I'm thinking more and more quitting autographs , it simply is too much grief re : authenticity , esp with very expensive ones but sadly even obscure Star Wars extras are forged. Bill Murray is rare , nobody in their right mind would sell it cheap. Weaver charged like 100£ at LFCC last time , not cheap.
CoA is just documentation you bought it , nothing more , consentrate on the signature first. Its really hard to get a complete signed poster , for example I have only 2 Melrose signatures but still need like 6 more lol , it would take years to complete.
@@postersandstuff Yah, TWD autographs pretty much have stopped since we got 3 sigs. I’ll stick with in-house cgc signatures if I want another autograph!
@@postersandstuff absolutely! Unless you’re standing beside the person is it worth the $$$ spent on them! Thanks for commenting and watching postersandatuff!
hi, so with all your experience in what NOT to do, do you recommend any online stores that sell 100% legit autographs? any online or REAL stores that are guaranteed to sell legit autographs?
You took this much better then I would have! At the end of the day though, both posters still looking amazing and like you said a nice conversation piece as well! I am sure learning from those mistakes has served you greatly since!
Its been over 8 years I guess I forgot how pissed I was, lol. Yah, I'll keep them up on my wall as reminder and they do look great! I only get in-person autographs now and if needed CGC yellow labels. Thanks for always watching and commenting, Nik!
Sorry to hear you got burned man, but don’t look at it as a failure, you’ve learned a lot from all this, and although they’re not authentic they still look pretty cool. Keep up the great content my friend !
Years of cooling off about it, lol. Thanks Emmanuel! I’m really excited for the giveaway! Hopefully it comes soon. Thanks again for alway watching and commenting!
The first thing that stood out to me with the Ghostbusters poster was the fact that it wasn't an actual theatrical release poster. Usually whole cast autographs aren't done on cheap after market posters. That, and Bill Murray is notoriously hard to get him to sign anything. Maybe hang it high on the wall so no one can get too close of a look at it? ;)
Yah, and the preview off the poster online shows a poster that has the original autographs and you can't tell if its 27x40" theatrical size. I put it up as high as I could on the wall, lol. Thanks for always watching and commenting, Jemagu!
sad that so many think its cool to sell fakes.if its to cheap alarm bells should be ringing, ive bought a few myself over the years but prefer to get mine in person.
I have a bunch of signed Mighty Mugg vinyl toys of The Walking Dead cast about (12) I know Andrew Lincoln doesn’t sign anything ever usually unless it’s a charity event. Hopefully in a couple years that will change. It’s tough unless your in person. We are lucky in Toronto to have some pretty good guests over the years. The odd time I will find a comic with a signature on the inside front page (Jerry Ordway and a George Perez) which was kinda cool check those 70’s books. Was happy to get a bunch of John Byrne autographs a few years ago for free after never thinking I would. And my favourite Walt Simonson did a free Beta Ray Bill sketch and signed a bunch of books.
Yah, I knew Andrew would probably never come to Toronto for the Expo and my wife is a big fan of his and the show so she jumped on the poster. I have meet so many great guests over the years at the fanexpo. I remember when they didn't charge for their signature. Thanks for watching and commenting potishen!
Wow! once I clean up my man-cave I will get me a couple of posters for sure!. One time I went to goodwill and I found an autographed Eddie Vedder Pearl Jam cd, I compared it to some of his autographed cds online, and it looks legit, I like Pearl Jam so I'm gonna keep it!
Hey Mario, all good, you? Yah, I still can't believe I ended up with two posters, lol. I will keep them up on the wall as a reminder! Thanks for always watching and commenting, Mario!
Fake or not they look amazing in the frame dude, the ghostbuster one looks so real. The walking dead poster, although looks great also, not to mentions the real autographs.
Way TOO cheap for both signed posters. Well over $2,000 framed Ghostbusters one that is real. Ironically, the same person signed all the names on the Ghostbusters poster. (2 different pens but same angles, loops, start and stops). Same as Waking Dead poster (except the ones you got, not sure why you put real signatures on fake poster).
Such cool posters, when getting autograph signing I must see pictures for proof or videos before purchasing, I received a photo print mini poster of the amazing Spider-Man I was really disappointed that it was not an original poster, however Andrew Garfield’s autograph passed and it was real!
Looks like that GB poster could use a press...jk. Autographs are hard to know if they are real or not unless it comes with a CoA but even then those too can be forged.
LOL, good eye! I have seen a couple forged CoA. I even had a seller just grab a CoA from another piece he had and try to use it on a piece I was looking at.....Thanks for watching and commenting, Madmardighan!
Thanks Abelardo! Yah, they do look great on the wall, its definitely a reminder and hopefully you never have to deal with it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I bought an Alex North signed photo. He has been deceased for over 30 years and as soon as I bought it, the seller listed another one, then again and again, over and over the same signed photo. I called Ebay and forced their hand to do something and they finally did.
I have a Spawn number 3 that is signed by Todd McFarlane, but I bought it from a baseball card shop and have no idea if it is real or not. I have my doubts and the signature doesn't seem to match others, though it's not different enough that it could have been signed when he was tired. I have no idea. heh heh I started being a lot more careful after buying a knock-off pokemon game. I've tried to be a bit more savvy since then! No fun getting burned. :)
Yah, It's getting harder to verify with so many fake autographs out there. Hopefully because Todd signs a ton of stuff your autograph is real. Thanks for watching and commenting, Robert!
Can you put my mind to rest please when u say those posters are fake do u mean there reprints ? or there signed by fake people ? I’m just wondering cos I have a few pictures signed and would love to know how to spot a fake and a real
Hey Gracie, the autographs on the poster are fake. The poster is just a print that has a certificate on it that says the poster is certified but reading on the internet doesn’t mean the autographs are….I hope this helps and thanks for watching!
Sometimes shit happens, and who you gonna call? Sorry about your luck, but honestly the amount of forgeries that are deemed authentic are numerous. CBC did a short mini series on counterfeit NHL merch and autographs a few years back. They even went as far as having a 16 year old girl forge player signatures on photos and take them to a convention where a local store (AJ sports) examined them and put their authenticity sticker on the photos. I've also seen a couple autographs that people I know aquired from Bill Murray at TIFF and they are super sloppy in comparison to your poster...still recognizable but far less crisp.
Thanks Turtlepower! Yah, I am at the point now where I will only get an autograph in person or something like what CGC does for their in house signings. Thanks for watching and commenting!
You gotta be real careful with autographs that you don’t get yourself. I have a cast signed poster of Superman Returns that thankfully was real when I got it checked.
