Is there a way to automatically generate keystrokes during a screen capture? I'm creating software tutorials for work and this would greatly speed up the process. (ps...I work on a Mac)
I’ve been working my way thru 2024 for the past couple of weeks. So far I love it. I don’t know what they did, but it handles large files exponentially better than the previous version, which for me was close to being unusable. I just started getting into the dynamic captions and voice to text feature. Looks to me like e very promising. I’m not too keen on their new subscription system, but I get it. See ya this afternoon!
@@claudiamameli9657 I am not familiar with "C" or "CA" versions of Camtasia... I'm not sure what you're referring to. There are versions for Mac and for Windows... is that what you mean? If so, all the animations in this video are available in both versions.
Wow!!! That was an awesome video. Thank you for sharing. In future can you please make a video to show how to create a menu with at least 3 options and depending on what option the user clicks, the the video jumps to a specific part that covers that option. I am not sure if Camtasia can do that. Great job Rob :)
Unfortunately I won't be making any videos on older versions of Camtasia... only the latest versions. BUT accessing the existing library shouldn't be that difficult, as long as you have a subscription to the assets? Tech Support can probably help you with this too. Best of luck! :-)
How do you fix my original issue audio that's out of sync after rendering? Now, after contacting Camtasia for help and going through their "troubleshooting", my audio is out of sync after recording my video, by at least 10 frames. This is totally unacceptable considering how much they charge for this program. I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to sync my audio. I'm not a software engineer. I just want to make basic videos. Is there a simple solution?
I have not had this issue before. Is your project very long? Is it 4K video? Are there a lot of complex animations? What are the specs of the computer you have Camtasia on and is it a PC or a Mac? How much RAM do you have? What version of Camtasia? The only thing I can think of is something is causing your setup to "struggle".... whether it's a lot of animations/effects or maybe trying to do too much with a less powerful computer... that's really all I can think of. If you think that may be the issue you can try using the Proxy video setting for any videos in your project... then it wouldn't use up so much memory. You can also try to render/export at a lower quality setting to see if that helps? I'm sorry I don't have any direct or concrete answer without knowing more about what you're trying to do and with what setup..
I do not use a green screen... Camtasia has a nice feature called "Background Remover" and as long as there is good separation between me and my background (and the Sigma lens I use helps with that), then it's fantastic at removing only the background and none of me. Splitting the screen in half can be accomplished by layering one clip on top of the other, and then move the clips each to one side, and perhaps crop them as well. I hope that helps! :-)
Hey Rob! I just stumbled on your RU-vid channel, love it and I subscribed! What time are your weekly livestreams? I searched the about section but couldn't find it. Thank you!
Sounds great! Welcome!! The live streams I host are every Tuesday at 1:00pm EST (Toronto and New York time). The last few have gone on for over 3 hours, but I'll be trying to keep it closer to 2 hours from now on :-)
Excellent Job Rob! Your tutorials on Camtasia are easy to follow. Please keep up the good work. Looking forward to the first 2024 version tutorial this afternoon.
@@RobtheMaritimer thank you so much for the quick reply. I’m a new subscriber to your channel and preparing to purchase my subscription. Can I do so through an affiliate link you may have? Looking forward to your live video coming up.
I really appreciate that! You can use the link I have in the description… it’s my affiliate link :) Looking forward to you joining the live stream! Welcome :)
The first Live Stream in the new "Camtasia Tutorials" series is tomorrow (Tuesday)! If you have any questions you'd like me to answer, or have an idea for a Camtasia demonstration you'd like me to go through, leave it in the comments below 🙂
When Camtasia 2025 is available it will only be available as an annual subscription… you’ll no longer be able to “buy” it. So it makes no difference if you subscribe now or if you wait… you’ll be able to download 2025 even if you get 2034 now :)
Another good tutorial for which I will add several of your tips. Some specific ones that I noted are: Ypour emphasis of favorites to capture items used regularly, ease in and out vs. linear with animations, adding a stagnate screen at the end of the animation. Still thinking about how I may use the 3D screen animation you demonstrated. May be cool looking but thinking about how it may add value to learning for the types of videos I make which are woodworking software type tutorial as well as projects. You do have me thinking. Finding your tutorials very helpful. Keep going and looking forward to binging when I get a chance on some of your previous videos.
Some of the more complex animations (like 3D screens) are likely not necessary if you're presenting or demonstrating software.... you wouldn't want to take away from your message. But these tricks could be useful if you're making a more dynamic type of video like an explainer video or website homepage video. Thank you for your comments :-)
Good to see stuff like that. And the right place to answer my question. Sir, I am interested in Trading view video using camtasia like wysetrade RU-vid channel. I don't need a complete guide but initial steps to get into. Guide me please. Thanks.
When you edited your video to insert the dead space, I was wondering if you could also have used the effect that slows down the video. I forget the name of it. You’d still need to split the video.
Extending the recording with a static frame is a game changer for me. Thank you! I would like to know why you use custom animation to zoom instead of Zoom-n-Pan, or did that go away with the upgrade from 2022 to 2023?
I've just gotten used to using the Custom animation for pretty much all my animations... even though you could've also used the Zoom-n-Pan tab in Animations. Having said that, I don't see the Zoom-n-Pan tab in Animations anymore... it seems to have gone (I use a Mac). I'm not sure when it was removed since I never really used it to begin with! But as with many tools in Camtasia, there's often more than one way to do things... the right way is often just the way that works best for you :-)
I was wondering the same. I’m using Camtasia 2023 on Windows and recently learned how to do this using the pan and zoom so it must be a windows only feature. But tbh it has been a difficult feature due to the interface. The way that you showed it here I’m think might be easier. I’m going to give it a try.
Hello and congratulations for this super professional video ! I am in the process of training to create my own educational videos, And I hope to one day be able to make videos of this quality. Could you tell me the equipment used to create your camera animations? Indeed I am a novice but I imagine that you are using a green background ... But in the videos that I can watch on RU-vid in general there is not as good quality ... Do you have a tip to give me or have you made a tutorial video on this? Thank you again for this video which perfectly details the use of the Camtasia tool 👍 Didier ( From France)
