Update info: You can now hunt deer as well and wolves also roam the world now (you can get pelts from them that are worth money to traders.) There are also now wells dotting the map, usually one or more in most villages, you can use these to fill a water container (plastic bottles, big plastic bottles, and military canteens) which makes water management much better, although the wells can run dry if used too often in a short period by a lot of players. Fish are also now available.
The review on steam that made me buy the game was as follows: DayZ for people that have to work. It's 100% this. I hop on for an hour and half and can loot towards a full stash, do missions or have multiple fire fights or work on my base within that span of time and when I log off, all my stuff is safe.
My biggest problem with the game was lack of content and meaningful updates. I bought the game when it launched and its STILL almost exactly the same as it was over a year ago.
@@SpicyBeanDip Unfortunately, I think the game will end up dying before any real content gets dropped. I just don't think they have a direction for the game and that's a killer when you're an Indie dev.
I think can be easy to add simple contents to bring something that make you keep going on such simple tasks about exploring areas, taking some objects, open some doors, just like others game like this. I know that there is airdrop, missions and convoys but something more like small tasks. I know is out of context but if you have time and 10 or max 20$ to spend i suggest to you to try zero sievert. I know is pixel art and top down but is a god damn pretty good gem, is single player for now but give you even daily quests and all maps are random generated. You can customize weapons as you want ( change barrels, change stocks, add attachment ) and every weapon have their own feeling and when you customize the feeling change a lot, is realistic a couple of hit and you are gone. Stuff you can carry away to safe zone still and if you die in the next run the stuff you chose to do the run still.

There is coming updates: Cars, islands,New weapons, More base building materials and Map turns largerer and more coming. Lets hope that they update game soon!
That respawn system is actually very new as of their last update I think. Or the one before. The respawn used to be autistic, but not the high functioning kind. It used to have a huge red no go zone around it and you'd have to spawn upwards of 2-3km from your body. If you died in the south, it could be even further.
play with somebody as a teammate or in a server with max 3 ppl for group. This game as soloplayer is so hard, i mean you can play it but you won't be able to loot top tier gear
I'm almost always a solo player, and i'm able to, so why can't anybody else? I do admit it has a learning curve to get a feeling for the game, but point being you don't require teammates
@@KASU420 did you epic mission solo? Or played any server with 30+? Of course you can do Something as solo, but get a case with 30+player is hard, almost impossible without a team
@@satu4fun515 Agree...as a Solo Player it's near impossible to do anything beyond Medium Missions at least for me. I don't even bother with anything higher, the case, etc. I avoid most PvP due to being outnumbered and the ability for a squad to quickly get back to prolong the fight beyond my means. Love the concept of the game but I don't have friends that play it for me to enjoy anything but a very limited experience.
The game has made me beyond angry after getting my base raided and losing everything for the third time after grinding so much and really securing my base with so many electronic locks, it just doesn't work.
I think the gun update and food/drink removal makes the game better tho, Keeping guns on max repair is ez and even if ur t3 u might have to farm drinks and food now and not just get the whole kit from sfz
You missed the real deadside. Before they added a ton of recoil and made the ai super aim bots. And where food and drink was easier to get and where armour was easier to buy. It’s awful now lol
theyve added food, drink, armor and alot more back to the trader in the 0.5 update. ive been playing the airboat update on the PTS and its really fun; i think many people will try the game again
I'd hope a game still in EA would be bad compared to a game that's been around for a decade based off a mod that existed even further back. At least think about what you're comparing before wasting time doing so. One thing I'll take over DayZ in Deadside is actual bandits versus tired/dull zombies.
Dam! The reason I looking into this game is because of Scum Rubber banding internet flow! Love the game but that ruins it. So this game is just as bad! Crap! Sad Times
full servers is when the rubberbanding is an issue, once pop starts hitting 40+. supposedly the next update is going to help address this issue. its a shame because full servers are a blast too
