The store your work for sounds like complete chaos. I'm so sorry. The one I'm about to work for seems amazing. Great manager, and great coworkers. Awesome line of communication about duties and scheduling and what not. We get paid even just showing up for an hour to do onboarding and chat with the GM about what will be expected from us there on out. Now THAT is some good business!

Your store sounds amazing!! I think most others are good. Some of the girls I worked with had been at other locations in the past that they said were much better. I hope you love it😊❤️

Your Ulta sounds like hell lol. The one I worked for had kind workers , organized , we got our gratis when we were supposed to. I loved it.

Sounds like the Ulta you were at is very unprofessional. We get paid for our on boarding. I’ve been at 2 locations and both pays new employees

Lol that sounds like such a mess! I got hired a few days ago and yesterday went for the onboarding process. I start tmrw at six am for my first day before opening. The dress code is definitely a moment of confusion of me. But whatever. And the clear bags and green dot process seems a bit much. But the pay was decent. They gave me the 13 I asked for and during on boarding they said 'congrats on your first raise' and gave me 13.50. I asked if that's typical entrance pay and they said, no its higher. So far so good. Everyone seemed nice enough so far. I'm used to a shit environment from working at Michaels crafts for two years until Covid. At 9 and then 11 dollars. The pay was literal slavery and it was very hectic. No training. Disorganized. I'm hopeful for this job so far but I won't hold my breath. They only scheduled me two to three short mornings a week which is basically nothing but they warned me about that before hiring and it is off season for retail. I'll get more hours in busier season and once I've shown them I'm not a complete idiot and work hard.

That sounds very good!! I think they give everyone few hours until they are comfortable with their position then they’ll schedule you more. I hope you enjoy it there😊❤️

Ulta thinks so!! I live in a low income area with cheap living expenses so not as if could be in some areas but I still couldn't live off that.

I had my interview and the hiring manager told me the store manager was out in a conference meeting and that she would come back Friday but did not receive a call back:( should I just let it go? Lol

I would call and say you haven't heard back. Most places will contact you to either give you an offer or to tell you they choose another candidate. Sometimes it helps to say you need to know their offer because you are making your decision between a few other offers.

I just got a call but I wasn’t expecting it to be Ulta and I was just so excited I completely forgot the girls name that’s supposed to interview me, what do I do?

You will do fine! Just tell someone at the register that you have an interview and they’ll already be expecting you. They should be able to tell you who it’s with. Good luck! You’ll be amazing!

Wow Unbelievable, the Ulta You worked at sound unorganized and a total shit show lol. The One I work at is organized, professional and a fun environment. For starters the managers are amazing, we def get paid for on boarding and we def get gratis and a regular basic. our schedule are in 3weeks prior and you also have access to it through a work app. Ive also started seasonal and was asked to stay I've also got promoted to a lead cashier less then 5 months. I guess different locations and states are different. im sorry your experience was bad. hope all is well.

This is soo funny tampons and shoes on the floor. I had an interview i didnt go i watched videos everyone had negative things to say and i just had a feeling it wasnt for me.

Hi Bailey. Could I please ask you a question, I am trying to find someone to talk to about my situation. First off hello in Kari. I would like to ask you, did you get training one skincare products? For example like The Ordinery or something like that, you know very chemical based products. Thank you for taking the time to read this 🙏😊

Thanks for your question Kari! There was no official training. Throughout working there you’re required to watch a few videos a month while on your break. You can choose from a lot of different videos about products or sales. From what I remember there was a skincare section of videos but the information wasn’t to in-depth. If you’re interested in skincare you can find so much info on RU-vid or from googling your questions. I’ve been making all my skincare products from scratch for years so going into the job I knew a ton about the different chemicals/ingredients but nothing about The Ordinary or any other brands!
