Hi Everyone, after being on Ozempic for almost a year and Metformin prior to that I thought I'd share my experiences with both medications in an ASMR story type fashion. It's a little different, I hope you like it.

Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body (Wikipedia). My channel is for ASMR/relaxation purposes.

So interesting, Debbie! I always remember I met your channel about 5 or 6 years ago thanks to a Chanel blush swatch I was searching for. When I found out you mixed makeup with ASMR I fell in love instantly. No matter the subject, I always appreciate all of your videos since you got an angel voice, the only one that relaxes me and can put me to sleep. I'm sure with different types of videos we can make this family even bigger each time. Thank you so much 💟

I totally mixed it up today, I hope it still hits the mark. A lot of times I like informational type videos that give me tingles, thought I'd do that here. I did start with nail polish though 🤣❤️

What a pleasant surprise! I usually log on to experience your nail polish videos which are pure bliss. Love getting this information via your particular ASMR format. I was recently diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes myself and am scouring the web, literature, books and other sources about where to go from here. My doctor and I agreed that I will try lifestyle changes for 6 months prior to re-evaluation. Thank you for sharing your experience with these two medications. And yes, in our culture, fat is the bad guy and sugar/carbs are associated with love and comfort. A very difficult kind of conditioning to overcome. But I’m trying. Good for you!! Your anecdotal evidence is informative and inspiring. Keep on keeping on ❤

I've had to give up all processed food and sugar (even fruit, sadly) due to a different health condition. I wish I'd known years ago how important it is to look after your gut. Hope you continue healing well, Debbie 💚

Loved the rawness of this one. I'm pre diabetic, and luckily was able to catch it before it became legit. Not an easy thing to do, as I'm a sugar addicted. My mom had type 2 diabetes as well, after she got cancer, she changed her diet 100%, she was so good she reversed her diabetes (it can happen). She was able to live for 10 years, even when only given months. Sadly she passed away last year, but the way she changed her health is truly inspiring, she thrived and worked so hard even sick. So take care of your health, it's worth it. Love your videos! You're my favorite l! The amount of hours I watch you are uncanny 🤣

It's important for us to share what works medically❤️ I have fibromyalgia and I have found a lot of relief from cymbalta and Lyrica together. It took years to find what worked. Lifestyle change as well. Yay for feeling better and more like our true self💖 Blessings 🦄

My husband is a T2 diabetic. When he was first diagnosed, his A1C was over 10. MD started him on Glipizide twice a day, with Metformin XR 1000mg every pm (the XR helped him stop having diarrhea). Brought his A1C down to something like 7.8. He was still struggling after that point with his sugars sometimes going up over 200. Last spring his doctor started him on Ozempic injection 0.5 mg (took him off Glipizide), more significant dietary changes as well-the first month on it he definitely had some issues with it-significant nausea day 2-3 after each weekly injection which thankfully his doctor gave him some Zofran to help. After 2 months on it, the symptoms lessened. After 6 months on it, his A1C came down to 6.6 or around there. He had to stop the ozempic for about 3 months this fall after having significant abdominal surgery and just restarted about 2 months ago. Same symptoms as when he first started, which thankfully are starting to lessen again. We are having a HUGE problem actually getting his prescription filled. This last month it took 2 weeks to get his prescription, this month we are almost at a 2 week wait again and his last injection is due tomorrow so hopefully we can get it this week or he will miss his next injection. Overall he has lost about 30-35 pounds in less than a year and his BGMs are so much better! I just hope we can continue to get his medication. I work with a woman who is overweight, not a diabetic, and her doctor prescribed it for her for weight loss and don't get me wrong, I know it's helping her lose weight (she also has a bad knee and back and weight loss will help with this for her) but I just wish production would be increased so those that need it for diabetes do not have to wait to get their prescription since it's being used for diabetes and just weight loss for people. Glad it's working for you as well! Diabetes sucks lol

One of the most informative and relaxing videos I’ve seen in… ever! The hype of this particular medication blown up for weight loss has been almost strange yet predictable. I experienced rapid weight gain about 2 years ago after prescribed Seroquel. (60 lbs in 1 year). One of my doctors prescribed Metformin to prevent me (to my shock) from developing diabetes. Since then I’ve adjusted my diet to essentially what you said and it’s helped me lose some of what I gained. Now I’m ramping up to working out how I used to. I subscribed to stitch fix to help me get more confidence back in the clothes I wear. Of course I want to feel like my regular self again, but more importantly things like not having my knees hurting and putting shoes on easier are paramount. Thank you! Congratulations on your progress 🥰

Hearing people talk about their positive metformin experiences is comforting. Trying to get on it (for PCOS that's caused rapid weight gain) and it's easy to only see the bad stories 😅

I did well with Metformin for a long time and know others who can tolerate it, I hope it's easy on your GI track!! The XR version (extended release) is better, and it can help if you take it with food.

One injection every week. I haven't noticed much results with it an feel like total 🤬 most days and it's been 6 months. I've been thinking about asking my Dr. About the Ozempic injection. I gained weight as a result of a Fibromyalgia medication side effect and due to late-diagnosed issues with my heart. Those heart anomalies caused me to become deconditioned, I had no strength or energy to exercise. The endocrinologist I saw wanted to prescribe a med that would cause me to drop weight but, I felt this wasn't going to work for me. 1. My appetite has been poor for years. I eat to keep my sugar stable and to not puke from taking my daily meds on an empty stomach. Therefore any weight loss med meant to suppress my appetite would cause me to eat even less; 2. While it isn't common, I tend to be hypoglycemic. Most cases of hypoglycemia are a result of diabetics who misjudge how much insulin to take and then their sugar drops too low. I, on the other hand, have bouts of low sugar if I wait too long to eat or if I stupidly eat dessert. That momentary jump in blood sugar causes my pancreas to release a lot of insulin. And my sugar then falls too much. My best friend is a type 1 diabetic. We've joked that if there was a way to take my excess insulin and give it to her, we both might be healthy.

I am a Type 2 diabetic and was diagnosed last year. I take 500 mg of metformin twice a day and eat a high fat, high protein, keto diet. My AIC is now at 6.2, which is a pre-diabetic range. I have lost 50 pounds, but I'm the weird diabetic who experienced unexplained weight loss as a symptom. Has Ozempic lowered your AIC? That's my biggest question. I no longer need to lose weight. My BMI is perfect. But, I'd like to get my AIC down to normal and reverse it, if possible. I'm very happy for you that you found a medication that worls. I'm sorry you have T2D. It is NOT fun.

Unexplained weightloss is a result of your body recognizing that your metabolic processes to provide energy for all cellular function is broken since your insulin resistance isn't resulting in insulin moving your glucose into the cell. Your body goes into a new metabolic state called gluconeogenesis. Your body starts to convert protein into glucose. All protein... dietary, musculoskeletal and organ protein.

Hi Debbie thank you for sharing. I was borderline diabetic and was taking Jardiance for a year now. My diabetes has gotten worse since I have gained weight. I was prescribed Ozempic but because there is a shortage I have to wait and continue taking Jardiance. I have heard people who are not diabetic including celebrities are taking Ozempic just for weight loss.

I’m at high risk of developing diabetes due to genetics. I had pregnancy related diabetes in both my pregnancies. I know it’s coming. I also have huge issues with food that I’m only now beginning to understand and I’m overweight. I’m very interested in wegovy because I think it could help me lose some weight and thus become healthier and more in control of my body BEFORE I develop diabetes. I don’t know. A lot is happening right now and it’s not a top priority, but at some point I might have a talk with my doctor.
