P4K is not old, you are just young! 15 year old Arri Alexa beats any camera made today for image quality / narrative projects for sure! Having the P6k and the P4K for about 2 years, I recently sold the P4K because I feel the P6K has a better noise pattern and easier to make it look less like video. Its a great value for the money though. Now I need a backup P6K.
I thought the same thing lol. 4 years is 1/6 of your life where as it is 1/10 of my life so I get it. Perception of time changes as you get older for sure.
To me DaVinci Resolve full edition with life time updates is worth the $1200,(compared to buying Adobe Premiere and after effects) So the camera is basically for free :) Brilliant marketing ensuring longetivity!

NIce video! I've been looking to get a video camera and I love the quality of the 4k and money wise it's good! I shoot mainly analog camera's so I am used to manual focus, on the other hand, de S5ii sounds also very interesting! cost is double, regarding video quality, which one would be better?
I love both of them! Though it is twice the price I would say you get twice the camera with the S5II, because you get both photo and video capabilities plus really good auto features (really helpful if you ever have to hand the camera off to a beginner for any reason) the Black Magic's color sciences legendary but in my experience Panasonic's is about equal. Really just depends if you want to spend the money for the options or not.
They where $1295 when they where first released. I bought one back then, and just looked at my receipt. You can find used ones today for around $800, but most likely without Davinci, so you might as well get a new one if you want one, or a used one if you already have Davinci.
Nice video! I'm considering picking one up. You said this records raw to the t7 ssd ok? All of the forums say the T5, but the t7 is less expensive if it works. Thanks!
Good show Chap, very good presentation, If I were your media professor, would give a . My daughter just acquired the same camera, and I was going to get her a new computer for Davincini, what would you recommend?
It's the Viltrox .71 speed booster. It adapts the mft mount to canon ef and increase the light getting to the sensor. Forgot to mention it in the video!
Hey! I use use the small rig NPF plate with Powerextra NPF batteries. And most of the time I'm just using SanDisk SD cards since C.F. 2.0 is expensive and harder to buy now.
In the right hands, the BMPCC4k is better than the Sony FX30 or Lumix S5IIX. With experience comes the understanding that color science is more important than the size of the sensor.
@righteousbrother9970 yeah mark II is worth. I saw one used for 1700 on BH. For you, it can be perfect because you already invested in that ecosystem 😊. Also, i think you should try to underexpose image a bit. It's too bloomy and highlights are too much but it's just me. Great Video anyways 😁
@@dewankiscentsve got a couple of L Lenes already and really like them so it definitely would be good. Yeah the light was a little hot on this one, especially at 0:40 😅
