I've been getting laser hair removal for the past two years on my face. Its a lot better than what it used to be cause you know them Indian genes are super strong, but the hair still comes back, lot thinner and a lot less darker. If I could talk to my younger self I would tell her stop messing with your peach fuzz, it really isn't that big of a deal. Love you and your videos! Keep doing it big for us brown girls!

I have done full face laser 6 years ago, around 12 to 14 sessions...i did get horrible scars, which would take few days to heal..but eventually those thick and coarse hair on chin and neck area were removed completely....but dermatologist did mention they might comeback due to harmonal changes....very recently I started noticing 3 to 4 hair on the neck.my doc said not to bother it could be due to harmonal changes

Please continue to make these amazing videos, you are greatly appreciated! Love you mucho

Awww, girl I totally feel you! I am hairy too. This sounds crazy but I literally do everything in the book to deal with my facial hair. I bleach my forehead and under my eyebrow, I shave my cheekbones, I epilate the sides of my face and chin and last but not least, I thread my mustache. The only thing I am missing is wax and that hair removing cream I hate lolo I might try laser hair removal when I am older but not right now.

I too am a hairy AF Indian women. I did laser hair removal on my face 10+ years ago and the only part of my face where the hair didn't come back was my side burns and the baby hairs at the top of my forehead. Everything else (cheeks, lip, chin) came back. I've done everything - waxing, threading, creams, etc etc... I find the best hair removal method for my face is shaving. I use a small face shaver for my entire face. Not only does if get rid of the hair, it's a great exfoliater. It's quick, easy, and you don't need to wait around to make a threading appointment.

I love that you keep it real! I had hair on my chin and I did laser hair removal there and it was great! I ended up doing full body later on. I needed more treatments, but I have a lot less hair than I did prior to doing the treatment and I'm so happy with the result! You don't even look like you have facial hair btw

I am hairy as hellllllllll and the same skin colour. I got laser hair removal last year on my face and neck and both times I got burnt. Right after the treatment there were areas of my face and neck that were in unbearable pain but the laser tech said it must've been because I had thicker/more hair in that area and to not worry because it'll subside. Fast forward to the next day, I woke up with soar scabs on my face and neck, I looked like I had been in an accident. I told the tech and she said that it might be my skin reacting to laser for the first time and it shouldn't be as bad the second time but obviously she was wrong. I had burns just as bad the second time and I stopped laser after that. My scars on my face mostly healed but on my neck they didn't. It's a bummer as I'm fairly young (19) and I don't know how long I'll have to go around with shitty scarred skin. Also I'm still hairy and now have to wax which makes my skin break out so it's just a lose lose situation 😩😩😩😩

Hi, I'm mixed,Indian and a South African mix, so i am a mid to dark tone. I Tried laser about 10 yrs back and after the 1st treatment my face from 1 ear all the way under my chin to the other ear was seriously burnt. The skin was falling of my face like a burn victim and it was very painful,thankfully at the time i worked with a group of Dr's and nurses that helped to remove the skin that was falling off,my face was pink just like a burn victim. It took over a yr but my pigmentation finally started to come back but i still have some scarring under my chin and i still have hair. I was considering trying hair removal again in August since this time around i would be doing it in the US,but i will research it better this time around.
@Nikki-zh3sk
@Nikki-zh3sk 7 лет назад
ooh no, i feel the pain hun! Definitely do extensive research as you have waited so long to try again! I heard there are other variations of laser hair removal which are less risky for darker skin tones, but these treatments aren't "permanent" like laser; instead they elongate growth time x
@Nikki-zh3sk
@Nikki-zh3sk 7 лет назад
Loll no, I'm from the UK! Waxing is the quickest and least painful method as my face is beyond hairy 😭
@NDBit
@NDBit 7 лет назад
I would not recommend it in the long run, not least because of the damage it causes to the elasticity of your skin. Have you tried good old bleach, or any other stuff?

I'm 47 and was on steroids for 18 years, so I'm hairy! My chin is my Achilles heel!! And my skin is super thin because of the steroids, so waxing is out. I'm at a loss 😞

I had laser hair removal on my upper leg and extended bikini, which was a little bit in to where the underwear would be. It hurt so much!!! It felt like a sharp sting every time she zapped me. But, there is hardly or no hair growth on my upper leg. My extended bikini area has less hair as well. I do still have ingrown hair on my thighs and I am working to get rid of that now. I got laser hair removal like ten years ago.

Hi Deepica! I'm also a Hairy AF Indian woman and have been waxing/threading since I was 11 (!!) and lasering since I was 17. I hated the black spots and ingrown hairs I used to get with shaving and waxing. I'm 30 now so it's been a long time! I have thick dark hair on very fair skin, so lasering is "supposed" to be perfect for me. My experience: worked beautifully on my legs! I shave like once every two months and even that's just like very thin and sparse. Everywhere else it's been the 80/20 rule. The hair growth is definitely less and thinner, the pores aren't visible anymore and I don't get ingrown hairs, but the hair itself isn't not gone by any means. I maintain it (go in twice a year to do the whole body/face) and then thread and sugar otherwise. 💕

This was a video I def needed! As another hairy Indian woman, I've been thinking about getting laser hair removal but I get hyperpigmentation that lasts for forever. Plus using tretinoin cream has made everything except threading impossible on my sensitive skin. Thank you for such an honest video and one that relates to all darker skinned girls. #snapfam

I use the tinkle eyebrow razors and literally "shave" my face! It works like a charm, and is easy and painfree. Never had an issue with the dark "peach" fuzz on my face growing back thicker! My skin is smooth af every single time!

Hi! I totally understand the laser scaring issue. My skin is mid toned, and I am also very prone to scaring and pigmentation. I got those cryo circle pigmentations on my upper arms, so they couldn't continue the treatment. I opted to move my treatment to my legs and sometimes I got superficial burns and cryo circles that eventually disappeared. Its frustrating because I want to do my face, but I know I will pigment and so for now I live with a hairy face, until a better removal method comes along.

Bharathi Rajendran research the nd yag laser for darker skin. Honestly, she shouldn't have gotten burnt at all. But the diode laser she is using is similar to ipl and that shit does NOT work. I Hope it really works for her because every person out there that have tried diode laser on thick stubborn hair. It sadly came back after 6 months or so. Alexadrite laser and nd yag are the ones that has best long term results.

Hi Deepica! I absolutely love your videos and honestly they're a god send because there are soo many beauty products out there to try but being brown skinned, i've always felt limited in my color schemes for lipsticks and eyeshadows. you however taught me to overcome that and showed me that I can pull off anything and that skin color should not be a restriction (whether in makeup or conquering the world). I think you are so so inspiring! Being brown and from a traditional family, I thought the life of a Carrie Bradshaw is far out of reach but because of you I have learnt that it is not as far as i thought. You are amazing and you keep doing you. Rock on girl! P.S. Ive been wanting to get lasered for so long but there wasnt enough research i could do online on effects on brown skin! but because of you, even thats covered! THANK YOU!

I have been doing for a few years now, I found that on my face it didn't really work but on the rest of my body, it has been amazing and now I don't need to remove hair from my legs or underarms etc ever!! Just on the face I had like 12 sessions and tbh I stopped in December last year and all hair has come back, so it didn't work. Might just go back to bleaching - laser used was the Yag btw! It works best on super dark thick hairs like legs or bikini etc. Which it has!!! If anyone has any advice for facial hair, please hit me up!

Im darker than most of her clients so she takes it really easy and uses low levels so I dont burn. Struggled with laser hair removal and burns just like you on the face and would never do it again! However, one thing that I did do is Electrolysis and that's permanent hair removal on the face (unlike laser which is temporary). I have absolutely no hair on my face and it's the best decision I've made for it!! The heat dissipated from the electrolysis process actually renews the skin and got rid of all my acne breakouts scars from laser!

I have been getting laser hair removal on my underarms for quite some time now, and I feel like I have gotten 12+ treatments but I still have to go back every 3 months or so....do you think it's still worth at this point? Thanks for giving us an update! #snapfam

From what I understand you'll always have to go back for touch ups but if it's actually slown down I would do it!!! I want to do my under arms too!

I'm too scared to do laser hair removal but eventually I'll try it. But I'm so self conscious about the hair on my stomach (it's not thick or anything) and the hair on my lip. What I do is use Nair or pluck them usually I find that the easiest if your at a small price range. Hair has always been a hassle for me when it comes to my lip, eyebrows, and my stomach. I was thinking of trying NoNo but idk if it works well or not.
