this video is so nostalgic bc back in 2013, I used to watch this video like literally every night and now that I've gone back to it, I still remember every word she said here hahaha I also love her pamper night routine which I still do until now kshare
I scroll through the comments and see so many guys commenting about how girls look better without makeup, that they hate when girls wear it, etc... all I can say to that is, its a good thing your opinion on our makeup doesn't matter.
You're absolutely right. The suffragettes threw themselves under race horses and suffered force-feeding so that the women that came after them could have the right to paint themselves up like grotesque mannequins using hugely overpriced chemicals.
***** yep! you're exactly right! women have the right to decide whether or not they want to purchase things to put on their face. women are beautiful with or without makeup, so whether they want to wear it is up to them. the only grotesque person here is you. :)
Guys!! Girls don't wear makeup to impress you they were it to have more confidence and to enhance their beauty. Zoe is beautiful with or without make up just like any other girl in the world.
Zoe actually wears a lot of make up that I don't think she needs. I noticed that as soon as she put her concealer on, she just looked as beautiful as always and needed nothing more :)
Ikr! It just doesn't make sense at all, and btw boys tend to have much more acne than girls and still they are judging us over it. Well I refuse to wear foundation /concealer to cover the few pimples that I have to make myself look more attractive. Natural is way better for your skin anyway xx
Shes a beauty guru, who would want to know whats in her fridge? Only (mostly) cookers or bakers may do a whats in my fridge video because since they are known for baking, you'd obviously wanna know whats in their fridge.
I love you darling! But I truthfully couldn't do this every day! Half way through I had to pause and just take it all in. Wow! :). Add this to your hair tutorials and how long does it take to get ready? I've been looking up tutorials this week, but it's shocking how complicated even the "no makeup/everyday routine" routines are... it's a bit... discouraging :/. So many brushes, so much money, so much time and artistry... I don't have time every day for anything like this. Mascara, naff foundation, lipstick - go! :D. You look stunning of course (but also great to see you all natural too!) - and you do have a talent for this! I paint up, you make up :D x
Even so, it's not a simplistic routine! Surely you'd think that the daily routine makeup would be simple... not just in outcome, but in the technique to achieve it. Daily for me is the absolute basics, I haven't the time or the money to do the above. Saying all that, it is interesting to see what others do. If that is what Zoella does, then good for her! It just surprised me, that's all! :D x
Without eye makeup, just foundation/concealer you have a really really FRESH face! Reminds of Kate Moss when she was really young doing editorial work! I'm so jealous, and your eye circles really aren't bad at all x
Omg..you're like the most beautiful thing that has ever walked on this planet, both with and without make-up. it sounds rude, but im kinda glad that you're skin isn't perfect, because it makes me feel so much better... Holy moly you're beautiful
Zara Gleave from what i see your eyebrows are already perfect!! :) but dont over-pluck just pluck the hair thats growing out of the eyebrow area. and if you dont need to fill them in, you can use an eyebrow gel that holds them in place all day
Idon't see why you feel so self-conscious without makeup. You look so naturally beautiful ... I'm just a mess (I've never worn make-up because the one time I did, I got bullied so badly because I did it wrong). You're BEAUTIFUL xx
Watching this back and it's amazing to see how confident Zoe seems to be on camera now (on her vlog channel) without makeup! It think it's such a good thing to show that people can look amazing and pretty with or without makeup and that each person should be confident whether they have lots of makeup or none at all and this is just one of the reasons I love Zoe :(
My makeup routine: Roll out of bed, look like a zombie, and go to school that way. But watching other people do makeup is really nice, i just don't have any talent in that department.
Mira Cruz no she doesn't, watch her vlogs. She wears makeup on a daily basis unless she is just pooping out quickly in which case she will wear concealer
I hate being a guy. I just wish I could wear makeup, do my nails, wear cute rings, bracelets and watches, and do my hair. Too bad I'm bound to male spectrum of fashion; a shirt, jeans, sneakers and a button down. Maybe a bit of jazz on the hair. Sucks ass.
screw the male spectrum. Put on your makeup, get yourself a manicure, go and buy up the jewelry counter. You will look 10 out of 10 better than everyone else.
not to be rude but i thought this was sarcasm. being a girl is expensive and its about five times harder. its harder to develop a style, fit in at school, do your makeup (and be satisfied with the way it looks) ugh not fun.
Yes, and men have to be the one to pay bills, pay rent, work for the food and manage the house. They are held at even a higher standard in society, so doing something that seems rather off will automatically give you the weird eye and the title of "faggot" or "gay" - not only by men, but by women as well. There's a saying that goes like this: "A woman can wear basketball shorts, however, a man can't wear short-shorts." They can, however, it will automatically look off and misplaced. Do not get me wrong, women are quite hard workers. I'm a proud feminist. You just simply can't deny the fact that in society, all women really need to do is look pretty. Maybe stay at home and tend the house. While us men are fighting wars, you women are practically at home all cozy. It's just the way things are. A gay man will be more frowned upon than a lesbian.
*HOLY SHIZ this is the FIRST make up tutorial vid ive watch and i DONT wear make up, unlike most girls, and i always assumed that make up is a 1-2 minute thing: cream eyeliner lipstick DONE. but WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWW O_O*
Without makeup her blue eyes look bigger she kinda looks prettier. God knows what he was doing when he made you so that's why most girls look prettier without makeup lol.
Maybe do a prom make-up tutorial?? I have prom next year and i would love to take some inspiration from a prom make-up tutorial. I'd come back to this next year when practising my make-up for prom obvs... love you zoeeeeeeee xx
For all the girls who are sensitive about dark bags under your eyes!: If anyone says something related to them just say; The bags under my eyes are designer!
Just a guy strolling through. I don't mean to offend or bring hate to anyone but a lot of people in the comments are claiming they don't wear makeup for a guys approval. Which is false (sorta) The reason you wear makeup isn't for yourself, it helps you feel more confident, why? because you feel more socially acceptable if you please others around you, yes it doesn't have to be a guy, but you aren't putting makeup on for your own enjoyment, unless you actually enjoy wasting time to apply the makeup and may possibly want a career in makeup. As i stated at the beginning, i don't mean to offend anyone and if you feel like disliking this, may i ask why? My logic is completely fine and if you can truly, deep down say to yourself that you can go into public without makeup and still feel confident then i am proud of you, natural looking girls can be extremely attractive.
littlebro11 Hello there. I will try to answer your question the best that I possibly can. Whenever boys ask me this the best way I can get them to understand is to put in these terms. Why do boys get haircuts? why do they grow beards or why do they buy designer clothes? well the reasons can vary, some boys want to look 'good', some enjoy just experimenting with different styles of fashion. Same goes for girls and makeup, I can understand how looking at it from a more masculine perspective can make the idea of putting products on your face appear to be 'wasteful' but really it can be fun and we don't consider it to be a 'waste of time'. And no its not always for social approval, when little girls play with their mothers makeup they aren't doing it so they can win approval from other children (in fact they usually do it in they privacy of their own home), they are doing it because they are enjoying seeing how different colours and make up brands can feel and look on their face, the same rule applies when a woman grows older. I, myself, have never understood the fascination with football, I don't find the sport as entertaining as some of my male counterparts, to me all I see is a group of men chasing a ball around on a long stretch of grass, whereas male relatives or friends of mine see it as a sport that requires talent and find the whole game enticing, but different people have varied interests. It's hard for me to explain because I think it might be hard for you to understand (which is fine, as its not a industry or practice that your familiar with) and I don't doubt some girls do wear makeup to achieve societal approval. But there are some of us, who wear makeup simply because its fun and feminine and we enjoy experimenting with different brands and types of colours. I am mostly content with my natural appearance so I have never felt a strong urge to cake myself with loads of makeup but sometimes I do dabble in makeup because I enjoy being girly. I hope this helps :) if you have any other questions regarding this topic I will try to answer them as best I can.
Pink Fawn That's a very good point you have raised about children. I do still believe that most people do it out of their own choice to try to "Fit into" society and be more socially acceptable. I've never been into football myself American or British, but i do believe the adrenaline and fitness you gain through doing such activities makes it all the more worthwhile where as with makeup it just seems a waste of time. In all fairness though, putting on makeup does seem like something that shouldn't be, but it adapted as people wanted to look richer and become more like a queenly figure (Much like in history) but i can understand people doing it purely for enjoyment as it is the same reason i find gaming or watching TV enjoyable, we have grown to adapt to it and make it something we see as a positive. Now i'm just wondering why women wear makeup to make themselves hide their insecurities and improve the base. But men still don't apply tribal warpaint/marks to make themselves seem more assertive and dominant. Quite strange but i'm not psychologist and historian so how could i know why :D I greatly appreciate your response, and i can see that we both understand each others points, and now i know more on this topic. So pleasure talking to you.
In my opinion most girls wear makeup to be more confident and it's fun. There are some girls that want attention or wear makeup for boys. I wear makeup (not a lot) because it's fun to wear and experiment with different looks. Girls also wear makeup to reveal their personality. other things that reveal a girls personality is how much makeup she wears, how the styles her hair, and what type of clothing she wears. I know I don't have a lot to say but just in case this helps.
Although most of that is true and people do it for fun, the confidence part is exactly what i'm on about. Why does it give people more confidence? Because they believe people will judge them on the way they look, and they are looking for approval so they pretty up their face. It may be because they want the attention from men/women (like i was saying) or it could be to fit in with other women around them.
Hi Zoë I have a bronzer tip for you so if you get your brush and move it in a three motion around your face (form your forehead to your cheek bone and then your chin) you should get the best results. Just said I'd let you know I love you! 💗
Adorable! This is my first visit to your channel. Well done! Thanks for the "my technique is not the only way" disclaimer. I was looking for beauty blogs for brunettes and that's how I found this one.
