I qualified fifteen years ago, just planning to transition now, not because I believe you should wait (not at all!), life outside nursing kept me from braving the step!

Hi chloe, am a student adult nurse now in second year but really want to change to mental health immediately once I qualify, would that transi6me to band 6 of I qualify as a mental health nurse?

No, you would need to do another year at uni, on completion of your adult nursing - at the very least - to become a band 5 mental health nurse. You can’t just transition through the specialities.
