I would say this video states the obvious but at least this guy had the courage to jump in feet first and learn. Good job on the video, it's realistic.
Thanks for getting ideas flowing! I’m looking at getting a 350z and I want to keep up with my my friends who own a ws6 and an 1997 m3, and setting up a turbo was my first idea. Thank you!
Fuck that always go forged internals on the DEs! 370s are where it’s at.. running 700hp on stock block an internals..... but I love the DEs an HRs! DEs are fun to drive.
I made my rear mount kit around $1100 for everything, tuning was $850 and I’m in the process of making a mid mount kit that’ll be a good alternative of the BP kit. I know most people hate eBay cheap shit etc but my setup runs good no issues 400 wheel easy which is the most id go on stock block anyways, maybe 450 on rev up, it’s the torque you need to watch. I’d say e85 is essential too
@@nicT9 I have a few videos on my channel it's pretty simple I haven't hit the 400 whp mark yet because I need a better clutch, but here's a link; there are exact details in the description: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OXVWJcQJy8U.html&ab_channel=DennyBalance
this is why you don’t push 400 on a stock de…i have a rear mount setup rn with a comp turbo running 20psi pushing only 350whp which is plenty fun and SAFE. would not recommend any more power until you beef up your head.
Lmk if it’s still holding up , I’m interested in buying a turbo but be stock at the moment than rebuild my internals later and as well you daily it or just weekends ? Or whatever you do lol
you mentioned that you blew the engine can you be if you don't mind more specific as to what you blew. Spun run, head gasket, piston ringland, transmission. thanks. I am building a turbo vq35de engine. I managed to get 450whp out of my stock eclipse cracked the ringland at 500whp. I built the engine and currently the car made 809whp 607ft tq. My goal for the g35 is 600whp. I tuned and build my own cars. thanks for the video and your honesty a lot of guys are to proud to admit they blew and engine. I blew a few myself until I figured out the deal with forced induction. I have built several dsm engine all currently over 500whp. Thanks.
+Kelvin Williams yes made a lot of vids talking about my plans and I followed through motor is built now working through some bugs still but almost there
@@brokencarzgarage945 yes the rods on the DEs are as skinny as ones you find in 90s civics . Rod Bearings also seem to be another point of concern on any VQ engine
great information even though I know everything you explained now, I wish someone would have made some videos like yours when I started learning on the vq35de instead of improvising from other peoples forums because they can be silly sometimes.
CarTech...thanks a lot Man for giving the heads up. Inspired doing the same on my 2004. Btw, is your the HR or DE...? please comment...already subscribed! Thanks again
Hate to say it I love z’s I love vq’s to a degree but boosted vq’s are a fucking money pit junkyard 5.3 eBay turbo is the way to go for “cheap” power (do research before u @ me)
He said he put less than 50k overall. So thats a good figure to put in mind. but he's pushing 900s with 170 mile per hour half mile. Would be much cheaper if you aim 600 hp
Noob not using larger charge pipe to use stock maf lol. They're scamming people with GT maf. The tune blew it up and not power limit. Either the cylinder went big badda boom or you had too much tq. 400 ft lb is definitely the limit. Make the power up top on stock block. Any detonation is gonna ruin em. I wouldn't even bother without E85.
Car Tech...is it possible you know or hear of anyone from RU-vid, converting automatic transmission to manual on the VQ33. Your comment is sincerely appreciated it, thank you
VQ33 is when you take the stronger internals out of the VQ30DET and swap them into the trashcan VQ35DE, essentially de-stroking it. But I highly doubt that's what Sprydo7 was talking about...
