His teeth are likely really straight and in good condition. Straight teeth in great condition will make that sharp sound the S is actually supposed to sound sharp like that.

@@Vix2066 I don't think so the dad would've been in panic mode when they went out of the given perimeter the first time instead of sneaking up on them to prank scare them. The title could be click bait, or in some form of past tense if they've never told anyone else about the creature, then yeah they have a secret.
