Thank you so much for this documentary. As a millenial Quebecker, it is part of my province's history. It was such a decisive time, there was a revolution. I wasn't born yet, it's so interesting to really see how life was in Montreal back then.

What an incredible journey for democracy. Paul Rose and his family gave up soo many of their years to fight corruption in colonialism. His mother was such an incredible woman encouraging her children while in the midst of poverty. She realised the importance of education to get a voice out there and make a difference for not only her own family but every family suffering at the hands of tyranny. Thank you for sharing. X

Cannot agree. I live in Québec. Paul Rose created evil havoc. He was a dangerous criminal. He should never be made out to be a hero. Keep that for the movies. This man was bad, bad, bad.

Well, for once, being from Québec and speaking French is a big asset when it comes to this video. 😅 I think they should translate and dub it instead of having subtitles... It would make it more accessible. I don't understand why I haven't seen this before though. I had family that were somewhat involved with the FLQ in the 70s. Crazy stories, crazy times. Thanks for the upload!

As a Canadian born and raised in Ontario I love Quebec and it's unique culture. No other part of Canada is quite like it. Montreal is one of my favorite cities to visit and Canada wouldn't be the same without La Belle Province.

Glorifying a murderer as if he were some sort of hero is craven. Rose kidnapping and murdering an unarmed human being was an act of cowardice. There are always better ways. Rose chose the way of a murderous criminal.

I'd say that this would be a great time for us Canadians to grow a pair and fight back against tyrannical government and start a revolution! People back then actually fought for their freedoms etc. Quebec now??? They're about to make it "ILLEGAL" for someone to go to a dispensary or liquor store if you don't comply with their tyrannical extortion!
@dixietrepanier4701
@dixietrepanier4701 2 года назад
Fighting for their freedom included kidnapping and murder. The Québec government is trying to apply pressure to the non- vax's. It's not Premier Legault's fault that we have covid.

Never ever allow the French language to die off in Québec....once the Anglo Saxon controls and proceeds to destroy it there is no way back.As an Irishman that's ultimately how they destroyed the Gaelic/Irish race, destruction of language and culture is irreparable,unlike society and government. French and English are equal languages in Canada ever since the Official Languages Act was passed in 1969. There's no danger of the French language dying off. They are both the official languages of Canada having preferred status in law above all other languages.
