This was great! Jiang Cheng is my favorite too! However, Jiang Cheng ain't all innocent himself and had done some very messed up things and had hurt people he cared for just as much as he was hurt. He hurt Wei Ying just as much as Wei Ying hurt him and that is why it is so hard for them to properly talk now as they do love each other but all the hurt and pain had left a massive gap they haven't figured out how to bridge quite yet...and that is very sad. I understand why you didn't focus on his flaws as then it would seem it was a Wei Ying video instead of his as most of his significant flaws show themselves around Wei Ying most prominently. Like the fact he tortured and unalived so many people, cause they could have been Wei Ying or were demonic cultivators...not the best thing on his record for sure. He shouldn't be instantly forgiven for his sins just like people should also realize that Wei Ying isn't completely faultless as to why Jiang Cheng is so upset at him...like even Wei Ying understands that his choosing the Wen's remnants over the Jiangs was going to hurt Jiang Cheng...but most of all he broke his promise and Wei Ying knows that so it always sucks to see people say Jiang Cheng overreacted and yeah he did go overboard later down the line, but he also was betrayed and hurt by the person he considered a brother and also still dealing from losing everyone else in his family and now he is losing Wei Ying, which I feel felt almost worse, as his other family he knew if they could have they would have stayed but Wei Ying left from his own free will. Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng are both flawed and I love them so much. But ahem, rant over on that brotherly duo. onto a wholesome note, Jing Ling and Jiang Cheng! I love you added that bond as most tend to leave it out for some reason even tho Jiang Cheng is the person Jing Ling cares most about and is the closet thing he has to a father and he adores his uncle and it is such a sweet bond and I am glad you added the fact that Jiang Cheng talks a big game but we all can tell Jing Ling was a spoiled child and no way Jiang Cheng ever went through with any of his threats XD

Ok first off thank you for commenting such a long comment! I really appreciate it! Secondly, yea jiang cheng is not innocent. He killed many Wens during the war and after that. The thing is what you're saying abt Jiang cheng torturing and killing demonic cultivators is all just a rumour. It's not confirmed in the novel and even the vendor who was telling a resurrected Wei wuxian that admitted that jiang cheng didn't actually do anything. So yea I'm about 90% sure that whole thing was just a rumour to keep Yunmeng safe. Case in point even when he knew mo xuanyu was demon cultivator and he was pretty sure it was actually wwx he didnt actually hurt him at all. Also yea jc really was betrayed by wwx. It may not seem that much to people but someone you love breaking their promise and ultimately choosing other people over you hurts like hell. Lastly, YES JIN LING IS JIANG CHENG'S WHOLE WORLDDDD😍 istg despite jiang chengs flaws, he always makes sure that jin ling knows he's loved and that jiang cheng is always on his side. I love that for them. Also despite Jin Ling calling him Jiujiu I'm pretty sure he means A-Die😉

@@rosellestorm yes jc was betrayed by wwx, but in the same instance wwx was betrayed by jc. wwx left the sect and his brother to protect innocents, while the same time jc turned his back on wwx and refused to help him protect those innocents. And i feel like the fact that jc LEAD a siege against the burial mounds that not only resulted in wwx death but the MURDER of innocent people, that he KNEW where there by the way, was very much ignored here.

@@fandomtrash7505 But you're also ignoring the fact that Yunmeng Jiang was a weak clan who had no support from the other clans. What could Jiang Cheng have done even if he wanted to help the Wens? JC himself told WWX that if wwx wants to protect the Wens, he cannot protect wwx. Jc had a sect to take care of, he cannot afford to offend the other sects and cause them to turn on Yunmeng Jiang. He wanted to protect wwx but he literally couldn't because he didn't want his people to die anymore. Wwx knew that, that's why they staged the battle saying that wwx defected so that whatever wwx does, it will not cause harm to the jiang clan. Sure he led the siege, he was consumed with rage after his sister's death; it doesn't justify his actions but it does give us a reason for it. Wwx's death was his own fault, even though jc led the siege, it was backlash of demon cultivation that killed wwx, it can't be blamed on jc. Everyone knew that the wens at burial mound were innocent but no one spoke up in their defense right? not even the righteous lan clan. they were all protecting themselves, not wanting to offend the biggest clan at the moment, the jin clan. It is a war, there are gonna be innocent casualties. About ignoring that part in this video, honestly all the characters here have grey-morality. Chuuya has killed probably more innocents than Jiang Cheng. The only ones who would care are probably Todoroki, Sugawara and Cherry but they would rather support their new friends than condemn them for things that already happened so I didn't see a point in adding that in. The Yunmeng brothers are a sad tale but blame doesn't lie solely on any one of them. They both made bad decisions but people always blame Jiang Cheng more despite him having the short end of the stick with his lack of information and heavier responsibilities so this video was made from his point of view. I am a little late to reply but I don't know where people getting this "the wen remnants are innocent" like yes the child and the grandma were innocent but the others? no not completly. Wwx himself refers to them as cultivators a few times because most of them were indeed under Wen Nings command during the war they just didn't particapate in the Jiang massacer. Don't get me wrong I think the whole situation was messed up and most of the wens particapated because they (probably) had loved ones to protect but so does everyone else? Everyone in this book looks after themselves and those they consider important to them first so why is that one party gets labeled as innocent and the other the evil murderer? Like thats the whole point of the book no one is right or wrong and there is no right answer everything is complicated. Also people very much like to ignore that Wwx tortured (all the Wens under Wen Chao not just Wen Chao himself) and threatened people (like yes the Jins deserved a little wake up call but Wwx just digging his own grave with this). Sorry for the rant I am just so done with the "Wwx did noting wrong and Jc did everything wrong" people. I hope it was at least understandabel english is not my first language. I take this opportunity to say that I love this video. So much effort went into this and it shows.

@@lorna5646 but the wens and wei wuxian were just farming, jiang cheng saw that. Everyone killed during the war, so should every cultivator be killed now? They were just blindend by their hatered against the wens. The war was over they did not need to kill the wens, that is what makes them murderers, they were not in a war where they had no other choice, they just killed out of hate. you can not just bring the example of wei wuxian torturing wen chao and his pests, they pushed him in the burial mounds and were the main attackers in yunmeng jiang massacer, should he have just let them die peacefully? Wen chao intetionaly hurt and tortured wei wuxian. The wen remnants were forced because of war. What should have wei wuxian done to the jins then? The cultivation world already hated wei wuxian, you think they would believe him if he said the jins tortured the wens? Ofc wei wuxian is not innocent either he knows what he did and regrets it. The cultivations world did not and never will. Both wei wuxian and jiang cheng are complex characters and that is what you love about them both of the are not purely white they both are different shades of gray characters.

It might shift the blame too much on WWX's side and only show one perspective of the story, yet it portrays so much on jwy's feelings regarding the gap between both brothers and all the miscommunication since they were little. From his feelings regarding JFM's favouring WWX over him and the mindset of YZY just wanting him to be better, thus being all harsh at him, to the start of their breaking point, the Jindan transfer, thinking that WWX shouldn't have done that and left him to die (although if so, it means he'd send JYL into a pit of politics with snakes since JYL is the last heir, but in his delirious mind he didn't think about it). Both have flaws in their relationship and unsolved uncommunicative-able grudges between them and neither is a saint in the story. They're humans. Great job with this vid ✨✨

It seems like that because usually they make reactions about Wei Wuxian's side of the story, but in this case this is how Jiang Cheng sees it. Jiang Cheng felt hurt and betrayed, but honestly a lot of things could have been avoided if everyone sat down and talked it out instead of keeping a lot of secrets.

However since I wanted this series to be relatively canon I didn't add any headcanons besides the famous ships (Matchablossom/Daisuga) but I 100% believe that Jiang cheng is ace😁😄 Thanks for commenting!❤

This video was really good but even after watching it it still dose not change the fact that Jiang Cheng caused most of his loneliness and suffering. I don't like the fact that they made Wei Ying to be the bad guy when all he did was for his brother. They made him out to be some one who was looking down on Jiang Cheng when in reality he dose not and Wei Ying really respects him. Amazing video but my opinion on him remains the same. he is selfish, unwilling to look at things from a different view, a liar, lonely due to his stupidly and sacredness , and rude to those who just want to help. My opinion please don't think I'm dissing this video or the person who made it because I'm not this is just my thoughts nothing else. If anyone thinks they can change my mind feel free to try. Keep up the good work. Your videos are really cool and I love watching them. :3
