My favorite episode so far! | First time watching SUPERNATURAL Reaction 1x12 'FAITH' 

This episode sadly shows us Dean biggest hang up. He doesn’t care about himself. Everyone else is worth saving expect for him. His self esteem is extremely low. He’s not suicidal but he doesn’t think much of himself

This is also the first episode in which we see two very special things that will become recurrent in the boys’ journey: 1) The Winchesters are willing to do anything to try and save each other. Sam, who was raised to know about magic and all of its dangers, was willing to risk it all to save his brother, and I firmly believe he would do it all over again even fully knowing what was going to happen to all those people. 2) Neither of them, but most especially Dean, cares about themselves. They will not only risk everything but also risk themselves in the process of keeping the other one alive

My favorite episode of season 1. I felt so bad for Layla and the last scene when Dean says: “I‘m not much of a praying type, but I‘m gonna pray for you“ always makes me cry.

Dean being a flirt is one of his most endearing qualities in this show.

I love this episode, because it gives so much depth to the boys, Dean especially. Sam was always so busy trying to get away from it all, that he never considered how he'd feel if Dean actually got hurt or died during a hunting trip. Because of the way he's idolised Dean since childhood, in his mind he was untouchable. So he tried even harder to save him. And Dean. 💔 he is so utterly selfless. He genuinely doesn't think he's important at all. Which, on the one hand, is what makes him an effective and competent hunter. He's fearless when it comes to himself. But on the other, is just so tragic.. 😟 He has a very low opinion of himself. But not in an insecure way. He has plenty of confidence. He's just confident in the fact that he's not important to the grand scheme of things. He intends to fight for others until he goes out doing so. Leila is one of those characters that just stay with you. Even years later. Probably in no small part because of Julie Benz' acting. Such a sad ending.

It gets me upset how low Dean's self esteem is, he deserves so much and he doesn't see it 🥺

Deans 26-27 in season 1. As was the actor. The actors were the same age in the series. Actually Jensen was 28 by the end of season 1. He was only 26 in the pilot (turned 27 in episode 2).

Dean still looks gorgeous even when he is sick and dying, love this episode!

Sad they changed the song that played when the reaper was chasing the woman. Dont fear the reaper was too good of a song.

One of my favourites of S1. Such an incredibly well written episode, we see so much between Sam and Dean and we get to see more about who Dean is really. Dean and Layla were both so sweet together. It's a really sad episode, but beautiful too.

Layla Rourke is one of those characters that sticks with you long after you watch the episode. It's really amazing how few episodes some of our favorite characters are in, lol, but they just stick with us. ❤️

"i'm not much of the praying type, but im gonna pray for you" still gets me, WOOOOWWWW also when most of all watched it we all thought we had skipped one ep cause the beginning is like them at action and all that, so ditto here

These early episodes are SO beautifully written and SO beautifully shot. Throughout the series, Dean always feels that he's supposed to be dead, and that feeling starts here. It repeats a bunch of times, there are a zillion times when Dean dies and comes back (and other people die and come back too, it becomes sort of a joke), but I really like how they dealt with the idea of "what's dead should stay dead" at the end of the series.

this episode is one of my absolute favorites, it is just so damn good. I love when the show really starts delving deeper and deeper into the Winchester World Lore.

This is the first time we meet a reaper. I'm happy to see that you enjoy each episode. It was really heartbreaking for Leila, but when is life ever fair? On to the next case for the cute Winchesters. :)

I love everything about this show, from the horror to the humor, the hot guys and the killer music, but I cannot wait for the hilariously wild meta episodes to come!

I wish since the Reaper took Sue Ann they could have saved Layla. She was such a forgiving person. This was a great episode. That was a creepy Reaper! Great reaction! Go Wings! ☮

I saw Julie Benz on Buffy before I started watching Supernatural. Seeing her in this episode was such a treat! I've loved everything I've see her in.

This is one of my most favorite episodes. Sadly since you're watching it probably on Netflix you're not getting the soundtrack. When the reaper was after the guy in the parking lot they were playing Don't Fear the Reaper. This show is loaded with classic rock because that's what Dean loves. Unfortunately Netflix changed it. I'm so glad to hear that you're going to be doing all 327 episodes so buckle up because you're on one heck of a ride.

I think that was a reaper, Dean avoided death so it would make sense that he saw him for a brief second

This is one of the moments in season one where watching it on a streaming service is not ideal. Because they didn't have the streaming rights for all the songs at the time, so they had to replace some songs. When the reaper was chasing the young girl jogging, you should have heard "Don't Fear The Reaper" which is a much more awesome intro song for the character.
