Hey everyone! Took a bit longer to get this video done.... cause I was playing Fallout. Thought it was weird that I said I wanted to start off 'small' but ended up getting close to 2GB anyway 🤣Let me know if you have any questions!
Matt have you been having any stuttering or hitching issues after this last update? I have and I’ve read it could be from the unofficial patch, changing a faction’s appearance and weapons. I’m going to try another play through without those mods and see how the game plays on series X.
i love skyrim and fallout, and whenever i revisit and start a new playthrough i always check out your channel for the mods on xbox. Thanks for your awesome content Matt, keep up the good work!
It’s been hard trying to pick what lighting mod is the best on Xbox. I keep restarting every like hour because I feel like I could find a better one lol
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Yeah I thought so too. But it’s been working. It crashes rarely but it does. Just not often. It also lets me reload where I crashed and it’s fine. It’s hard to find a good mod for interiors only and exterior only. But with these two mods combined it is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. It’s almost perfect.
Hey Man, I love the load order and how true to vanilla it is! I have one question about LO tips, where would Full Dialogue Interface and Start Me Up - Normal Dialogue Prompts go in this LO? Do they work in the current Next-Gen update? Thanks!
I have a question, unless I am just reading the descriptions wrong and not understanding Why do you have a combat rifle remesh, and then a mod that replaces the combat rifle with WM's service rifle?
lol thanks. I misread it for Assault Rifle. Assumed it worked cause I loaded a save with a Combat Rifle on my character 😂 Now I’m torn cause I like both. I’ll amend the spreadsheet.
this load order made me get back into fallout once again ive used like two of ur olds ones n i honestly think this one is the most smooth n i like how u had added some tactical mods i love the immersive gameplay
@@Matt_the_TechRangerhey ive been using ur recent load order n for sum reason theres a lot of shadow under my characters neck like its rlly dark and in some areas the necks will look kind of black any idea on why this is?
@@mikethegamr Have you had mods before that affected the player character? Did you start a new save? There's nothing in the list that affects the player character. Maybe try a hard reset.
Matt I gotta say it.. Iv been watching your mod reviews/load orders for Skyrim/fallout for YEARS now. Iv went through multiple playthrough (even taking breaks from video games and having life happen) and have always loved your content and your mod suggestions. So when I was done redownloading fallout 4 this morning (after taking a long break from gaming) I couldn’t not crack a smile seeing you have a new list ready for me. So cheers man. Thanks for all the hard work you do. You keep people like me coming back and replaying these great games.
@@therealav77 aww thanks 🙏 Happy that these videos always find their way to those that appreciate them. I need to get back to the Wasteland at some point this year.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger always man! Your content is amazing and deserves the views. can we get a new 2024 complete mod order list compile for fallout 4? Or even Skyrim. I always seem to love your mod orders
@@therealav77 I just made one for Skyrim a couple weeks back. I'd imagine I'd get back to Fallout soon. Got several videos planned but I'm sure I'll be back there before the year is out to see whats up.
Hey ik its been a bit since ya made the video but if ya could help that would be great. I followed ya load order but now ingame my 'furniture' section at settlements is gone. Is there a fix?
@@ltskully2376 I don’t really use the Settlement system much unless I need to make a bed. I was able to do that after the update. If you installed something that adds items like that or changes Settlements then I could see that causing an issue. I don’t use mods like that though 🤷♂️ If you’ve used stuff like that on the save you’re using then maybe it’s lingering data. Have you tried a new character?
@@bruh-ge4pe anything that edits NPCS/AI right now will cause performance issues, unless updated, so I’d probably stay away. I usually put audio stuff towards the top where I have mine in this list. Like with anything, read mod descriptions too just in case there are other instructions.
I’ll check that out this week and update the spreadsheet/description if needed. It seems like the Reddit narrowed it down to character overhauls so I’ll make a dupe save, disable that and those character overhauls and see if that changes anything.
Same. You can use that on an existing save. You might want to make sure you’re not loading a save by a bunch of ghouls though, just in case. Make an extra save an try it.
@@Bread-w4n some may rely on other mods to work. I have all the the DLC so it isn’t something that would stop me from downloading mods. If you have examples then I can look but I don’t know all dependancies off the top of my head 😂
I have always had trouble finding the in game third person camera configuration on Xbox search bar any tip to how is should search for it . All the 3rd person animations pop up but not that mod 😂😂
One thing iv noticed and from what iv seen is a cosmetic bug if you use a underwear replacer it messes with gun models cbbe works alone with them but changing the cave underwear itself causes it I know you don't use much it that regards but to anyone using it just a fyi
If you install mods out of order then your game can crash. If it’s really out of order then your save can get corrupted. Think of it like having a ton of programs opening at once. That’s a heavy load on your computer which might crash one or two. Similar thing here.
Camera Presets is out of place on spreadsheet As well As: * Radium * Everything Except Weapons And Armor Is Weightless (Xbox One) * Imperial Brotherhood
I would really appreciate it if you added some segments to the spreadsheet to allow us to add on to your list without breaking the game. Hope that's not a hassle.
You can add rows if you make a copy of the sheet. I’m not really into specific sections per se. Mainly since I run into a lot of mods that contradict categories and need to be placed in a different spot. I believe oddlittleturtle has the Load Order Survival Guide that has a categorized spreadsheet though. I may name some updates to it with that said 😂
All mods are made for Xbox One so I’d imagine it would be fine. You can pick and choose what you’d like to use 👍 The last mod may not be necessary since the new patch on Monday might address that.
What about them? Placement? I don’t use them but those are mods that make big changes so that means they should go high in the list. As with anything, read mod descriptions in case there are instructions. For something like Sim Settlements, the mod author has a whole website setup for the mod.
@@Matt_the_TechRangerIt's good mate love the list using the mod list minus third person stuff and few others to put in home-maker and s.c.a.p. plus smm just trying to find a balance of looks, game play (or rp) and base building and chose this set.
There could be more Creation Club stuff coming in the future outside of the free ones with the update. That stuff is considered DLC so it wouldn't disable achievements on ya.. if you wanted new stuff. Its just kind of limited.
I dunno, wouldn’t it be wiser to wait until issues with next gen update are fixed before even thinking about making a new mod list? You know, quality mode actually working so you can build on that, script extender working so you can actually use game changing mods. This feels like a bit too early, in order to capitalize on the momentum Fallout is having due to the series. Wouldn’t wanna start a new save to then have to start again in a few weeks…
@@Matt_the_TechRanger OK, my example being wrong does not change the meaning of what I said. As you can see, now there's gonna be another patch, so what is the point in starting a new gameplay with a new load order when, after a few days you'll have to do it all over again? It's a game that can easily take hundreds of hours, wouldn't it be better to wait until eveything's fixed and settled before starting a new playthrough? I am saying it as someone who always used your load orders both for Skyrim and Fallout: instead of rushing to start a playthrough with temporary stuff, I'd rather wait for a load order based on the game 'final' update rather than having to reset and restart again and again...
@@MrElsantos69 you can wait to install stuff, it’s ok 👍 I said as much in the video I made for the Update. The main issues have to do with Bethesda.net. There can be issues with mods regardless of any game updates and that will continue to be the case. I’ve been putting that disclaimer in every load order video for years. A lot of people don’t even see the one when they go to the mod menu 😅
i have a question why dont yu ever use the unofficial fallout 4 mod patch above all the mods im just curious do i need it or no im getting into fallout 4 once again
It has a ton of “fixes” that might end up causing issues. It was also causing more stuttering and freezing after the update on top of some of the issues people were dealing with.
Generally, when you apply a new load order, is starting a new charecter required? Additionally, I'm assuming that if I setup a new mod list then load a current save, then the game crashes, the only way my older save spots will work is if I recreate the original mod list that older save was played on? (instead of a the new mod list)
Not necessarily. It’s always best to start fresh but you can always try it on an existing character. If you try to load a bunch of new mods on a save that already has different mods then the game will crash but it’s not the end of the world. If it keeps doing it then that means it’s not going to work most likely. You can try a different save on the character and see how it goes. Usually it’s the quick saves and auto saves that get corrupted. Just don’t delete too many older saves on your character just in case.
Wondering is it best to enable all mods before you click new game, so this will be before you even get to character creation? I've heard some mixed All I have downloaded are mods you've recommended, Vivid Weathers, Phylight & dark, Vivid Fallout AIO & Langleys HD textures and some other texture mods & the Realistic Sound XB1 mod. Thanks
@@Matt_the_TechRanger ok thank you, good to hear. Once I enable them all, I will quit the game properly and do a Xbox reset to be sure everything is ok
No idea. Someone mentioned to me on the Bethesda Discord that he usually takes mods down and re-uploads when finished working on an update. I'm sure he wouldn't have done it if he knew it would keep people out of the mod menu, though 😅
I've not used it but that's a master file so that goes at the top. So since you need the Workshop Framework, you put that on top and Sim under it.. simsettlements.com/site/index.php?threads/xbox-installation-and-update-instructions.15574/
I'd probably put it above any character mods. But then again, I'm not sure it would matter if you don't have any. Like with anything, if a mod mentions placement then I'd follow that.
Haven't used that one yet but I played the first one. You'd probably want it high in your list with the patches under it (if it doesn't automatically go up there). If you use something like the Unofficial Patch, you'd want to load after.
I love your load order except vivid fallout don't care about graphics like most but I have a question if I can fit it in by not adding certain things where would you recommend putting America rising 2, the institute weapon overhaul and south of the sea
Thanks! You can use whatever, I know I tend to go the graphics route a lot. Especially with Skyrim 😅 Quest mods go towards the top. Weapon overhauls just need to be placed under stuff that the overhaul might edit. So if you have other mods that touch the institute, place it under. Where I have the weapons in my list right now is probably where I’d put it
@@Matt_the_TechRanger thanks for the fast reply gonna see if I can get all three to fit within this order but that's wishful thinking their all so big lol
Finally tried out the LO and I am super impressed all i ended up adding was everyone's favorite companion for dog meat amazing follower tweaks and the wattz laser rifle and it's my new fav LO
@@MuStYkAtT666 glad you liked it! I’m about 23 hrs in after the power session last night. I found a mod that lessens the chance of vertibirds spawning. That seems to cause some frame drops so that has helped. I’ll add it to the spreadsheet later.
I just use that animation mod that I have (requires in-game third person camera configuration) and I also have the Camera Presets mod. I like to use the Life Is Strange or Mika999 presets but Default looks good with the animations. Better Camera 2 is also awesome for thumbnails but maybe that’s just me 😅
Ah ok cool, is there a way to change the snap back to center das camera. When my charter doesn't move, the camera snaps back to center. Essentially right behind the character.
@@cringeman4199 oh yea i think that’s a requirement for the F4NV weapon mod. Another thing I ended up doing was removing Dan’s Combat Rifle mod since I had the Service Rifle replacer. You can use one of the other 👍 Thanks!
@@CountlessCA I have a combat rifle texture in my list but that doesn't seem to affect any other legendary combat rifles I've found so far. You might want to submit a ticket to Bethesda and attach that image.
@@CountlessCA Could be something to do with The Attachment Pack if you're using that. I noticed that when adding mods to weapons at the workbench but never actually used any so I figured it was just a visual thing at the workench.
Just clicked on the video but I hope you explain how you even got the mods to work post update because I can’t even “log in” to the mod section on Xbox
@@mattstone9364 You can try relinking your Bethesda account on the website: bethesda.net/en/account/linked-accounts It may help. Uninstalling the game and doing a hard reset might also help since it'll clear your system cache.
There's a number of mods that will make you exit to main menu if you view the mod page. Having these installed prevents you from logging in. Had to delete my reserved space. Luckily I knew which mod was the culprit and the removed it from my library on Bethesdas website.
@@Matt_the_TechRanger Oooh, yesss, that's what i tried to do, i deleted it, but then when i opened the game it filled up to 2gb again by itself (the reserved space)
@@Matt_the_TechRanger it's a fresh save, the save is base vanilla game with added mods, the mod I added to see if it worked was vivid however it crashes when loading a save into Boston
