing there is no right time to sing but I know your body needs time to wake up and I don't know how long to wait lol
I was always told in the morning to lightly warm up head voice first and then gradually move down because your pushing less air initially, so it's safer? I dunno?
Chris you have a video that is at least 3 years old that talks about "taking your foot offf the gas" -- not pushing so hard for higher notes. Anyway , do you know the one I mean and can you link it for me? It was a brilliant video.
I have one with Whitney Houston and Michael Jackson that I just released a couple weeks ago that talks exactly about the gas pedal in regards to high notes. Is that the one?
@@chrisliepe Thx for the reply Chris. No it wasnlt a video with anyone else. It was just you talking about not puching so hard to hit higher notes and just easing back. I kept that video for ages and now can't find it. It's from a few years ago.
Sometimes, after singing a while, I will lose the ability to hit my lower register notes and the resonance is gone in the lowest notes. How do I get that back?
Warming up correctly will help this not happen in the first place. Check any of my warm up videos and join my free course linked in the video description! :)
