They clearly don't know that there are other players than Modrić, Vida and Perišić...all the other players are between the ages of 21-32. Obviously there's Gvardiol (age 22), but people will be surprised by some of the other young Croatian talents like Marco Pašalić (age 21), Baturina (age 21), Stanišić (age 24) and Šutalo (age 24). And outside that you have plenty players in their prime like Kovačić, Brozović, Petković, the other Pašalić, Juranović, Sosa, Erlić, Livaković...etc. Livaković Stanišić Gvardiol Šutalo Sosa Kovačić Modrić Brozović Marco Pašalić Kramarić Perišić is gonna be a deadly 11 with depth.
It is funny how before every tournament the usual opinion tends to be that Croatia is either old or declining etc. Last year we finished top of Nations League A in front of France, losing to Spain in the finals on penalties and beating Netherlands in the semis in front of their audience. Yes the time is slowly taking over the likes of Modric and Perisic, but since then, Gvardiol and Kovacic went to M. City and became better players, Pasalic played a big role in Atalanta’s path to the finals (and they won it), Stanisic the same for Bayer that also played final and they were undefeated the whole season, Kramaric just scored hattrick against Bayern, Budimir was in top 5 strikers in La Liga this season and so on. But even without all of this, team spirit and pride our boys feel when playing for our nation lifts them up and makes them even so much better. So, I just wanted to say, I would not write us off yet, although, we like to be the underdogs and tend to play best when they underestimate us❤🤍❤️🤍
As a Romanian I am satisfied too, so called dark horses haven’t done well lately so I am somewhat glad everyone is saying we are not getting out of the group lol. Not a dig on you lads, you did really impress at the last Euros though so it is definitely possible for you to go on a run like that, I think predicting the past few international tournaments has been tough in general. By the way…it is theoretically possible that we face each other in the RO16 I just found out, all it takes is us coming 1st (I know, I know) and you 3rd (totally possible, that group could honestly go either way including Germany bombing it as they ve been known to do lately). Just imagine that happening, would be an absolutely insane match
@@dzsonathan3354 Update:Turns out that we played far better than I imagined and won the group by the skin of our teeth and Hungary did come 3rd with a last minute goal indeed but it wasn’t enough to qualify due to Portugal s B team losing vs Georgia which gave us Romanians the Netherlands instead of Slovenia (Romania vs Hungary would have required different 3rd place teams to go through in other groups apparently) so that sucked, either way it was a great tournament for us, less so for Hungary but it is what it is
I like these predictions man. The reason why is because you are doing what 75% of other predictors aren’t, going for upsets/underdogs. I’ve seen so many people just going for who has the “better team” or whoever is the “favorite”. You got my respect mate
@@edi0157 I mean they had a very hard group with the champions italy and switzerland who beat FRANCE. This time around only portugal is hard in the group, they can definitely progress, especially because they are basically home lol, the fans will make it hell for the opposition believe me.
@@hqs7853 Yeah but they had Wales too and even they beat them, can’t tell me Turkey wasn’t massively more hyped than them. And it was the way they played too, they showed absolutely nothing of that pre tournament hype, I remember being absolutely shocked that they were doing that badly, put me off of predicting them to do well from now on. International football has been wild lately so anything can happen though, Turkey to do well is definitely a fair opinion
He is speaking facts tho we never perform at big tournaments sadly, and we're super young, inconsistent, and lacking an out right CF plus no confidence in any specific keeper.
Every single tournament: “Croatia aren’t as good as they used to be. They are so old, they are ageing. I don’t see them going far.” 🤡🤡🤡🤡 When will people realise that Croatia should be taken seriously at every single tournament. Croatia go beyond what is on paper. It’s built into their blood to do well at tournaments, and if they don’t go far it’s either due to very bad luck or shit refereeing.
No, they should be taken seriously in world cups, but they're always awful in the euros. I think they've never won a knock-out round game in the euros.
@@iliboydebest325 It's time. In 2016 we faced the champs in Portugal (tough luck and we were the better side) and in 2020 we had a great game against Spain (which is our kryptonite). Croatia under Dalić can definitely do something in this tournament like win a ko phase game unless we run into France, Portugal or Spain in the round of 16 and I'm pretty sure some of these - maybe all of them - aren't possible due to how grouping works.
@@kristijanEX Definitely possible, I agree that they should be able to win a ko game. I just found the original comment ridiculous because he obviously knows nothing about Croatia's history in the euros. He just assumed it was the same as in the world cup.
I've been hearing that "Croatia squad is getting old" shtick since 2018 and they continue to prove everyone wrong, I think they will be top of the group
As a German, with all the history and rivalry England and Germany share, I think it's written in the stars for Harry Kane, the England captain currently playing in Germany, to win his first ever trophy and his country's first ever European Championship on German soil.
havent watched the video but seeing the comments, i think croatia will get to the quarter finals maximum and no further (unless they get a very easy draw)
Im french and i view england as our main threat. germany and portugal are also threatening but a level below england. The only reason why i consider france to be better than england is because of southgate, otherwise the teams are pretty even.
You’re living in the past, I bet you think Denmark will succeed too! Both teams that have hit their peak. You can see it in how they play, neither are the same team they were.
@@LukePingueveryone has been saying exactly that for Croatia since 2018, even before the 2018 World Cup. Why can’t you just accept the fact that they are a good team now and should be considered to go to the quarters at least for every tournament
@@LukePingu how is it an aging squad, in what way, we have so many young players its mindblowing?????but sure, underestimate us again for like the 6th time now, see what happens
As a Romanian, well, thanks for putting us 4th, the dark horse tag is a scary thing to get so there is a silver lining in people predicting you to do badly. On paper we should be 3rd or even 4th, yeah, but I truly feel like we can do something here, we did win our qualifying group undefeated after all. Was the football played on par with that? Not really. Did that also include a draw to Belarus and we almost gave away the win in the second? Sure. But since when is pretty football a requirement to doing well in international tournaments? Greece and Portugal didn’t and they won the damn thing. Call me crazy and biased, but I went Romania 1st, Ukraine 2nd, Slovakia 3rd and Belgium 4th (on pure WC meltdown alone, Courtois isn’t playing either but Casteels is a good keeper tbf) for our group. As for the other groups, I went Germany-Scotland-Hungary-Switzerland, Spain-Italy-Croatia-Albania and England-Serbia-Denmark (not qualifying)-Slovenia like you, then France-Netherlands-Austria-Poland (Poland never does well at international tournaments, yeah the 2022 WC was decent but that s about it, Austria is in form too), Portugal-Czech Republic-Georgia-Turkey (don’t flame me Turkish lads, this is for your own good to help you get rid of that “dark horse” tag. Seriously, Turkey was so damn bad at the last Euros it made me not want to predict them to do well ever again). Slovakia doesn’t qualify as a 3rd place, the others do. Then for the RO16 we have this: Spain-Austria, Germany-Serbia, Portugal-Croatia, Netherlands-Ukraine, Romania-Hungary (YES, this can actually happen as I was surprised to find out too. All it takes is us coming 1st ahead of Belgium and the others and Hungary being 3rd but qualifying. Talk about spice), France-Czech Republic, England-Georgia, Scotland-Italy. Quarters:Spain-Germany, Portugal-Netherlands, Romania-France(I couldn’t have us lose to Hungary even if they have been really good last Euros now can I?) and England-Italy. All huge teams and us lol, the slightly unorthodox path converging into something pretty orthodox. Semis:Spain-Netherlands (I don’t think Germany will go all the way really, was close to putting it down as a terrible tournament but they have gained back form and the home crowd will help. 2010 WC final reedited isnt it?) and France-England (I may be insane but I am not that insane, we aren’t beating France lol. 2022 WC quarters it is) Final:Spain vs England. Winner: England (been predicting England to win for 3 of the past 4 tournaments ngl, maybe I am finally right this time). To be fair this can go pretty much any way, international tournaments have been wild with the surprises lately
@@dariussalepetru6770 Daaa, imi aduc aminte cum de abia ne a batut Franta, am facut egal cu Elvetia doar ca sa pierdem cu Albania in pana mea. Hai Romania!

Very interesting to FINALLY see a prediction where Denmark doesn't meet Germany in the round of 16 and lose... We met Portugal this time... But still lost. Bro didn't even consider that match despite talking about all the upsets that could happen 😢
As soon as England play a half decent side in the knockouts they're done. The defence is awful and Southgate will get tactically outclassed by any half decent manager. It's not coming home lads
Croatia will win the cup haha too old my arse hahaha that's just sickening so Portugal is too old as well because Ronaldo and pepe is still there come on people wake the fup
Nahhh this is not right at all, especially the commentary...And, please, aging doesn't mean bad, Croatia can do really well in the competition. They're so underrated, please look at them and be realistic, they're not bad at all. Same for Belgium, sure last World cup was the worst ever and the team was not in a good place, BUT saying they're aging is just not knowing what you're talking about...Except a few older players that are still at the top like KDB and Lukaku (And Vertonghen for whom I will agree on the aging and not good anymore), the team is really young now, very few guys in the selection played at the last Euro. Some were only selected one or two times in the national team (And never for De Cuyper). Of course they're outsiders, they even said it themselves, but they are not the "aging" team from two years ago, this is a whole different chapters with really good players. Hungary beating Spain ? Wth hahaha I don't want France to win but you gotta admit England doesnt really have a chance against them, but I get it, I wish England would win.
i don't think Ukraine will beat Croatia too, but also i don't think the will be on the first place in the group Belgium would probably take first place, Ukraine is second
i am sure about 1 thing, no way penaldog will win euro, no matter how hard refs carry portugal so ronaldo don't cry portugal will loose in quarter or semi and he will cry, it's inevitable
Can you stop saying Croatia have old players, look at the squad before you talk. The only 2 old players in first squad are Modric and Vida. Bunch of young and new players which plays in best European clubs. Educate before talking
As romanian, I agree. We are one of the worst teams in the tournament on paper We should be 4th or 3rd, but eliminated in the group stage (no chance for 2nd) 😔 🇷🇴💛
Hungary is more favourite than Scotland i think Croatia always gets underrated but ends up being one of the best of the tournament. But i guess its ok to predict anything on group B I feel like Austria could be a suprise on the group D, even over Netherlands
I know these are fun videos, but comeone at least do some research. Belgium is ageing 😂😂 Croatia is ageing😂😂 Dude is making a 2024 prediction but is looking at 2018 roster lmao
Croatia stinks at euros, best finish is quarter final. They only get lucky at World Cup with penalties every knockout game. Bunch of old overrated plumbers 😂😂😂
thank you for putting Hungary in semifinal. I am Hungarian and I think we do well if all players are healthy. Greece won Euro2004, and today's Hungary is better than that Greece.
They beat Germany at Leipzig stadium two years ago and nearly beat them at the last euros at Allianz Arena but Germany scored a goal late to draw the game I think it was the 84th minute.
@@astanco1574England were far better than Italy at Wembley when they won 3-1. Italy played well in 1st half but England in the end had to much quality for them. Italy will always be a tough team to beat but if you can match there work rate, desire, and street wise mentality and have better quality you will win every time. If England didn't have as much quality then it would be a 50 50 game
Probably never gonna happen but you can't rule out France suffer an infamous exit from the Euros in Germany. France were after all knocked out of the 2002 WC despite being covered head to toe with stars like Fabian Bartez, Lilian Thuam, Patrick Viera, Thierry Henry, David Trazgeueit & of course Zidine Zidane. This included an humiliation defeat to debutans & fellow colony Senegal in the opening match, despite coming to the WC as favourites having won the previous finals in 1998 and the 2000 European Championship final although that required a golden goal by David Trazgeueit. Likewise France were sent packing from the 2010 WC along with Italy who both ironically played in the 2006 final.
@@Moz-f4s Alabas a big blow no doubt. But with sabitzer, Laimer, baumgartner in midfield it’s exciting. Got some experienced old heads in the squad too and I think the defence is pretty solid. Rangnicks got them setup perfectly and they’ve been playing really good football. I think they could get second in their group, they can beat the Dutch.
@@Rigg96 well I’ll be supporting Switzerland this tournament gf is from Liechtenstein so she said I get a choice between that and Austria 🤣 pretty much revoked my English passport 🤣
Austria won’t come last, they are playing some of the best football, they beat Germany and smashed Turkey 6-1. They could beat France, Netherlands and Poland. Poland weren’t good against Wales, it could have very easily been Wales qualifying and it should’ve been.
Im Hungarian and we are always in the same group with Germany in every tournament since the 2020 Euros😂 2020 Euro, 2022 nations league, 2024 euros, 2024 nations league
@@astanco1574 And how doeas Germany's money and political influence influence the quality of football they play. That is a weird thing to say. As a German I could see Hungary finisging above us but but why despitepolitical influence and money?

I think hungary will be what turkey will be, they had a good qualifying but against who, a horrible Serbia also Portugal look very good so a lot of uncertanty
I reckon Austria will top Dutch and Poland. It’s interesting how the sequence of the fixtures may just affect the performance of how the teams will do in the group stage
