Note for Lauren in case she gets into this game: Ted and Dolores are the only two character required to be alive in order for anyone to survive. If they die it's implied that Timmy and Mary Jane try to go off to find a new home. This game is more fun if you play it through the eyes of someone during this time period. As in always make Ted do everything and prioritize everyone in order of age and gender (the younger you are the more you're prioritized but being female trumps age). When you get the suitcase encounter NEVER OPEN IT, it almost always has a virus or some kind of trap and you'll never get anything out of it. The boys scout book and the radio are the two most important items, the radio will out you on track for a good ending and the boys scout book helps repair stuff. Most of the encounters where you have to send a person to do some thing won't affect the person (except one playthough I heard of where someone sent Ted to do something and he blew up and died, I have no idea which one it is) Good luck! Edit: also sidenote Ted isn't reading the newspaper in the scavenge section, he's reviewing blueprints for some thing. He was originally the only character who was able to participate in that section and he's still trying to help if you pick Dolores.

Word of advice for this game: If there is an event that shows pictures of any item that you have, (for instance, the trader event) then you can click any one of those to go through with the event. You could’ve possibly gotten water or a med kit from the trader for your checkers.

Hi Lauren! Here’s a tip for 60 Seconds if you ever play this again. Every family member can go 5 days without water and 5 days without soup. So you should only feed and give them water every 5 days.

A few things I’d like to tell you: 1. The characters can survive 5 days without food or water 2. Going out on expeditions are necessary 3. Make sure to get the gas mask and med kit 4. If there are spiders in the bunker don’t do anything because Mary Jane could become mutant and that gets you a lot when going out on expeditions 5. Timmy is best to let out for expeditions Guring the start of the game

I really hope you play this again, as such, some lifesaving tips! The most important items you 100% always need (aside from food and water, obviously) At least one weapon, (for reasons you'll come to understand, eventually) the boy scout book, because it fixes almost anything, and also makes it where they can survive up to 5 days without water, and 10 without soup, which is essential for survival, the radio for several reasons, but the main one being that if you get the scenario to tune into the radio to see what's going on outside, and they say the fallout outside is mostly gone, then you no longer have to use the gas mask when you go scavenging in the wasteland, because of no more radiation, speaking of which, the gas mask so when you send scavengers, they don't come back sick from radiation, that way if you need to scavenge before the fallout is gone, you won't have to worry about the aforementioned radiation poisoning, a medkit, the flashlight, (because if you get the scenario where they try to leave the bunker, but there's a growl and eyes in the darkness after they open it, you need to shine the light on the mysterious creature, DO NOT choose the gun and shoot it, trust me, I won't spoil why, but you'll be really happy you didn't fire) the map is also essential, and if you get the briefcase you can have scavengers bring more than one item on a scavenge, like if you have the axe and gun, you can have the scavenger take the briefcase, and then they'll also be able to take the gas mask, and another item of your choice, like the axe or gun to defend themselves, although you don't necessarily need to, they usually come back just fine, although there is a chance they could die in the wasteland, so never send out the person you're playing as, when you search the house at the beginning of every attempt, whether it's Ted or Dolores, since if they die, it's over. Also if you get a scenario with a bunch of spiders, either don't kill them or try and hit them with the boy scout book, I don't remember which it is, and something will happen that is awesome, and will help you a lot with scavenging, it doesn't happen every time, you have to get lucky, but you'll know when you've gotten it, trust me. Edit: oh and I just remembered, there's many endings to the game, the axe is needed for certain endings, in fact every item in the game has it's uses, even the cards, and the checkers board.

So when lauren answered the phone it triggered the twin ending so when she sent mary jane out it wasnt an expedition because for expeditions you need to prepare in advance, when she clicked mary jane she enabled the twin ending to continue. Theres multiple endings which includes the giverment ending, which involves the radio, the twin ending with the phone call, the cat lady ending which is the sleezy trader asking for soup and ends with only dolores in the bunker (sometimes if dolores dies the same day that it requires the ending to be showed then whoever else is in the bunker would be shown with the cats, this happened to gloom with timmy) also youd need alot of soup, another ending including the scientist ending which requires the cat and following the cat. Also for the twin ending you cant raid anyone as the twins are "always watching" and require you to be kind and never raid. You would know if you raided when a bloody hand pront appears on the wall of the bunker. Also if you see the "growling beast" i recommend you use the flash light, then youd use a soup can and med kit as this allows you to get a dog which could be useful as sometimes it goes out and gets you resources. Also keep in mind if you want the cat lady ending do not keep ted, he is allergic to the cats and will get sick. If you want the dog dont keep dolores as she doesnt like the dog and will lose sanity. Any type of mutated bug has a chance of mutating mary jane which is extremely helpful as she doesnt need as much food or water, doesnt get sick and has unlimited times to go outside. Also there are bandits in the game so if you go outside you have a chance of being followed which you would need 1 of 4 things to protect yourselfs (Axe, Gun, Kazoo, Padlock) padlock gets destroyed along with sometimes the gun and axe but kazoo doesnt. Also when an object is not scribbled that means you can pick it, you dont need to have all the objects. I also recommend keeping track of food and water and not just giving it whenever they complain. Water every 5 days, food every 10 if low, if not food and water every 5 days. Also if the kids run away from helath, food ir water deprivation then they cannot come back. They make them run away as its messed up to have dead kids bodys in the bunker. Also if both parents die the game ends as it requires parental figures in the bunker at all times.
